black thingys are the hot topic Patty.. not out of bounds... we just don't know what they are and why 46 of them were taken out..

(oh and the last live feed that went out still had detectives at the house.. so there could be more than that)

Did anyone get any stills of them?

Same subdivision. Most of us have been here more than 20 years. A lot of those have been here 40+.

I noticed that you have been a member here for a long time. I bet you never dreamed something this horrific would ever happen so close to you and in your own neighborhood. I have seen many posters post that they wish they were closer to the crime scene or I wish I could go there when on different cases, but I bet you wish you were a million miles away. It must be on your mind constantly. It would be mine. Thanks for all your posts and information you share.

I actually heard on one of the interviews of the neighbors in the very beginning and it has stuck in my mind ever since. Every garage sale I have had; someone has asked to use the restroom or go in to try something on.

I've had several garage sales and never had anyone ask to go in the house, it would be possible I suppose.

But if that had happened wouldn't DB have told that to police?

What do you think of the theory that the kidnapper could have spotted Lisa at the recent garAge sale and watched until they had their chance?
They wouldn't know the layout of the house, the sleeping arrangements, I could go on. This was not random IMO.

sorry but I have never seen a search warrant that did not cover the entire house.
Why are you apologising?

OK, and I've seen too many warrants to keep count of that did not cover the entire house, only specific areas of the home.

We can chalk this up to different experience wrt warrants. That's fine.

:)
Of course LE has to stay within the scope of the warrant. No indication so far that I've seen that they are not doing so.
Neither have I. I'm sure it's all above board.
Ditto.

I never heard that. Do you have a link?

Are the family cars still in their possession? If the parents are guilty, and moved her body,
it seems like LE would want those cars for any possible evidence.

I wish I remembered the case. It was like 6 weeks ago. An 8 year old girl supposedly disappeared after SF dropped her off at school. They found her in the late afternoon. LE had a news conference that night and they acted as if they didn't know anything. Next day they released the info that she had been found.

Absolutely, and it would happen more often if people could keep their traps shut!! Sorry, I know that we all want to know what is going on, but in the long run that's not what is often best for the case. When the tighten everything up they lessen the chance of leaks (at least you hope that's what happens). This is not just a MP case where someone wandered off. There is foul play involved, a crime was committed by someone or multiple someones.
They may very well have found her, or evidence of her, or of the crime, we should be the last to know.

I absolutely agree. It would almost be best if the media could just run constant pics of Lisa without the suppositions and twisted comments. Then we could do what is most important and focus on Lisa Nd not what some old friend from an army base has to say about the mother 8 years later!

I truly hope we find this little lady safe and can get her back where she belongs. Don't forget to pray for her brothers who are most surely devastated and confused.

Sooo would not happen in my world. They would get a big fat NO. But this is also why I don't have garage sales. Don't know about them though.

LoL They are looking for pills in your med cabinet or something to steal. No reason ever to let a stranger in your house and it is not rude to say no.

The dogs searched cars yesterday that were on the property. No hits I don't believe.

I don't know how you can argue that the warrant in this case covers a "pertinent" area within the house only when we know the search has been going on for hours both inside and outside the house. I've never seen a warrant that restricts LE to only a specific area inside a house and I don't believe this one does, either.

JMO

I don't think turnadot is saying THIS warrant only covers a "pertinent" area within the house. I think he/she was trying to explain that search warrants are supposed to be as specific as possible and related to the probable cause the Judge signs off on - and that's true. LE needed to be able to show, based on their probable cause, that they expected to recover something in the yard and something in the house, in order to search both places.

It appears to me that LE must have pretty solid probable cause to do the in depth search I saw on the video today.

I know that this is not helping the case, but someone mentioned earlier that Sprint phones don't have SIM cards. I am carrying a Sprint HTC Evo and mine has a SIM card. Just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that I know of at least one that does.

sprint phones that have sim cards do not use the cards while the phone is being using in the US. the card must be activated by sprint if you want to use it in countries that only support gsm (sim card) networks - as in most european countries. hope this helps.
