If you read back through this thread, you'll see that several people thought Van Horn was a likely place for Eliz to have stopped for the night on her trip. Based on the info in those posts, it just makes sense it would have been a good stopping place.

I just caught the news teaser before a commercial but it sounded like Logan had to turn around and head back to AZ this morning.

His goal was to hit SA today, but it something about having to empty the trailer of his belongings by today or it was to be sold.

Omg I heard from Lisa very late last night, or rather in the wee hours of this morning. They had just gotten into Van Horn and checked into a hotel. They were going to spend time checking things out in Van Horn today and then head on to SA.

I hope this can be worked out.

I caught the news story and it is just as was stated in the story, get your stuff out of the trailer today or it will be sold. Logan is on his way back to Arizona now.

As a landlord to almost a dozen tenants myself, this guy is a complete and utter *SS!!

How horrible. I wish Logan had a relative back in Arizona who could do that for him. My heart is breaking even more for him this morning...

There was no one that could do that for him...and did he receive notice on this?
I likely wouldn't be going back, it's only stuff, and even though I've had to deal with having nothing, I'd do it again.
On the other hand, he does have Jay working on it apparently, and he had no training or experience at this, so maybe it's time to hand it over.

I posted about this on th BHGJ FB page after reading this b/c it bothered me so much. Thought maybe someone local could handle it. Someone there commented that she thought the family would handle it and she'd try to find out.

I just double checked. It was 11:30pm last night when Lisa emailed me, and she obviously had no clue about this, because she was saying what they were going to be doing throughout the day today.

I assure you all, that if it's humanly possible for Logan's family to take care of this, they would have or will. They are all very close, and look out very carefully for Logan.

I just heard back from Lisa. She and the crew will check out things in Van Horn today, and then the crew and Logan will meet up in San Antonio tonight.

I feel so bad for them. The last thing they need right now is more stress. :-(

I don't know what has/hasn't been suggested, but I think laundromats in the area of the hotel would be a good place to put up fliers.

I was going to suggest the airports in Phoenix and SA too, in case someone may have flown in, bought a carseat, and left with Gabe. There may be a higher purpose of LM having to fly to and from there today for the trailor fiasco...MOO
Get fliers up there if you can.

I just want to clarify the last post. Not that I feel Logan is doing anything wrong, he isn't. It's just that there are so many people investigating and no one finding anything. I worry about Logan, since he isn't LE and this may take him out of the safety zone. It's more worry for his safety, than it is slamming his attempts.

On that note, what about stopping at police stations to hand deliver fliers. It may seem like it's obvious or that they would already have them, but there is a major lack of communication in some areas.

Why has there not been an Amber Alert? I still don't understand that. If they would issue one, thousands more people, at least, would see his face...including LE. Then maybe the SAPD could put his face on their website and then Walmarts would finally put his piture up too.

Unfortunately, Gabriel doesn't qualify for the Amber Alert. There are very strict guidelines to put out an Amber Alert. Pretty much, there has to be VERY specific info such as a license plate number, car description, abductor description, etc. We have none of that info in Gabriel's case.
It's especially unfortunate in a case like Gabriel's, where we truly needed to get the info out there, fast and far. But IMO, one of the reasons for the strict guidelines for Amber Alerts is the fear that people will stop paying attention to them. SO MANY children go missing every day, and the majority of them are found within hours. If an Amber Alert is put out for every one of those kids, and they are almost always found safely, people will not pay as much attention to the alerts. Yes, people like us will always pay attention to them. But many people don't pay a lot of attention to things like this anyway, and if they were constantly seeing alerts, I think many would start to ignore them.

It has to be clear that the child was abducted and there has to be at least the basic information on the abductor. For AA purposes, EJ is no longer the abductor since Gabe isn't with her.

There's no general thread for Logan's road trip and I have some things that concerned me from today's news article. So, although Logan has been traveling for a few days, I thought I'd start a general 'trip' thread.

From today's news article, I see that Logan had to briefly return to Tempe to remove all of his belongings from the trailer he shared with EJ. Apparently he received word from the landlord that if he didn't remove his personal belongings immediately, they would be sold.

LE had earlier served a SW to look for anything that could be related to Baby Gabriel missing. I sure hope they didn't miss anything.

Also.................Logan was due to fly out to San Antonio on Friday afternoon. He wants to meet with LE there because he's not happy with their handling of the search for Baby Gabriel.

Very disturbing. I hope a rift doesn't grow between LE and Logan. He needs them.

Baby Gabriel's Dad Clears Out Trailer

McQueary said he was contacted by his old landlord who told him he had to get his stuff out of the Tempe trailer he shared with the baby’s mom, Elizabeth Johnson, 23, or all of it would be sold.

McQueary did find some personal items that belong to his son. “I found a few things of Gabriel’s left, a few baby blankets and a little bit of clothes. But everything else is gone,” McQueary said as tears welled up in his eyes.

During his short stay in the valley McQueary expressed concern that the San Antonio police department seemed to be behind the ball on this case. San Antonio has the lead in the missing person’s case regarding Gabriel, but McQueary questions whether they’ve done anything with it.
