I am the opposite - I previously felt JI was involved but now I am thinking he wasn't. I think he is overwhelmed and suspicious himself of DB, but has to go to bat for her in the media. I could easily change my mind about him though, still processing all the pieces to this puzzle.

I don't think he really knows what happened..... I think DB does though...

I suspect in a couple of days LE will ask her to come back down to the Police Station and answer some more questions.

This is going with the guy walking down the street at midnight holding the baby to his chest theory. When you bring a less-than-one-year-old baby to the airport.....does the airport make you show ID for the baby?

This is a great question. Anyone know?

2 minutes in DB talks about dumpster fire. Notice how she is looking away from the reporter for this answer, to the right, and also closes her eyes during the answer:

http://www.fox4kc.com/news/wdaf-add...-lisa-irwins-parents-20111011,0,5050853.story

Compare that with this brief video on how to use the eyes to determine if someone is lying:

http://youtu.be/E3PAW7zjgPw

Also, why doesn't she name who the family member is she spoke with?

ETA: ALSO, why would she know about this dumpster fire and not tell Jeremy???

Yes, shaking her head NO and looking down and to the right while answering. Everything is "I don't know" and "maybe" and I don't like those words.

So JI didn't know about the dumpster fire but DB did and didn't even think to mention it to him? They are supposedly trying to find thier baby, you would think they would follow up on anything and everything! If this last phone call is real and the dumpster fire happened at virtually the same time then that is a little more than coincidence. There are far to many firsts and coincidences in this case and it doesn't ring true to me.

I understand. I change my mind about this case constantly. I so wish these parents were all over the airwaves begging for their baby back. But they're not, and to me, that speaks volumes.

It Certainly does..... esp. about the Mother. I def. Think she knows where Lisa is.

That's what I've been saying......... IF (and I don't for one minute think it was) an Intruder the stars were aligned with him/her that night.

Re: "Do you have to show ID for a baby traveling by air?" has been thoroughly discussed somewhere on this Forum, and the consensus seems to be "No, you don't have to provide any ID." MOO.

I posted something about this yesterday. The airlines can request ID but I've flown about 6 times in the past 5 years with young children by myself. I've never been asked for their ID. I carry their birth certificates just in case but I've never been asked to show it.

We weren't leaving the country though. I think we would definitely need a passport if we were leaving the country.

As crazy as the idea of one of the parents selling the baby might sound...it WOULD help to explain why the cell phones had to be gotten rid of.

Just saying.

I know everyone gets tired of the "If it were me" posts but I just have to add one. If it were me and my 10 month old were missing, my husband would have to hold me up to even get on camera. I would be begging anyone and everyone to please help me. Not shaking my head saying "I don't know" and "maybe". I would be brutally honest with everyone about anything in my life because when a child is missing your life has to be an open book, no matter the skeleton's in your closet. I wouldn't care what came out that could ruin my reputation because if my child wasn't returned safe my life would be over anyhow.

Also, I would have family searching and I would be all over any tv station that would let me talk as often as I could and I would be holding my childs most recent picture in at least 8x10 size. Baby's look so similar at that age, you need to remind people of any differing characteristics and do it often! I would not be picking and choosing which station to give an interview with!

One mother that I remember seeing on TV was the little boy that was abducted by the mothers boyfriend and drove into the canal. Now that is REAL grief! This mother acts like "it happened but we don't know what happened or who did it" and then throwing up both hands. That's the impression I'm getting.

What's up with the Exclusive deal with ABC? did they offer the most money?

  • #251
If it were me, I'd have to be sedated...repeatedly...and I wouldn't play nice. I'd be a bad Mel Gibson, threatening the life of whomever had my child and swearing to haunt them in their nightmares until my baby came home....but that's just me and my bad panic reaction...

Not sure if it's true, but I'm guessing "the networks" paying for the PI include ABC. They probably promised big money for exclusive rights to photo's to fund her defense if she's arrested. (only slightly sarcastic)

With all of the lights on, a missing screen would stand out---filtered light from every other window--bright light from open window with no screen--and at 4am, I'd be livid to come home to a house lit up like the 4th of july on a school night. It would be a sure sign of something up.

It wasnt missing a screen, there was a bend in the corner of the screen frame which was still on the window, thats why I dont understand how he noticed it.

Ooooh! Missed that-thought it was gone-thanks for the correction!

The general public would probably think I was guilty because I automatically pop into manager mode during a crisis. As long as there was something I could be doing to find my kid, you'd probably see me barking orders, dialing a phone, organizing searchers, etc. What you wouldn't see is me crying (unless you had access to my bedroom late at night). That's just my personality. Everyone reacts differently in a crisis, so I try not to gauge people's reactions by my own. Of course, I still do to a degree. Human nature, I suppose.

IF that is the case - then that is suspicious to me too. I am totally on the fence here - not sure if one/both or neither has any involvement. I don't trust what we know about the timeline because most of the info is coming from one or the other. His early statements were as strange to me as hers on the chain of events. I imagine that LE is very frustrated and poor Lisa is still missing :(

Him saying that is odd to me also, it's odd that he noticed when he did. Now, if the police saw it when they came to the house that would be different and I wouldn't find it odd they found a tampered with screen. No one came in that window, if they had the screen would be off. No way someone would stop to put it back. Even if they came in the window and out the front door, the screen would be laying outside. No one is going to stop outside in the front of the house to replace a screen they had just broken into while holding a 10month old baby trying to keep her quiet while all the lights are on in the house in the middle of the night! You would draw attention to yourself at that hour with the lights on in the house also, who would do that?

I call bull.

But the problem is with everyone saying "if it was me" is that it's not you. Every person reacts differently. I don't know how I would react. In a panic/stress situation, I tend to become highly focused and tend to make myself remain calm. I know that I'm not doing anyone any good if I freak out.

I had a situation last year where my oldest got off the bus at a daycare on the first day of school. To make a long story short, there was about 1 hour where I did not know where she was at. I was actually incredibly calm. Her teacher went to the daycare and found her since the daycare repeatedly denied that she was there. I was about to call the police when they pulled up with her.

IIRC, he said he went to close the window once he saw it was open, and it would not close because of the screen.

At that point I would have gone immediately into the baby's room. imoo If I had noticed an open window, an unlocked front door, and the window screen was bent----wouldn't you check on the children first thing?

It could be her recollection of the evening is impaired due to the LITER of boxed wine....that also could be why she didn't hear anything, she was passed out in the bed. :fence:
