What is a sump pump, what is it for, and what does it look like? Is it in the house or outside? tia

normally a hole in the basement floor that has a pump in it, that pumps out water if the basement starts to flood. The pump can be easily removed then the hole is exposed. Always has some water in it.

Lights being turned on might make a clicking sound?

Or in the yard... if you're the lowest house on the street... :innocent:

That mother starved her child. I can see someone who thinks she is smarter than everyone else doing a copy-cat with the details but changing the outcome. DB has gone out of her way to remind the public that Lisa was well fed. We've all see the store video where she purchased wine and baby food. She announced days ago she expects to be charged with murder.

Good catch! She sure did and this was odd at the time she said this in that interview. Parents are expected to have a baby that is well fed, so why point it out?

Maybe LE is also going to look for the object that the made clicking sounds that the children heard? What makes clicking sounds? Someone checking to see if a lighter works? Typing on a computer keyboard?

What about a screen as you raise it? Mine I have to push in button like thingies on each side and hold in as I raise and it click clicks?

window makes the clicking sound when opening and closing. The kind they have anyway. BBQ Lighter as mentioned, baby crib putting the rail up and down; camera shutter; ceiling fan; that is all I can think of

- certain shoes (heels on hardwood; flip-flops)
- cleaning? (broom on hardwood; spray bottle; etc)

Any locals here? Wondering if house is dark, a la luminol being used, or lit up brightly as if cops are in there playing poker all night...

If you're on city sewer and your house is below the level of the lines you may also have a sump pump to push it all up the hill to the line.

Wow. Now I'm really glad I'm a flatlander.

Neglect. Baby died of starvation while mom played video games. Twenty five years old and already had four kids and she plays video games all day.

Sounds like my granddaughter's mother. The baby was in the crib all day, the back of her head was flat.
Then she met a guy while playing the game, World of Warcraft. He was 19 and lived across the country. She was 26. She picked up and moved to be with him and left her 2 year old baby behind. Hasn't seen her since, nearly 3 years. Oh, they "talk" on webcam. That is her version of mothering.
Thank God my son was responsible and has taken care of her ever since. Best thing that ever happened was her leaving town.

Kids probably know what keyboard typing sounds like. Clicking must be something else, IMO.

Wow, with our collective brains we are smart as heck and should be hired as volunteer Detectives.

Do webcams click?

The luminescence will only glow for a short period of time. I think it is less than one hour.
