How was he deceived? He admitted that he would not have become involved if he'd known all the facts - the very same facts we here knew when he did get involved. The man didn't do his research. Besides, did he really expect that Casey would talk to him when she wouldn't talk to anyone else, and did he expect that her attorney would allow her to? Beats me how people keep saying he's so smart. He's certainly hiding it well.

He was deceived by whomever asked him to enter this case. He said in the beginning he was told he would have access to KC, (another lie by JB or KC??)
and maybe he is guilty of not doing his research, but the first document dump came after his arrival. I think alot of people got an eye opening after that. And the last time I checked the only people charged with any wrongdoing in this case was KC. I did not see LP's name anywhere so I don't understand this treatment of him in this thread.

Boggs was supposed to be released more than a year ago but the state says they've been unable to find property owners willing to allow Boggs to live on their land. Now local bounty hunter Leonard Padilla has offered to let Boggs live in a trailer on a 60-acre parcel along the west side of Interstate 5 in Natomas. But the land is adjacent to a gated community and residents there say the idea makes them uneasy.
Boggs' attorney says he's been treated and isn't a danger to the public.

You can say anything you'd like. You can think anything you'd like. It's a free country. That doesn't mean LP gave a dime to EquuSearch. Call me a skeptic, but I like a bit more than, "I think," before I form my opinions.

I don't know who gave money to Equusearch, nor does anyone else know who did or who didn't give money to Equusearch.

You said that he did not insert himself into this case and yet you agree that it was his choice to get involved. Whether by invitation or not, I feel he most certainly did insert himself into the case and furthermore, I believe he did it for himself and the media attention he knew it would bring him. He shared any little tidbits of information he got directly from the Anthonys weeks ago. There is no reason for him to be involved any longer - other than his desire for media attention.

LP let the guy stay in his office building. The guy had an ankle monitor, a guard at the door, and the building is full of attorneys and bail bondsmen. He was actually more secure than KC. LP said he did it "because no one else would".

LP is a bounty hunter with a heart!

I'll not be eating any crow, and from those who find LP's statements as vile as I do, I don't see any of them denying that there could be a possibility. I'm sorry, I wasn't there when Casey got pregnant, so, I really don't have a clue who the father is. I just don't think LP should be stating this on the national airways EVEN if it is true.

If LP was doing this to me. I would give him all the rope he needed. I would shut my mouth and allow him to use the rope to hang himself. All the while, I would be collecting every word he had to say on the subject. I would then file a lawsuit against him if it were untrue. The more he says, the stronger the case LA may one day have against him. Then, I would put it in a jury's hands. Get on the stand and say, I cannot even walk into a grocery store anymore. I can't even stop and pump my own case without someone snickering behind my back.

Then, LP can kiss his $$$$ Goodbye. This is assuming of course that it's untrue.

If it is true, then what is LP's real motive here? Is he that mad that he wasn't allowed to speak with Casey? He shoulda known Baez would have never allowed that. I'm not a bounty hunter, but I could have told LP that WAY before he ever left for Florida. So could all of the other posters on this board. So, how bright does that really make him?

While I usually smile when someone talks about LP, I think he is silly and a media hog, as I have said in post on another thread- this news item really upsets me. My husband spent a good many years investigating child molesters and putting a whole lot of them behind bars and I personally don't believe a pedophile is EVER rehabilitated to the point where they would not be a danger to the public. So I don't think I am going to smile and call LP silly anymore, I am going to shake my head sadly that a man, who is supposedly intelligent, could EVER offer assistance to a someone who harmed a child.

You are mistaken and I will dispute it. He did NOT insert himself into this case. He was asked to join by another party who still has remained unnamed. (They have only said it was not Geraldo.)

What does one have to do with the other? Casey is making up stories to cover for a murder that she likely committed. What is LP's excuse?

Gotta agree with you 100%. always thought LP was charming in a back county kinda way, but if this is true I'm over it. And hats off to your hubby for the work hes done!!!!!

BEing a pedophile does not necessarily mean harming a child. He could have been a kiddie guy or raped a 16 year old. Both would still give him the title of pedophile. I would want more information about the case before passing judgment on what LP is doing. 60 acres is a large piece of land. If the trailer is adjacent to the communityu and near a park or school, I could see the problem. I believe in CA, a convicted pedophile cannot live within 1000 yards of a school or gathering place of children.

Like LP or not like him, you cannot deny that he has had far more access to this family than any of us have EVER had. He has actually talked to some of the principals in this case. That provides him with some insights that we will never have. He has interacted with LE and with TM. He has shown himself as someone who is willing to change his opinion based on evidence provided.

I am not a big fan of his, but he has as much right to his opinions as do anyone else. The only people who have to think of Casey as "innocent until proven guilty" are the jurors during her trial. We are free to speculate all we want to. As is LP.

And fortunately for us, our speculating probably won't (though it's not impossible) toss us into a civil suit.

LP's using the national airways, so he does need to watch what he's saying.

Boggs, 52, was ordered released two weeks ago by a Sacramento County Superior Court judge. Boggs has convictions for molesting two 9-year-old Sacramento-area boys in the 1980s.
