Yeah, well, don't we all remember that kind of mother from when our children were young? Always blaming whatever their kid did wrong on another kid?

Again, it sounds like the mother also needs professional help.
Yes, they're the same type of parents that argue with teachers over their kids' bad grades and coaches over not playing their kid more. :hand:

What bothers me is the way that Dina blames Lindsay's friends. Maybe Lindsay's a bad influence on them???
Lindsay's mother is unbelievable. She publically blames everyone else for her daughter's problems. You know....it's the "media". Yeah, the "media" made Lindsay drink & party like crazy. The "media" made Lindsay go clubbing hours after being released from the hospital for an apendectomy. The "media" forced Lindsay to hang around "bad influences" like Paris Hilton. (And by the way.....wasn't Dina out partying with all them too??)

Dina Lohan needs to help Lindsay accept responsiblity for her own out-of-control actions. Her daughter - as young as she is - is still a grown-up. Yet she is clearly acting like a spoiled teenager. Instead of blaming everyone else Lindsay will have to learn to take responsibility if she wants to get better.

The last thing I'm going to say is that about 10 years ago I suffered from a medical problem and subsequently became addicted to narcotic painkillers. I ended up in a rehabilitation facility. Let me tell you firsthand that it was the MOST DIFFICULT thing I ever went through. Rehab is very tough. Also, the statistics for relapse are staggering. For Dina Lohan to so blithely state that Lindsay is doing "so great" is ridiculous. No one who is truly working their rehab is doing "great". It is tough, it is painful, and it is emotionally and physically draining. After a while, you'll turn a corner. But it is only through really working the program and maturing and finding some really good people (sponsers or otherwise) to lean on does this start to happen. For Dina and Lindsay's reps to be acting all light about this is insane. For Lindsay to be out shopping at DIOR and out to lunch, etc. during her rehabilitation is truly unbelievable. Anyone who really knows anything about the rehabilitation of a drug or alcohol addict would certainly understand that these actions surrounding Lindsay's rehab are really reckless. Frankly, I'm shocked that a rehab facility would allow all this nonsense - but I guess there are facilities out there who want to cater to the rich, spoiled brats who are used to getting their way. Sad.

Lindsay Lohan Moves Into Marilyn Monroe's Former Home

Troubled star Lindsay Lohan has purchased the Los Angeles apartment that movie legend Marilyn Monroe once called home.

The actress said, "I wanted to do what Marilyn Monroe did (during the Korean War), when she went and just set up a stage and did a concert for the troops all by herself.

"It's so amazing seeing that one woman just going somewhere, this beautiful sex kitten, who's basically a pinup, which is what I've always aspired to be."

WTF?

Hello Angelmom,:)
It is very nice to see you.
I found this article on the net;
link

I did not know if it is true, but this is what is in the article also;
Details, that were not known to most of the yellow press lovers. For example, that Anna Nicole tried to "check out" many years ago, 13, to be exact. While she was staying in Marilyn Monroe's Spanish Hacienda in Brentwood. I visited Marilyn's home in 1996, thirty four years after Marilyn's successful suicide and three years after Anna Nicole's suicide attempt.

This is also from the site;
She still has many many admirers. Anna Nicole Smith was also one of those admirers. She would watch Monroe's movies and start to walk and talk and act like Marilyn in private. She was not alone. Even today, on the tragic day of Anna Nicole's death, I received two Google alerts, that talk about two Marilyn want to be's: Lindsay Lohan, who just purchased an apartment in which Marilyn lived at some point (she moved around in Los Angeles, like a Normad), and Jessica Simpson, who explained the (new) color of her hair: "Norma Jeane red." Aha. Now we know. Lohan was said to have taken a "break" of her rehab program, and "partied all weekend at a club in Hollywood." Strange rehab, I admit. But: they are still so young....and they still will be able to get their addictions under control! Really? Will they? Life and time will tell, indeed. But what is the fascination of all these starlets and singers, like Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera and numerous other?!

Respectfully,

I read in The Newcastle Herald today that her mother said she is doing very well, and is in a happy place at the moment, lets hope she stays there and doesnt fall back into her bad habits. Keep it up Lindsay.

Guess what, y'all? Lindsey's not an addict according to her mother:

"Noooo! [Lindsay is not an alcoholic.] She is just a 20-year-old who had to reel it in. And she's from an addictive personality genetically. And in that world, they give you things like candy. Hurt your ankle? 'Let's give her something.' "
- Dina Lohan tells the new issue of Harper's Bazaar

I guess that's why she went straight from rehab back to the clubs!

Very interesting and telling article, IMO. My favorite was when she discussed lying to people about her true identity and how she often claims to be Lindsay's sister. :loser: She also claims to have told George Clooney she was Lindsay's personal assistant. Between Lindsay's mom and dad, it really is not surprising she has all of these problems. Yikes.

I haven't read the entire article - is it online? Everytime Dinah Lohan opens her mouth, my opinion of her drops lower and lower. Lindsay isn't even drinking age, and yet at the age of 20, she's gotten loaded so much she had to go to rehab and "reel it in."

I fear that if Dinah doesn't wise up and get sober herself, she might one day be giving interviews about how her talented oldest daughter's life was cut tragically short.

Don't get me wrong - I was a wild child at 20 and in no way, shape or form ready to renounce my unhealthy substance abuse at that age. BUT, I expect parents to be smarter than their children.

Is there a link or is it only available by buying the mag?
