Not to be snarky but the house was considered a crime scene that's why crime tape was all around it and the police were there searching it inside and out.

The tape is down now from what I saw.

He seemed to be enjoying himself high-fiving and smiling with Casey at the court house. I haven't seen any grief from Lee, just anger at anyone who doesn't buy into their lies. I'd rather see him confront cameras now and say if this Caylee, I want the murderer caught and the harshest sentence known to man imposed on that person.

What I think is premature is being huddled up with a bunch of lawyers while your granddaughter/niece's body is being autopsied.

:clap: oh...you got that so right.

I am slapping myself to stop from commenting on all posts that suggest cutting slack to this family. They are not grieving...NONE of them. Caylee is alive, remember.
As for Lee...I faintly smile knowing his 'day' is coming sooner than he wants. That is where his anger is coming from.
All is my opinion only.

As much as I am not a fan of the A's...any of 'em...I would leave them alone for now...I can't even begin to imagine what is going on in thier lives at the present time, no matter the situation(s)...

Im trying to decide if it is sympathy I have (although it is very tiny) or if I'm just plain mad at them...

Wow, that post didn't make any sense but I am leaving it.

it made sense to me and i agree.

True , so its possible that some people when there under the guise of bringing flowers in tribute to caylee, in order to get a first hand look at all the LE +FBI action going on.
(Not saying thats what happened, just a possibility)

IMHO...I can care less if he's the incestual father or any of that stuff.

I have always thought he is "collateral damage" in the wake of hurricane KC.

I do think he's done some very questionable things, his "code talkers" visit, the high-five, the email he sent...refusal to take lie detector and resistance to DNA...that casts some suspicion on him from myself at least.

That being said, I think the anger being exhibited today is not much more than relative to his stage of coping.

Perhaps it would be better if memorials were placed by the side of the road where she was found. He's a bit too "raw" right now and even tho it may not be meant in that way, he interprets it as " in your face-told you so".

Then, if he tried to tamper with them like GA did at the park, he would get his smug little butt kicked....

My opinion, Lee took away the memorial because he knows the public put it there, and he and his entire family blame the public and media for Caylees death, instead of blaming Casey. Watch, they will say Zani did it, the media caused it from all the attenteon, and they will say LE didnt help them find her till it was too late.
And then people wonder why we dont always pity them?

If they are so hurt and confused that they blame the public for Caylee's death, that is all the more reason to feel pity for them, IMO.

I agree, it's horrible. I can totally understand Lee's anger. The public has attacked and criticized this family for months. While I understand that the memorial was meant as a sympathetic gesture, I'm sure it doesn't feel that way to the Anthonys. I wish people would just leave them alone and, even more, I wish the media would back off. It's unbelievable what these people have been put through for our entertainment.
I was going to let this go until you said "for our entertainment". I haven't been here for days, weeks, and months on end for "entertainment" from the A fam. I did not ask them to entertain me in any way. I would have preferred it if they had stayed away from the media and our eyesight actually. :furious: I hope they will follow the advice of a decent attorney (providing they now have found one) and stay out of the public view entirely.

This family has been attacked and criticized because of their OWN words and actions. Actions just like what Lee did today. They appreciate nothing or no one...no matter what people's intentions are.

I have been here to find Caylee and to bring her justice. PERIOD!

In my opinion, I think that's a bit of a stretch. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Period. It can actually be that simple. Call it a quirk, but some people actually get upset of recent tragic news. I think this guy deserves a break.

Jiminy Christmas..this guy has been bad mouthed and accused of being the incestuous father of his dead niece. he has been harrassed, harrangued and everything else.
He probably doesn't want anything from anyone and is in a lot of grief. He probably sees the cross and flowers as a "we told you so"..because let's face it the people that left them have most likely been his detractors for some time now.
Look, I don't hold ol' Lee in high regard and I think the memorial was probably well intentioned, maybe not, don't know.

But is it really that hard to understand where this dude is coming from?

ITA. It's not fair to expect anything resembling rational behavior from anyone in the family for quite some time. They are in the throes of grief we can't even begin to comprehend. We are gauging their love for Caylee by their recent behavior. We have forgotten that that behavior--even before the discovery of remains--was fueled by horrible, horrible grief and fear.

And I am sure that's been hugely magnified by Thursday's discovery.

One way of dealing with uncontrollable grief is to control the things we're able to control. One thing Lee can control is clutter in his parents' front yard.

People cope in different ways.

I expect Cindy and George to emerge from this latest "set back" and still support some story that has Casey painted as a victim. But it will be interesting to see if Lee buys into it or not. It seemed to me he was no longer buying into the nonsense being spread...which is why we haven't seen him for a while. It is possible he may be at the Anthony house solely to support his parents at this difficult time...not to support Casey.

