They do that for a reason......ratings! And I will bet anyone a dollar that it will be towards the end of the newscast so that people will have to watch thru most of it.

But back on topic...I am wavering 50/50 between whether this is stuff at the crime scene (staged) meant to frame Jesse Grunde or if this just a new take on the duct tape on the skull gleamed from depos...if it is stuff that was meant to frame JG then we are entering a whole other level of pre-meditation/or a cover up by close family/ or the perpetrator herself...jmo...

Well, carp! I was so excited because it's 8:00 here and I was thinking I would be able to watch it live right now. Except, I forgot that I am visiting someone in Mountain time instead of Pacific time that I am used to. Still another hour to go. Channel 6 now joins WESH as the two defense-friendly media outlets. But I'm sorry, what are they getting out of this deal?

Pipitone has always been defense friendly, nothing new there, as to releasing a supposed bombshell at 11pm, why would they wait until most people have gone to bed to reveal it? Wouldn't it make sense to run it at prime time for greatest effect? This had better be really good or some people are gonna have a lot of egg on their collective faces.

I think Channel 6 may have nixed a prime time showing and relegated the new information to the 11pm slot...

Sounds like his network (clickorlando.com) maybe is pressuring him for proof positive...he was likely (JMO) combing through depos (that we haven't read) and was attempting to link something together...and his network is like, "we need X before we can air it"/or the Defense knew about this coming down the pike and he is reporting this despite what legal challenges may fly at the network/or he is reinterpreting old evidence (since let's face the news is about 6-10 months behind us on the evidence itself) OR he feels he has enough to run and is confident, despite network misgivings, that his report will stand on its own...no idea...

I think that implies they are still putting the story together with JB but they are going for it whatever they cobble together ... that has come from JB's revelation from the experts....

... or, just a way to garner interest by creating some intrigue, curiosity and ... good old fashioned sensational hype.
