I'm wondering if this will come into the appeals later .. mind you, what is worse, sequestering a jury for months on end or not sequestering them, and risking they may see some of the media about the case during the trial? It's a bit of a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation for a judge.

Seeing media isn't an issue on its own. The jurors promise to make their decision on what they see and hear in court. (I like to think most take this seriously, that may be a pipe dream). So they could see in the checkout line some tabloid coverage and know it's just that and theoretically ignore it when it was time to deliberate

Now if a juror goes into deliberations and says "but I saw on the cover of Star magazine that Jodi passed a polygraph" that's where the trouble is

OH I so hope Juan has known this and is saving it for rebuttal. If there are any jurors sitting on the fence this will for sure throw them over to the guilty as hello side.:great:

Will he get wind of this latest update on cancun.

BBM: Wait...what? I haven't heard this tidbit. Details, please. :)

I knew I should have kept a record of that!! It came out on a thread a couple of days ago here, and the poster gave the name of the fake male name Jodi used, but I can't remember it now .. I'll try and find it ..

I don't know anything about Tesoro, but Walmart has had an incredibly detailed inventory system for years. They mine their own data for restocking and to predict future sales. They can predict how many packs of gum will be sold at a specific store on a particular afternoon. And iirc, the Walmart transaction was paid with a credit card. they will reiterate their policy of not giving cash back for items paid for with a credit card--they will only credit the account.

The gas can and other items at Walmart were paid by cash. She saved the cash receipt or the prosecution would never have known about it.

I read it, thanks. Yes, I agree, this will definitely help counter anything the DV is going to say. I don't think she will come across as big an idiot as the "Dr." But I don't think JM is going to have any problem with her.

i agree she won't be as much of an idiot as samuels but i dunno what to think of her. i seen she wrote an article or something titled "why snow white was a battered woman" seriously?

I would guess she had known in April he had taken (or would be soon) her name off the ticket, didn't he say goodbye with a double finger salute when she was leaving in the UHaul when she moved back to Yreka?

IIRC, didn't JA call Travis shortly after she left in the U-Haul to say that she was going to spend the night in the U-Haul? As I recall, he felt sorry for her and told her she could come back and spend the night at his house. Another example of how she manipulated poor Travis!

Stupid, atty on JVM says that the state should of not gone for the dp! It's about dragging a trial on and making big money. He gives Jeffrey Ashton and the oj prosecutor as examples.
He claims this trial would have only lasted ten days! Hello nurmi and wilmott don't know how to stop ranting on and about anal. Sex
They have to have the last word! Remaking points by re crossing over and over.

Good evening!
:seeya:

Heard that also, and for the record, the State did NOT seek the DP against Simpson. There have also been countless DP cases where there WAS a conviction and the defendant sent to death row. Obviously he doesn't remember Scott Peterson, as an example?

Hopefully, all of the confusion will be cleared on Monday. FWIW, I think this is where we stand right now:

Ex #534 (3/14)-yellow lined paper with raw data; per Dick, JA answered test questions and he wrote them down.

Ex #535 (3/14)- Copy of official PSD scoring sheet, hand scored by Dick using answers from JA. Only includes scoring by Dick, no raw data (answers). Dick must have left the full PSD scoring sheet on his desk; JM requests that it be brought to court. Test score for symptoms is 17.

Ex #550 (3/21)- JM produces complete PSD scoring sheet without hole punch marks. Test score for symptoms is 15, different from previous Ex. 535. Dick confirms at no point in time did he provide this to the defense.

Dick is confused...JM asks him for copy of complete raw data sheet. Dick looks through notebook and finds one with hole punches "musta been here the whole time". Gives it to JM who enters it for evidence (we don't have an exhibit number on this yet). Dick asks to be able to bring it home, Judge tell him to talk to Nurmi.

Soooo...something hinky is going on.

In spite of lawyers not being smart enought to understand raw data, JM latched onto something big with this "expert".

Ex #550 presumably came from Janeen DeMarte, the upcoming expert witness for the defense.