It was on the national one--they were more or less promoting GR interview this evening with the a's atty.....

HAVE A QUESTION: GR was implying that the a's are meeting with all the defense peeps.....isn't that something that could waive the atty/client thing with kc.Qu...????

Not necesarily. The privilege in this case is KC's. it is not unreasonable for her attorney to brief family members on the evidence, on the planned defense, and on general issues. It is discussing his direct conversations with KC that carried the privilege. As long as his client approves of teh conversations there is nothing out of line there, and nothing that the prosecution would go after. The key is he is discussing the case with the family while KC is not present.

Now if the parents were in the room with JB and KC while he was questioning her, then privilege would be compromised.

I guess LA is never going to accept the Caylee is dead.

I don't think the Anthony family will EVER believe their daughter is responsible for Caylee's death. What they don't understand is that,by defending their daughter, they are never going to be able to have closure.I'm sure Cindy will be on meds for the rest of her life(possible institutionalized, but definitely suicidal) George,I'm sure, will end up leaving Cindy and Lee....we'll I'm thinking his chances of having a "normal" relationship will be over.I mean, really, who wants to be with someone who is in constant denial? Not to mention, his serious anger problem.(as shown on the news today with this incident)

JMO.

I don't think they're in denial, I think they've know for a long time KC is responsible for this and they're just trying to save her sorry arse from a life in prison or the DP.

I was really hoping that people wouldn't send anything to that house or those people.

There are so many children all over this country who aren't even going to have a home let alone gifts for the Holdiays. I personally would rather see people donate to charities in Caylee's name instead of spending money on flowers and memorials that won't be appreciated by her family and at least that money could be put to good use.

I was hoping the same. I live in a small mountain community that is so depressed financially..I would love to see some of that stuff for some of the poor children here whose families are really desperate this year.

  • #114
Amen to that. I think those people need to back away.
The reality is memorials are for the living. They can place a memorial anywhere they like, but they have to go do it at the family home that is shrouded in controversy.
Sorry, i don;t think any of this is about honring Caylee as much as it is dishonoring the whole Anthony clan. It may very well be deserved at the end of the day, but her poor little body hasn't even been Id'ed yet.
Someone that wants to do something and is well intentioned would probably go find a nice accessible neutral ground where people can mourn and be together and leave flowers. Many of those people don;t think the Anthony family gives a hoot anyway, so why waste time leaving flowers there? IMO, it's because there is a live camera feed.

Don't worry guys I am starting to come down from my Wheaties.

Great idea!

I can't really comment on Lee's actions. I can't wrap my mind around any of that family's actions or thought processes, so I'll just leave it alone.

The Anthony's have stated all along that they believe Caylee is alive and will not stop looking for her until they have proof that she is not alive.

Why doesn't anyone listen to or respect the grandparent's wishes? I say leave them alone. They would only be hurt and defensive to premature condolences.

Ya know- stranger things have happened- copycat murders or even traveling out of state to dispose of remains. No one here is 100% positive that the body is Caylee. Sure, sure, sure, it all fits and is very likely and all that. But what happened to patience and respect?

Any true memorial would respect the grandparents who fed and clothed and loved that baby.

When my sister died, they put in the paper about a donation to the cancer society in lieu of flowers. If her classmates bought a big bouquet and put it on my parents lawn, it would be viewed as hostile and rude- not at all a sign of respect.

We need to be patient and leave the family alone. If this is Caylee, there likely will be some type of published notice about where to send donations.
If no one wants to send donations to the family named charity, then flowers, if accepted, at the funeral home or grave site would be appropriate.

I don't know Lee, but my guess is he was just acting as an agent for his parents. I can only guess how many condolences have been expressed to them all along and how it has hurt them. Why does anyone get to say that "this time" the speculation is correct and their memorial must be displayed?

Sorry for the long post, but this has me heated.

wow! I was kinda sorta hoping the next thing we'd hear from this family would be an apology, for making accusations against LE and everyone else and for insulting and assaulting our senses over and over again.

Guess not. I'd say LA's actions are a sign of things to come. I'm so over them. So. Over. Them.

  • #118
Oh go ahead and be snarky....LOL. But even though the house may very well be the crime scene, there needs to be some discretion as to where memorials are placed. I think eventually the area where the body was found might be more appropriate...though I honestly hate to think of all those elementary school kids going to school every day and passing by a memorial for a dead child! That seems alot for them to deal with.

Well, I don't want Caylee memorials placed where she was so viciously dumped. No, by the school is not a good place either. The A's don't give a chit. That was Caylee's home, that is where Caylee was loved or so I once thought I'm begining to wonder, I don't know. This poor child has no place to call her own. So very very sad.

I am sure he has known for a long time she was dead.

Now THIS is a beautiful, selfless honoring action. makes perfect sense and what a grand way to honor what is most likely little Caylee .
