After having to really focus on Wilmott because I was transcribing the tesitmony yesterday, I did come to some conclusions about her. She is smart. Not as smart as JM, but smart. She doesn't conceal her feelings well enough. I wonder if this is because she is working with Nurmi and their anger towards the prosecutor reinforces each other. I don't find her voice that bothersome, although I do think the microphone is not her friend.

I hesitate to comment on someone's appearance (except for the defendant's, which is part of the trial strategy), but I'm not impressed with the way she dresses. Yes, she is covered up (unlike someone else on the team), but her clothes are way too tight. Someone yesterday said they thought JM was checking out her *ss, and frankly her clothing encourages it. I have long hair and if I left it down like hers I would go nuts. It is hot, it gets in the way, it is hard to control, it catches in your lipstick. Her bangs obscure her face. I do sympathize with the fact that she is apparently very short: even in 3" heels she is not as tall as the 5'5" prosecutor. I knew a lawyer once who was 4'11" and it was really a problem for her. But IMO she looks like a real estate agent or a TV anchorwoman. Maybe I'm showing my age. :floorlaugh:

Her dress is not terrible; certainly she could be more polished.

My hubby said she's wearing her hair that way to look like JA, so the jurors will see JA as more normal and even professional. I laughed at him, but he's probably right. It's a DT tactic.

HLN just had a woman the same size and weight as Jodi, pull a dummy the same size and weight as TA, through the their model bathroom they constructed on their set. She had no problem down the hallway and around the corner to the bathroom but it took some effort to get the dummy into the small shower stall.

I went back a watched the blood spatter experts testimony and saw something I never saw the first time I watched it.

http://youtu.be/mS6iQ2QZKHo?t=2h5m35s

The video will start at the right spot.

she actually crammed his body into the shower stall with her feet :( (I don't know why this surprises me.)

Do you mean the shoe print in the picture that someone with a shoes on clearly stepped through the wet blood?

I found a great blog article about Dr. Samuels being a quack--the author researched psych databases and found NO published articles, not even co-authored articles.

Also explains the tests he gave and all the other problems that go with this hired gun. He's a paid witness, period.

http://kristinarandle.com/blog/jodi-arias-trial-how-expert-was-dr-samuels-expert-testimony/

Thank you so much for providing the link. Very interesting and pretty much what I suspected about Mr. S.

I do have a question for anyone who might know. I did not see the beginning of Mr. Samuels testimony. Didn't they go over his credentials at the beginning. What were his credentials, does anyone know? Thanks in advance. :seeya:

Does anyone else think the reason the DT had to hire an expert to say JA suffers from PTSD is because her "fog" is the only legal way for JA to basically plead the fiftth on the questions she doesn't want to answer while still being able to get in the points they do want explained in her favour?

I think that is true and more than that, they NEEDED something else that the doctor has not been able to do. I think the DT was counting on Samuels to give Jodi PTSD from Travis's abusive actions. That is what they NEED for the upcoming DV expert.

LaViollette wants Jodi to be diagnosed with PTSD BEFORE the killing, so it can help explain why she stayed with TA, and drove to see him and even why she reacted the violent way she did on June 4th.

It is not enough to say she got PTSD after the killing. They need her to be so badly affected by his horrible abuse that she was weakened and battered. JMO

The driver's license that I saw showed the Jodi was 5'4" and weighed 115. When she stood up to do the "linebacker lunge" demonstration, it was obvious that Jodi was taller than me (5'4"), and the defendant herself told the jury that she thinks she is 5'5" or 5'6".

In most of the photos that I've seen of Jodi, she definitely had to weigh more than 115. More like 130, I'd say, especially if she's 2 or 3 inches taller than the 5'4" that's indicated on her license. :moo:

Arias is also taller than JW - and didn't JW say she was 5'4 with heels on?

It might have to do with the 2 women that were kicked out of court yesterday. They sat behind Mrs. Arias and her sister and one of them said loud enough to hear that she wished JA would die. The family called the baliff and they were kicked out:twocents:

So JA's mom reported this? I believe her as much as I do her dotter...ugh. :furious:

<respectfully snipped>

Actually, JW's wardrobe is about the only thing that I do like about her. While I agree that her straight skirts are a bit tight, her courtroom attire is appropriate, neat, and professional (I'm thinking that it's Ann Taylor). JW's accessories are also well-chosen: chic and stylish but not gaudy. I agree about the long bangs that are too much with her glasses that she seems to wear constantly. I would like to see her long hair pulled back or in a sleek daytime up-do. This would give the petite attorney some height and make her look more mature. And that's my fashion report for the day :)

Below please find the driver's license of Jodi Arias I found at Huffington Post, it is the very first photo in their crime scene photos. It does indicate 5'6" and 125 lbs and who knows, she could have lied about her weight being less than she really was. I've not seen another driver's license of JA.

Wouldn't it be awesome if the rebuttal psych. witness had jodi do the tests mentioned in this article and shows she's a lying liar

I don't recall JW mentioning her height, but she looks shorter than me (5'4"). Jodi seems to tower over JW when they stand side-by-side in the courtroom. I'm guessing that JW is 5'0"-5'2".

Thanks. The license that I saw was from AZ. Jodi's height is listed as 5'4", weight 115.

The most interesting thing that Samuels has sad was he diagnosed her with personality disorder not otherwise specified because she had facets of different personality disorders, not just one. How can an "unbiased" expert not bring these up in their testimony? Seems quite telling he/his paycheck signers (the defense) did not bring this up!
Many here assumed personality disorder(s) long long ago! We are experts.. But I doubt the majority of us hold the required "advanced degree" in psychology to understand such disorders ;) ;) .... But I think she has elements of narcissistic, borderline and antisocial personality disorders.

If you watched JW's face while the doctor was answering juror questions it was highly amusing. Her eyes widened like saucers  several times. And she looked truly frightened a few times and he is HER expert. lol

I don't think it was beneficial for the Defense for her to get up and walk him back through every one of those questions. It made him look even worse, imo.

IKR? Every time he began speaking, she jerked her head up, looking at him anxiously, like, "OMG, what is he going to say now?"

After he seemed to be on the right, coached, path, she'd relax and go back to writing.

There are some of us...okay, it might just be me that believes Jodi is a sadistic psychopath.

As such I personally believe the knife was always her primary weapon. Knife wounds are extremely painful, there is some perverse psychology in stabbing a lover you deem has wronged you in the heart, and like many psychopaths before her, they are attracted to the power and dominance weapons symbolize - all weapons. (Recently read an account of a psychopath with a samurai sword collection. That's gotta be safe. ;))

I think she brought the gun as backup in case Travis was able to get the knife from her - or something else went awry. I also believe she thought it would be so simple as a single stab wound and when he didn't die immediately - and had the gall to actually try to defend himself - it set loose a narcissistic rage which afforded her the opportunity to brutally and heinously overkill her victim.

I think this is backed up by her pure rage and pleasure to slash tires on two different vehicles. It can't be easy to slash that rubber. Her weapon of choice, the one that gives her the greatest feelings of power and release, is a knife, I believe.

Yet another oddity about Jodi. Who goes around giving different heights on their license?