We already know that the scores on Ex #535 and #550 don't agree. But the real kicker is going to come on Monday when we will find out if the scores on the yet to be numbered exhibit is the same as #535 or #550 or new score and how that compares to the yellow answer sheet (Ex 534).

Careless or fraudulent?
Stayed tuned for the next episode...

I thought DeMarte is for the prosecution? Isn't the domestic violence expert next, Alyce La somebody? sorry forgot her name.

OK that changes things a bit for me ...

April: Travis changes tickets from Jodi to Mimi.
May 10: Phone call getting Travis to discuss sex and records it.
May (before 26th): Creates fake email account and emails Travis to say Mimi was seen in compromising situation with a male.
May 26: Travis texts to Jodi about the above, he knows she's lying (stay out of my life etc).
May 28: Theft of gun

Countdown to a murder ....
Wow I didn't know she said that about mimi? Is there re: such?

Well said, Thurston! I cannot add anything to your wonderful post except the fact that this vile creature was unable to shed one single sincere, genuine tear of remorse or emotion during the 15 days or so that she was on the witness stand. Cold-blooded doesn't begin to describe her. There are no words. I believe she inwardly enjoys re-living every single moment of the murder every night in her jail cell before she falls asleep. It buoys her spirits knowing that no other woman will ever have Travis.

For this reason alone, I pray she gets the death penalty.

This message is also for Thurston. Thurston, I also was on another website forum just reading the posts and without warning they included a headshot of Travis' crime scene photo with his gaping neck wound and I dropped to my knees and started crying. I cried all morning, I was a mess. I have always had mixed feelings about the death penalty but when I seen just that one photo, I said OH YES, DEATH TO JODI ARIAS! I never want to see another crime scene photo of him. I don't think I could handle it like some people can. That was enough for me and believe me, I have seen crime scene photos in the past. I hope my memory of that photo will fade away. I would rather remember Travis as he was in life. I was talking w/my brother today about the trial and he knows very little about the trial but commented that 'that trial should have been done a long time ago!" He said the trial with the grandmother who shot her grandson is already over with. I hope and pray the jury awards the murderess with the title of DEATH ROW INMATE! Rot in prison and in hell, Jodi Arias!

I know that's all circumstantial, but if I were a juror, I would have a hard time seeing this timeline and vote for anything other than murder 1.

Maybe Juan knows Jodi was originally supposed to go to Cancun and it's coming out in rebuttal or closing.

She. Ended up staying 3-4 days longer! Poor guy!

He said stay the night, the way I read it...and she ended up trying to stay longer....this is where Jodi probably tries to tell people she lives in that house for months! I hate how she exaggerates.

Yes, but all that happened during the year (August 2007) and trip to Cancun was planned a year before (June 2007) so she may have been on the ticket originally from before he realised she was a nut job.

IIRC JA testified she was NEVER even slated to go to Cancun. EVER. Now they are releasing this info???
my hinky meter just exploded!

Please tell me the jury will be told about JA being invited first, and then Travis changing his mind and decided to take Mimi!

Hmmmm...
I've always thought that the Cancun trip was a show stopper...
Jodi always seemed to think of herself as Travis's travel companion- in her mind, this was there territory...they were going to see "1000 places to see before you die" or whatever...
Given the timeline of all events...especially with Travis calling her out and telling her how he really felt on May 26 th , I think that Jodi realized the game was up and her jealousy, rage and sociopathy led to the vicious murder...
The new information about the Cancun tickets makes total sense to me...this would have been the last straw/desperate and evil attempt by Jodi to blackmail Travis into taking her...
I think she showed up unannounced with the sex tapes as blackmail and the suntan lotion as part of her delusional belief that she could forcefully change Travis's mind...
The fact that she had recently found out that Travis felt "a calling" to marry Mimi only added fuel to the flames...
IMO...the murder was thoroughly premeditated...she would kill him if he didn't' agree to have her in his life, take her to Canun and totally edify her for time eternal....
She was/is totally delusional and evil.....
Poor Travis didn't stand a chance....
I absolutely abhor her!
