Lohan in Rehab AGAIN

  • #21
So true Jbean. I think as adults we lose credibility with our youth when we contradict ourselves. Making laws that can't reasonably be enforced. Imagine when troops come home from tours, the young single guys hitting the bars their first night out having a beer, defended our country, then haul him to jail for buying and drinking a beer.
When I was in High School , I was involved in a debate on this topic and I used that very example.
Interstingly, when I was a youth, we were allowed to drink beer and wine at ages 18-19 and 20. But no hard alcohol until 21.

As the mother of kids between the ages of 15 and 25, I have to admit I am glad that the legal drinking age is 21. The risk is too huge and these kids just make me nuts with their drinking!

and the sad thing is, she is really talented

I'm trusting your word she is talented, I've not seen anything she's been in. Yep....looks like Lindsey lacks discipline and her mother isn't helping her one bit by being a friend instead of a mom.

I hope the rehab is serious and she gets the help she desperately needs.

I really don't care about what happens to L.Lohan anymore. I just care about the poor innocent good members of society she might hurt or even kill one day because of her stupid actions. She is a spoiled brat who cares about nobody but herself and its time for her to grow up and stop acting selfish. It seems like none of the young hollywood it girls are worth a damn.

Just saw a local news piece that the Hollywood Clubs are really being pressured and investigated by the ABC . Many of these club owners are deciding that having the high profile celebs come in underage just isn't worth the risk anymore.

If these clubs are willing to serve these underage celebs, they deserve to lose their liquor licenses. It can't be hard to figure out who is getting served where, just pick up the latest US Weekly or check out TMZ.

Hi Jelly!

Hopefully, these clubs will do something and if they are fined enough times maybe the State will go a step further and take away their liquor license. I don't know how these clubs have got away with it for so long - with all the publicity (even naming these clubs that these kids stumble out of), I'm surprised something didn't happen sooner.

I'm also pleased to hear that the cops are finally nailing all these celebs for DUIs which at one time was unheard of.

Hi Jilly!
I think they will all be under close watch, for now. There are lawyers speaking on behalf of the clubs, so the ABC has got the clubowners attention at least.

Isn't it wonderful that rich, famous addicts can check into rehab at the first sign of trouble but poor addicts, for the most part, actually have to deal with the consequences of their addiction?

All addicts have to deal with the consequences of their addiction.

You know, it's funny, I work for a company has zero tolerance for alcohol or drug abuse. They also have a zero tolerance policy for acting like a chucklehead. The second I get arrested for anything, I'd be long gone.

How about these movie studios show some backbone and class and hold their actors and actresses to a higher standard?

I think Lindsey's mom (and dad) saw her as a meal ticket and took major advantage of their child. Like clockwork, the parents divorce, and now the mom is living the life she always wanted, partying it up with her daughter. I think she's a disgusting human being and raised a spoiled and unrepentant brat.
