There are a lot of peeps who put missing children photos or posters as their profile pic on FB to help get the word out (myself included).

But, why is anyone sleuthing a FB friend of her brother???!!!

Daisy Thank You for reminding everyone that the brother's FB, the Cousin's FB, the Dad's FB, all other random FB is not allowed for discussion here. The only FB that is allowed here is the Mom's which is private, so thus not allowed, and the Dads. And Mainstream Media FB is allowed.

Did LE take their computer on the first search of their home?

Ashley Irwin said they were the first things they took.

I'm from KC and we call those Walk-Out Basements cause you can walk out into the back yard. :)

what if she was talking to someone online?

It's a daylight ranch. Meaning the main floor opens to the front door, and the basement opens to the backyard. Not a real "basement" like in older homes.

Thanks for clarifying, gwenabob. I've never heard the term "daylight ranch" before. Instead, we give a long description, like "Well, it's built into a hill and there's a walk-out door to the basement in the back", rather than a bulkhead. Daylight ranch is so much simpler!

No, but chat rooms would

Can't be anything involved with the computer though...LE would easily be able to tell if she'd been on after her 10:30 bedtime story.

My gut says lighter. And if thats the case...no way LE is looking for a lighter.

I've heard a discronificator make that same sound.

A WHAT? It is too late for me to look this up. Can you give me a hint? Is it bigger than a bread box. :floorlaugh:

I read that somewhere on here. It came out after Tacopina became their attorney so it had to be released in the last two days.

Ah, you must mean when Tacapina said he was hearing "cha-ching" sounds...

J/K, I've never heard clicking either....but that doesn't mean it wasn't reported.

No. Scent tracking dog tracks live scent, and cadaver dog senses dead people.

Had an interesting convo with the K-9 handler where I work. He has had both cadaver and track dogs and now an explosive dog.

I asked him if someone put a body in a garbage bag or a plastic container, and sealed it up then carried out of the house, would they be able to follow it? He said yes, as gases are still released through the bag and the dog would smell them.

He even said water search dogs can stand on the point of the boat and smell gases lifting from the water 60 ft deep.

He also explained why Blood Hounds are only used for live tracking as their wrinkles pick up the skin flakes (called Rift) and their long ears continue to stir up the scent.

I learned alot.

It was supposedly stated on that Good Morning America interview.

Sorry to pull your leg. In the automotive field its a made up part. A fantasy.

ETA: It's kind of like an update on a muffler bearing.

I HOPE they find something on their computer....how long will it take for them to do the forensics on it?

I would think that if there were something on a computer they would have taken it with them, especially if it was a laptop.

Kind of O/T but (or not, I dunno)...something interesting I learned from watching the testimony of a cadaver dog handler is that, they don't smell for dead bodies, they smell for decomposition. So if someone cut their finger, bled on the ground, and that blood decomposed, the dog would hit on it. Even though the person went on to live a long and happy life. (my phrasing, not the canine officers. ;) )
