You would think JB's main defence strategy at the moment would be to ensure that the Child Neglect case goes forward, all set up to prevent a future murder charge. I don't see how his sarcastic reply forwards that cause, but then this is only his third year practising law, isn't it? On the other hand, maybe it's all part of his delaying tactics to keep KC from providing any sensible information about the whereabouts of Caylee. Or it could be that he's just plain rude???

I think he is still mad about the second arrest. He told them what he wanted done and they did not do it. Funny how he thought he was the ringmaster. He does not want her talking to LE at all. If he did, she would have already. So, he graduated from somewhere that I forget, like the Keebler law school or something.

I am wondering what is relationship with LE has been in past cases. Anyone in Orlando know? He's only been practicing for, what about 3 years, so he's got a lot of years ahead of him as an attorney, where he needs to have a halfway decent relationship with LE for longterm purposes. So, why all the cutting remarks, it seems quite unprofessional, and counter-productive, at the very least.

JB has been cocky, arrogant, and unprofessional since day one. All of his statements to the media have been a series of finger pointing, belittling, and making KC out to be a victum. No one should be suprised that he is more than not cooperating with LE. He thinks he is a big shot now because he is representing the most hated and despised mother on the planet. However, if he continues to be so crude and arrogant I fear it will bite him in the behind. He is unexperienced and immature, and the more serious this gets the more obvious that will be to everyone involved.

Personally I dont worry about him because he is only making it worse for KC and proving that Caylee is better off in heaven than she is down here. I just really dont think anyone should be shocked by his representation, if you dont know how to be a lawyer on a high profile case, you point fingers and be "snarky" to avoid answering the questions. JMO

I wasn't aware that he has been hired to do anything but defend her in a neglect case. Seems he is forgetting that. AHe is anticipating a murder charge and idstead of working on the case he WAS hired for, he's spending his time on a case in which she hasn't even been charged. I sure wouldn't want him defending me on this case.

He, apparently can't even file a motion correctly. Six hours a day-I don't think so.

Why hasn't Casey offered this up without a request?

Does he think he'll get a truthful response from Casey?

Casey just doesn't care. Her text message to tonyL, if they never find her guess who spends an eternity in jail?

She knows this, so why not just up the ante and tell what really happened, Casey knows she's got big jail time coming. Why not make it easier on all involved and give up Caylee.

About the Baez letter...I am not a lawyer but if I sent a letter to a customer of my company with that tenor I'd be canned in a New York minute. Totally unprofessional.

Totally -- the prosecution will use her uncooperative-ness to show her lack of wanting to find her missing daughter . . . after misplacing her 30-days prior.

Very unprofessional letter by Baez -- crosses the line and should be provided to the ABA!!! I would NEVER hire him for anything -- even a traffic ticket!

I think that Baez knows this is a no win case, but sees this case as a way for him to earn a lot of money. While George and Cindy's attorney have said they have not negotiated a deal to sell Caseys story, Baez has not issued a similar statement. I believe that Baez is lining up movie and book deals and that he has arranged for Casey to pay him out of money he gets on her behalf. She cannot profit if convicted, but she has not been convicted yet. He may be getting advances. He may believe that he will earn millions from representing and not care if it is a losing case. He is probably billing her by the hour for all the hours she spends in his office and for the body guards he supplies her with when she goes to and from jail.

I am starting to question everything that Baez is doing. He is not qualified to take on a case of this magnitude. He demeanor the past few weeks wih the smirks and remarks really has to stop. This is a serious case not a circus. He is only in it for publicity and money. It is sad.

I agree with you who is to blame for losing Caylee. It certainly is not the police or public. It is KC. We are willing to search and help out only if we get some leads on where to look. Geez Baez needs to go back to law school as some people commented in the news.

WHat I really like is when Cindy comes out and keeps saying "WHy aren't Y"ALL (referring to the protestors and public) out looking for my grandchild?" HUH ?? WHAT?? Why doesn;t she make her daughter tell her where her grandchild is? Cindy has said herself that while Casey has OFTEN lied to Cindy , Casey has always told her the truth eventually. SO why can;t Cindy stop coddling her and sit her down and MAKE her tell them where Caylee is. Cindy is the ONLY person that Casey seems to FEAR.

When did it become the world's responsibility to find this child, when we can;t get a STRAIGHT answer or lead from Casey? Casey would have everyone waste time, money and resources sending searchers on a wild goose chase INSTEAD oftelling the truth just ONCE in her life about what really happened. How can she expect LE or the public to really beleive that their searching is not all in vain, if she won;t give them a truthful answer. Also why has George, Cindy, Casey nor Lee been out with the searchers looking? All they have been doing is criticizing, making money deals and going on the defensive about everything that is said. If that was MY child or my grandchild, trust me I would be out there in the woods, heat, bugs, swamps WHEREVER I had to go to look for that child. I would not sit back and EXPECT that the public do this for me. Sorry had to get that off my chest. LOL'

I dont think she would. and if he insisted she'd get a new attorney I believe. (I am sure he isnt the only vulture wanting his 15 min)

...I am trying not to dislike him personally. I dont like lawyers in general- but someone has to do that job, and they pretty much need to be that way to get it done.

I have not really dealt with lawyers all that much until recently my son was charge with theft from his past employer (he quit before charges were ever filed), but i retained a very well known repectable lawyer. first off the initial visit was about 1 hour. after that we have not met at his office we receive a letter with the court dates and we meet like 15 mins prior to court. However he meets with the prosecutor at least 2 times a month kinda kissing butt so to speak, he said the last thing u want to do is piss them off. Also he wanted his trial postponed until after the election due to politics so thats what he has done so we are set for trial Jan 2, of 09

OMG! Just read JB's letter. WTH is that at the top of his letterhead, the Family Crest?

He sure is full of himself.

Wonder if the family is happy with his representation of Casey.
