Initially, LE let Lisa out of jail - nowhere to go, no money for food, nothing. She was helped by caring people who just couldn't stand the thought of this happening to anybody. We have many here who are caring about taking in animals just because they were dumped. Lisa was not involved with whatever happened to Haleigh. Yes, she is the Mother of Misty and Tommy, but as many here have said, they also have children who have made mistakes. We don't know yet just how bad the mistakes were that her children may have made. I don't know who paid her bail or just exactly what her violation was, but after reading the scanner thread, I don't believe she is the biggest threat going in PC. Just my opinion.

I'm a pet rescuer and would certainly take in any animal that needs my help; however, when it comes to an adult who is more than capable of providing for themselves and choosing to continue a lifestyle that is wrought with nothing but criminal activity, then I have no sympathy for them. It's not LE's place to follow Lisa Croslin around to make sure she stays out of trouble. They aren't responsible for her actions, she is. I don't think Lisa Croslin has anything at all to do with Haleigh's disappearance so I would feel exactly the same way about any other adult who continually decides to partake in criminal activity, I don't care if it is jaywalking. She is on probation so she has to follow the conditions of her probation in addition to following the laws of the state of Florida. If Lisa Croslin is purchasing drugs, then that's against the law. If she doesn't show up at her probation office for her monthly visit, then she is in violation of her probation and that's against the law. JMHO.

I don't agree with just automatically blaming the parents when kids turn out bad, but Flora told everyone what the Croslin kids had to grow up with. I'd never send money to someone who harmed their family and stole with their son last year. Misty was still a kid when they all got into the news and it's most likely that the family problems and issues are at the core of what happened to Haleigh. People on drugs usually have all sorts of friends and drug buddies, so with all the relatives, buddies, and agencies there is surely someone who could have briefly helped without bloggers taking up funds for her. Less chances of scams and others pocketing some money, too.

this IS rock bottom, & getting lower, by the hour. Not everybody who hits rock bottom, has an epiphany & says, 'This is it. Now I'm ready to clean up.' That's why there are so many OD's & suicides, & junkies getting murdered or run over by cars, or whatever...when somebody has been an addict for a long time, it's not just a physical disease, but also a mental one. She doesn't know herself as anything but a junkie, & can't even imagine herself any differently. She's scared to change, because who would she be? Would she so different that she wouldn't recognize herself? Drugs are familiar & change is scary. Somebody like that can't be expected to clean up without help. A professional to help convince her that she can succeed.
You stated that beautifully, Dodie, and so did Em when she said you can't put all addicts under the same blanket. Besides her addiction, she has a son and daughter facing many years in prison and possible murder charges, to boot. Not only is that painful beyond belief, it reflects back to her as a mother and as a person. Whatever shred of integrity she might've had prior to their arrests has been obliterated. At this point, she can see no light at the end of the tunnel or even believe that it exists. I agree wholeheartedly with you, Dodie. Lisa needs serious, sustained help to put the pieces of her self back together again.

I just can't look at that woman, & be hard. She's sick. & being in jail, only does so much good, because they like to keep the inmates as doped up as legally possible, so they won't cause trouble. There's no rehab in any county jail that I ever heard of, but illegal drugs are readily available...sometimes smuggled in by the gaurds. My daughter's ex bf was sentenced to 3 months in county, & that detox cleaning up, we were hoping for, didn't happen. His cousin, who was required to 'check in' on weekends, smuggled in enough pills to keep both of them happy.

Respectfully bolded by me.

I agree. In fact, not everyone hits a bottom. For some the bottom is death, that's when they stop using.

Addiction IMHO is a physical disease, a mental disease and a spiritual disease.

I don't know Lisa, but I am not sure this is her bottom. JMHO.

I do have sympathy for addicts. I can't have empathy because the only thing I've been addicted to is cigarettes.

She has to want help before she can get help and all the mandated sobriety help in the world isn't going to work until she decides she wants to be clean. That is just how I see addiction from my stand point.

It's sad to watch someone struggle with addiction and not only see them flounder but see the path of devastation their life choices made while under the influence or under the grasp of addiction in the life's of their loved ones.

Makes me shake my head. Not in disgust but in sadness at such a wasted life.

All JMHO.
Sad for us to watch and excruciatingly painful for the addict to examine once his head clears of the drugs. Facing the hideous image in the mirror is what prevents many longtime addicts from staying clean. I think it's particularly challenging for Lisa because not only is her life in a shambles, her children have also self-destructed, and she bears the shame and a great deal of the responsibility for their predicament.

Can you please tell me how you can say these things? Where have you ever read that Lisa was a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, or was giving BJ's behind a dumpster? You should be ashamed of yourself. Lisa has been out of jail for a couple of weeks and was doing just fine, thank you!

Let's all take this woman out and STONE her. I can't, because I am also a sinner. Which one of you can pick up the first stone? Where I come from we are taught to help the poor, the downtrodden and also the addicts. I pray for Lisa, maybe she never had the advantages that others have had. As far as her being a good or bad mother, maybe she never had a role model. Lisa needs to be shown love and kindness, because she is still Jesus's child. I will continue to pray for Lisa and also the people who posted here.

This thread was supposed to be about Lisa's arrest and instead has become a thread about what is due her in life. :nono:

Let the woman do what she can to figure things out. We have no evidence that she knows what happened to Haleigh. So actually, we've had a LOT more freedom to discuss her than would be on any other case here at Websleuths. Enough is enough. Let's back off and see where she chooses to go at this fork in the road and hope and pray it is the better road this time.

For now, discussions about Lisa Croslin's choices in life will be put on hold.

Thank you!
