We are entering a period where it is more probable that there will be a lot of misinformation online and in the media. Reporters who have not followed this in detail from the beginning will be easily swayed to write stories for headlines. More than likely those stories will be riddled with inaccuracy. Vitriolic rhetoric will become the norm from bloggers and those who comment about news stories. Don't take the bait. Not here.
Remember to keep your eye on the ball. All the State has to prove is each of the elements of the crime. They do not have to stamp out every erroneous fact, opinion, theory or rumor. They don't even need a body to prove up this case.
Do not be detracted from the core of the case by collateral and unimportant issues. This will not be decided in the court of public opinion but by a real jury.
Generally, the people who come here are interested in finding the truth and in supporting real justice for the public good. Your hearts and intellect wrap around specific cases. Your discussions are probably even sometimes followed by those involved with cases and it could contribute good ideas to handling cases. However, these cases sap the human spirit and it is important to maintain a healthy balance.
At some point, I can easily see this finding its own thread (if it hasn't already)-How Tricia & Websleuths effects(ed) this trial-We have been mentioned more than once for all the world to hear, we have been visited by those closest to this extremely high-profile case, we are heavy on facts and light, well, absent if the mods catch ya, on mud slinging.
It will remain our duty to cut through the crap and hopefully, someday, we'll be seen as THE go-to for crime sleuthing and justice for victims without voices.....not JVM or the mysterious New Jersey blogger lady, or anyone else...TP may not take pride in what he does (he desires the magic "r" word, truth be damned) , but I know we do, or we'd be busying ourselves with TMZ or Ebay instead
We have to be like Teflon in the face of a lot of trash talkin and misinformation that will be forthcoming. We seem to very very good at holding each other to high standards and we're not scared to give a loving :slap: when one of us gets out of hand or goes off the reservation...
I believe there is no one here that wants to tarnish that-Let the rest of them act like arses, we'll point out their idiocy and in doing so, it will be second nature for LE to look to us. Not a pipe dream, if one really takes the time to read here and appreciate the resources, we are the LexisNexis of this case and others. Don't know about Pippy, but our future's so bright we gotta wear
