Learn Something New Every Day

dear angry wolf,
i understand it hurts you for us to speak of pr in a negative manner. there is a thread here that just discusses her life and nothing negative is said. i think you'd be happier up at that top thread. I do have a question-you presumed some evidence cleared her? what evidence cleared her completely without a shadow of a doubt? maybe i'll learn something.
regards,
ellen
Dear Angry Wolf,

I don't hate Patsy at all. But I feel she did this crime. I think it was an accident and a cover up. I don't believe it was a sex crime. I think it was an accident and I think she was slammed against something such as the bath tub. Sounds like a strange accident, but I do not think it was intentional. I believe it was rage.

In fact I saw some footage of Patsy the other day and I felt nothing but sympathy for her; it was of her running across the street with John. I think she had an awful life after this - maybe once in a while some good moments, but basically I don't believe her life was good after this.

But I believe she did this crime. And for what it is worth, I don't think I hear bashing of Patsy here (maybe occasionally) but for the most part, I think the posters are stating what they feel is the truth. They believe what they are saying. In all honesty, if you want everyone to agree with you, this is not the place to go. But I do not hate her by any means. In fact I feel sorry for the whole family. But truth is truth. Thank you. Solace

Yes Fleet did also pick up the duct tape and he left it on the blanket. I will find the source re the blanket but I don't have it with me today. It has to be in PM/PT or the Steve Thomas book.
It's in Schiller's book, which I don't own a copy of yet (yay for public libraries). I believe LHP said that blanket should have been on JonBenet's bed under the comforter and the only time it wasn't was when it was being laundered.

Well, if it was an accident and Patsy or John were responsible for a cover-up, then I believe they have paid their penance. What do you think would have happened if they didn't cover it up? More of the same - high media coverage and public humiliation. That got that anyways. Anything to keep this going is just pure evil, malignent gossip. Karma - what comes around goes around - time to be silent and reflect on your own actions.

I prefer to let this poor woman's soul rest in peace now. I myself have recurrent breast cancer and try with all of my might to keep stress out of my life. It is very difficult. I'm sure this hastened Patsy's death. I know stress will hasten mine. I have been fighting for 4 years now. Patsy fought for 13 - I'm happy that she got that many more years - but the last 10 were pure hell for her.

God rest her soul. She is with her daughter now. May they rest in peace.

That is Patsy Ramsey in the picture, not me.

I know for a fact that if it were I in the picture, I wouldn't be smiling for starters. I wouldn't be posing. I wouldn't have tipped the press off that I would be there smiling and posing.

I reckon that I'm just pretty different that way.

As I mentioned in my previous post, this is an area of the law that many have a difficult time wrapping their head around, so hopefully, I'm explaining it well.

Very well, IMHO. Thanks.

I think it's a grief-stricken pose. Tough to pull off on cue.

I agree... I'm not saying she's guilty or not for I really don't know, but that picture speaks volumes to me and she looks like she is FAKING her grief.. POSING for the camera.. :twocents:

By Dec?? I had roots from being inside during the cold months.
Imo the autopsy picture from the back of JB's head shows pretty clearly that her hair was colored blond. JB's hair also appeared to be very thin, probably from all that frequent coloring.

No, I was not referring to that pictue. I KNOW THAT IS PATSY. This was of a man in a car. Probably someone somebody likes.

Close Enough posted the picture not River Rat.

I very much agree with you. Crying and smiling both make the lips turn upward. I guess folks will see what they want in a photograph.

That looks like the phoniest grief I've ever seen. Look at the drama written all over her face, it says, "Poor Me!". Kinda like when Susan Smith went on national TV and lied about the false abduction of her kids, her phony tears were immediately apparent to me by her facial expression. It screamed, LIAR, LIAR, LIAR.:liar: :liar: :liar:

I've seen tabloid pictures of JB when she was younger, and she was brunette in those photos, also look at her eyebrows, I doubt they were dyed.

As a former speech pathologist, I disagree that your lips turn upward when people cry, the natural inclination is downward, like a frown.

I've seen it either way - no degree required! ;)

just curious...what reason would there be to "section off" JBR's hair, after she's dead?

close_enough,

Possibly to change her appearance either as part of the post homicide staging, or to coverup something.

Its not simply that its sectioned off but that its done in an inconsistent manner.

Now you can offer many reasons for this, e.g. panic, moving fast, but my current favorite is ignorance.

Imagine JonBenet lying on her side dead, with her hands raised, someone has decided to either redress her or at least restyle her hair.

It would be interesting to know just how JonBenet's hair was done for the White's party, since from that we could infer a motive for the sectioning.

I'll speculate that the same person who redressed her in her size-12 underwear, also restyled/sectioned her hair as there were hair-ties strewn on either JonBenet's bedroom or bathroom floor.

Since there may have been more than one staging episode, personally I think there were three.

But it might help conceptually to think of her as being dressed up in the first staging, and dressed down in the 3rd staging, since in the 3rd staging she was to be redressed in the barbie-gown. The 2nd staging is opaque, but possibly it encompassed her assault with the paintbrush and the addition of the ligature.

I'm assuming its all not an R doing silly things so it cannot be attributed to them?

Imo it is not that easy. This was only an 'accident' insofar as Patsy (I think it was her) did not mean to kill JonBenet, but the head blow to JB's head was certainly not delivered accidentally, but with full intention by someone being in an uncontrollable rage. And then the perp staged a scene because she wanted to save her sorry hide. Not someone else's hide.
For imo the only person Patsy Ramsey would ever have covered up for is herself. If Burke had delivered that blow, I'm convinced John and Patsy would have taken JB to the hospital, claiming that it was an accident. And if John had killed JB, I'm convinced that Patsy would have "chopped his block off", as she told Haney in the 1998 interview. This was one of the few times I believed what she said.
Be it manslaughter, second degree murder or whatever, the victim deserves justice, and justice has not been served in this case.
Where are we coming to if we say, ok the perp has suffered enough, her cancer has even returned, nothing will bring back the victim anyway, and couldn't we just leave it at that? If we think like that, then JB would indeed be no more than a broken doll which had been put in that basement because it could not be repaired anymore.
I suppose there are quite a few perps who suffer from cancer but who still are charged with the crimes they committed, and rightly so.
If they are very ill, they may not have to serve a prison sentence but have to go to hospital instead, but still these people usually will be charged, and Patsy should have been no exception.
And if like you said, stress hastened Patsy's death, this kind of stress would not have been there if she hadn't killed her daughter. Now that Patsy is dead, nothing should be swept under the carpet any longer. For would having to live with a lie really be better for Burke? I doubt it. When I read about OJ Simpson's daughter, I doubt that having to live with her father's lies has done her any good.

This is not a time to be silent. It is a time to once more openly demand justice for JonBenet. For she is the true victim in this case, and justice has not been served so far.
We don't know if Patsy is with JonBenet. Would JonBenet really want to be together with the person who killed her, I ask myself.

Elliemae, so sorry to hear what you are going through. I have lost family members to cancer too, and I wish you so much strength and support in your fight against this disease. And every day, anyone of us can be diagnosed with it too. There is just no real safety in life. You are in my prayers, and right now I'm thinking of all the people (and also animals) who are suffering.
And I would also wish for Patsy, wherever she may be now, to heal from the ugliness of her own spirit.
