Airport screeners to get AMBER Alerts: Many abductors are non-custodial parents who try to get children out of their home neighborhood quickly and often use commercial airplanes, Allen said. "Time is the enemy in these cases," he said. Search efforts are typically focused in the child's home community.

The TSA effort is the first time AMBER Alerts will go directly to airports, Allen said.

Has anyone heard anything about the extended family - cousins etc? Any of them being checked out?

Normally I sit on the fence till my butt aches, but a couple of snips from interviews with DB gave me that gut feeling that she knows what happened to Lisa.

At this point I believe her grief is genuine, and she is blaming herself for this. It could just be natural mothers guilt for not being able to save her child from an abduction, or it could be because she really does know what happened.

The stray cat/kitten has been on my mind. This one might be a little out-there, but bare with me.......Just tossing some thoughts around.

If the kitten had been given to the family by some stranger who could possibly be a POI/ suspect, I could see the relevence in the family mentioning it....but to my knowledge, they just randomly came across the stray, right? (please correct me if I'm wrong)

So why would a stray kitten be so note/newsworthy in a possible abduction? :waitasec: Especially when we have a 'tampered with' window screen, an unlocked door, lights on, and phones stolen and a missing baby!!!

A google search of infants being smothered by cats would lead one to believe it's mostly myth, but I had a friend who's baby was smothered to death by a kitten.

I'm not a cat person myself, but even I couldn't understand her seething HATRED of cats until she opened up about the reasoning behind it.

Granted, my friends baby was a few months younger, but if Lisa had been given something to help her settle that night, then perhaps she wouldn't awaken to a soft furry creature snuggling up to her face. Cats/kittens are great at climbing and like another poster said , they are very unlikey to sleep when they can play. It could easily climb into the cot.

And if DB was intoxicated that night and found her daughter not breathing, I can see why she may not immediately call 911.

She may have thought that it looked like she was negligent parent because she had been drinking, or if she had given Lisa some adult cough syrup....which is why she may have chosen to go the 'kidnapping' route rather than calling for help.
It doesn't make it right or okay in any way, but alcohol can really change ones ability to think and behave rationally.

Question: Did JI know about the stray before leaving for work or not?

If he didn't, IMO it seems more likely that he would ask why there was some strange animal in their bed rather than asking why DB's 6 yr old son was in there....especially considering it was JI's first time of doing a nightshift.
It would seem logical to me that lights could be on for that reason, and for a child to sleep with mum because the man of the house was not there.

I would love the 2:30-ish am call/text to be clarified. If it was incoming , that's no biggie, but if it was outgoing that raises a huge red flag.

JMO.....pure speculation......just throwing out a theory I haven't yet seen posted.
feel free to ignore the crazy cat theory and carry on ......

I keep coming back to the fact that this was the fathers first overnight shift and it makes me wonder about JI's co-workers. Those co-workers would probably know about the baby and know that dad would not be home. Wonder if any of them have been looked at.

This is a little strange - but I'm posting it anyway. Last Monday night - Oct. 3 - I had a dream that I had a blonde (short) hair, blue eyed baby. I wondered how I got her since I have dark haired babies with muppet hair.

In the dream, the baby was sitting on my lap whilst I was driving down the street. The baby was about 10 months old. Then, we were at a yard sale on some random corner - and I couldn't find my baby. Some hispanic workers were building a red brick fence right behind me. One of them pointed out that my baby was on the ground under the table. I looked down and sure enough my baby was on the ground, but dried and shrunk some. I nursed the baby and it was restored to health. I got in my car and drove away, I pulled down the visor to look at my baby in the mirror, but the baby's face had changed. It now had the face of a man that looked like a young Keifer Sutherland (but with a normal/slender nose - not to be mean but... yeah) with a beard. The shock made me crash and the baby was gone again. I found parts of the car and stroller all around and up in a tree, but the baby was gone.

I woke up Tuesday and shared this bizarre dream with my family. Then, Wednesday I saw something about Lisa (possibly MSN) - and I told my family, "That's the baby from my dream!!!!" I'm telling you she looks IDENTICAL to the dream baby. It was very bizarre. I have no idea why I'm posting this, because it probably is nothing... but it was driving me crazy.

I've had some dreams come true before... I look at them as a gift from God... but it isn't something I could ever control. Anyway, just throwing that out there.

I have dreams like that all time...God gives you those dreams so that you will Pray..intercede for the person/persons you are dreaming about.

I am blending a few cases in my head and can't recount names, but I do recall a few babies missing from home, or cars, and the parents or parent were involved, one was just recently this pass year.
I think the baby was abducted. And that scares the crap out of me. I follow cases like this one, or really any missing child and I start to freak out. Yesterday I had to take my son and daughter for a wellness checkup then dropped my son off at school. Instead of watching him walk straight done to his classroom I went to the lunch room to put money in his account, well once I got back to my car I had to calm myself down, and trust that my son got to his classroom, he is only 6. And no as a parent you can not go down the halls unless signing in, which I did not do. Anyways back on subject. I think today is Lisa day to come home. I think that they need to start asking whoever has her to just drop her off.... Do something!!!!

