I currently see 2 moderators posting on this thread.

Here at WS one of the benefits of being a member is that if you see something that is objectionable being posted you can alert on that post and have a moderator review it.

In case anyone does not know how to alert on a post: on each post there is a red triangle located to the far right of the very upper portion of a post (next to the post number) just click on that and it will open a window for you to state what it is about the post that violates WS rules and etiquette. Very simple fix. The mod will review that post when there is time and take the appropriate action.

However, IMHO it is against our etiquete to quibble and bicker whether or not a post is appropriate because it fills up the threads with posts that are off topic. Just a gentle note :)

(I'm not a mod, and I don't want to be one either at this time :D)

Do women on this board who have ever gone from long to short hair, and a hair color change, have any notions on this - such as how it may have accompanied a desire for a significant change in their life, out with the old, in with the new, etc.? Just curious, not saying there is such a connection.

I still hope and pray the abay is alive ! i really do I hope the people who are in the area will still look in every nook and cranny till some other evidence tells them to stop... Im sorry for what the family will endure when placed in front of the media, im sure someone has told them you have to have a tough skin for the TV and the cops and press and even the web... I hope they stay focused and get to the bottom of this case. I will pray for them and for the person responsible that they will see the light and either return the baby or tell us what happened.!

When I got my divorce I immediately cut and colored my hair as a symbol of my new life.

ETA: When I first read HS's post, that pic wasn't there....but that's the exact "pic" that popped into my brain!

I got a tattoo when I went through my divorce and, no, it wasn't Bella Vita!:floorlaugh:

Hey isnt this the perfect opportunity for George and Cindy to part with some of that half million from Dr, Phil to assist with missing children, afterall this is what the money was intended for right?

The only thing that ever prompts me to cut my hair is if I can no longer get a brush through it. That hasn't happened in about 4 years. :)

No but I did see them laughing all the way to the bank....several times...

As a stylist I can tell you that yes it is very common for women to change their style and color when their relationship status changes. But I don't think her relationship status has changed? Lots of other reasons to change color too. I cut mine short and went blond because I loved Meg Ryan's hairstyle. I met my husband within six weeks of doing it. I always had long dark hair before. Covering gray is a reason that is highly popular also. Some change their hairstyle everytime they come in. Some wear the same style from high school still. I don't know anyone who has had a baby kidnapped or that has murdered their baby so I don't know if that is common but I do know women who have had miscarriage or lost children and it happens then too. I would say it equates with trying to make yourself feel better for the most part.

It could be that she does feel guilt for drinking and something happening to her baby. I know many years ago I made a drastic change in hair like this and it was because I didn't like myself at that time (not that I had done anything wrong, but had something done to me). Or it could be that someone just did it for her just trying to help her feel better.

BTW, that pic makes me :puke:

Interesting....

They are talking about the vigil tonight on KMBC and had some video from it. At one point, they panned in on JI and he was legit crying. He had a tear falling off of his nose. He's been so stoic thus far that it was interesting to see him crying.

So many men react in this way. I don't really think that JI knows anything except that his baby is missing. I truly feel sorry for him.

Yep, they can bring that boat they have that has sonar and start looking in the river. Of course, they may have to unload all the bass that's on it first.:banghead:

The proximity of the neighborhood to the river continues to be significant to me. In researching the area and the river, I am wondering if anyone knows whether there are any cameras or surveillance equipment associated with riverfront park and the boat landing on the south side of the river or the Chouteau (Hwy 269) or I435 bridges?

There are also a couple of other areas I'm curious about if any locals can shed some light. It appears that NE Brighton goes under Hwy 210 and turns into Birmingham near the river. Is it a fairly well-known and well-used road near the river? It also looks like there a river overflow wetlands where the road curves - is that area accessible by vehicle or on foot?

Riverboat Drive near the casino also appears to go cross over a fairly large river inlet. It looks like that road is the main/possibly only access to the casino. Would it be well-traveled at all hours of the night and is it well-lit? I'm also curious whether the casino has outside cameras.

Finally, do we know what (if any) areas along the river have been searched by LE?

I grow mine long and cut it short and color it at random. Usually I change it when I get bored of it. I often have long hair, and I can assure everyone that it is a PITA. Sometimes I cut it just for a break.

Indamiddle stated they've searched the river a few times. I don't know how extensively or where though. The problem is that the river is muddy, fast and deep. Many bodies are lost in the Missouri River. Sometimes they wash up but sometimes they don't. I know it is hard to search. I'm not even sure if they would really be able to drag it, KWIM? :waitasec: :(