This is a thought, not a theory. But the more I think about it, the disparity between Deborah and Jeremy's comments seems hugely significant.

Deborah: son was sleeping with her. Paraphrasing: "He (Jeremy) came in and asked 'why are all the lights on...why is the kid in bed with you, the window open, etc.' "

Jeremy: says he came in, entered the room and asked Deborah about the lights being on, etc., THEN WENT TO CHECK ON THE BOYS (when Lisa's room was right next door and the door open, which was "not normal, but he checked on the boys FIRST?"). BUT according to Deborah, one of the boys was in bed with her. So why is Jeremy checking on "boys" plural? And why check on Lisa LAST instead of in order of proximity to the parent's room, especially when the door was "unusually" open?

Their comments contradict each other. Hers says the younger boy was in bed with her; his says the "boys" were in their room. And Deborah NEVER mentions the boy coming into her room during the night. She just says they went to bed. That omission is significant IMO. She never says "at some point, I woke up when (don't know his name) got into bed with me." Instead, she says she "likes to sleep with her son" (in the awkward Judge Jeanine video). But this doesn't synch with putting the "boys" to bed and never mentioning one of them moving later. I just can't figure out how to reconcile this.

The only explanation is that when they went to bed, the younger one went directly into her bed, but she never said that, and Jeremy's statement about checking on "boys" plural contradicts this. Plus, there would seemingly be conflict at bedtime if one kid got to sleep in mom's bed and the other couldn't. I can't see her putting the kid into her own bed at the boy's bedtime.

Their stories don't reconcile. That's the point of my rambling here. And if their stories don't match, then what else are they hiding.

Lord, where is that baby??????

Sorry to be a P.I.T.A - but can someone tell me when the family moved into their home? Did they rent or own?

According to Dr G 100% of the time after an accident a parent will call 911.

This is JMO, MOO, only my own skepticism and possibly misunderstanding of this statement. No disrespect or offense is intended to anyone who disagrees with me based on Dr G's statements or on their own experiences.

My concern with this statement (as I have heard/seen it quoted and/or paraphrased, as I did not see the original footage of Dr G saying this, and I acknowledge that this might hinder my understanding) is that as a scientist it is very difficult to say with any certainty that something never happens. As I understand it, this statement is based in part or completely on self-report, and from my background in psychology I am very sensitive to the potential limitations of conclusions based on self-report. Stated another way - Dr G (again to my understanding) made this statement based upon a particular sample, and for that sample I believe it is true or she wouldn't say it in court! However, the sample is self-selected, right?

I am not disparaging Dr G's experience or anyone else's. All the places that I said "my understanding" or something similar, I could be wrong, and I am totally open to correction or clarification. To be completely blunt, I am looking at this statement purely as if it had come up in a scientific paper submitted for review and wondering how the conclusion can be made.

I found the tax assessors website so JI owns the home but did he really own it since 11/1/2002?

TIA

I think Dr. G's statement was specific to a drowning accident. She said that 100% of the cases of accidental drowing - 911 was called. That was my recollection....

I can't remember the word that was used to describe jeremy in reference to the custody of his son, was it ruthless? Wondering if doborah wanted out and she knew she could not win custody of lisa. I am still on the fence about the way lisa was dressed for bed and not put in her PJ's or something comfortable to sleep in. Are the item's bought for lisa the day she went missing still in the home?

I am sorry and did not realize that wasn't allowed. I am simply trying to come up with an explanation as to why the mother would be hiding something. I personally do not feel that children should be held responsibible in any traditional sense of the word if something did happen. It just baffles me that this woman, in my opinion, seems to be a loving mother and that child seemed to be well cared for, healthy and loved.

KANSAS CITY— The last interview that missing baby Lisa Irwin's parents gave last week was to FOX 4's Rob Low. Here is an extended version of that interview.

I found this news video very interesting - both in the way it's presented and also the segment where DB talks in general about missing children.

ok-so not much to go on-but since I don't really believe in alien abduction, I guess we'll stick with earthly theories. The little bit we do know tickle the hinky meter and makes me really want to rule out stranger abduction. So help me with that. Why would a stranger steal a baby?

Money?=What's the going rate for a caucasian baby in the U.S.? Whe was the last time a baby was kidnapped for ransom in the U.S.? How difficult is it to take a baby out of the U.S. to a more kidnapper friendly nation?

Sex?=Isn't she too young to be attractive to the average RSO? What are the stats on that?

To keep?=Well, she is cute...and it is pretty impossible to snatch one from the hospital anymore...and the crazy peeps that pull that stunt will go to any lengths...but IMO would not snatch cell phones or leave all the lights on---just seems really improbable

Ah...sorry! Is there a way to say what I want to say and not do that?? (Not being a smart aleck, just confused!)

I don't think this was a stranger abduction, but possibly not the parents, although they may have knowledge of what happened.

Hope that's better!

The stuttering and stammering and not finishing a complete thought just bugs me to death.
