Actually, from the sound of what they feed her I think her weight loss is an effect of being jailed.

What are they trying to hide? Maybe they paid Dick Samuels a lot more than he claims. JMO

Hey dude! xoxo She's been eating the same food since 2008. She was fuller faced at the start of the trial and when I started watching, JM entered, she was a little fuller in the face. Now she looks special loaf starved. All her choice I'm sure. "not going to eat until I get the shrimp leftovers or shushi from the girls"

Sorry josie, I have had my share of no power this winter!!!! I hate when that happens because I lose everything, water, toilet, everything and sometimes it last for days! The smart thing is to have a generator but I never had the money and hope to be selling soon anyway. I have had enough and am to old for this now....lol

I like how Dick tells us about how Jodi had low self esteem because she continued to put up with abuse from Travis. Have any of you ever seen a girl with such low self esteem have SO MANY pictures of herself floatin' around? I mean, she took a picture every time she moved. Ugh.
Exactly!

So why is JA losing weight?
Any guesses?
Attention? So AV can point it out?
hmpf...
IMO it is not "stress"

Just finished reading Detective Flores' Investigative Report of 8-27-08.

He wrote there were EIGHT nude pics found on the camera, the earliest time stamped at 1340 hours (1:40 pm), 6 of JA and 2 of TA. "The first retrieved photo was of Jodi Arias lying nude on Travis' bed posing for a picture. There were eight pictures total, six of Jodi Arias and two of Travis Alexander. All were nude pictures and some in provocative sexual poses."

We have only heard about four nude photos of JA, two full body pics with no time stamps, then anatomical closeups at 1:42:53 and 1:44:00. Could that have something to do with defense's motion of July 5, 2011 regarding the display of nude photographs in this case?

Detective Flores wrote the photo of the ceiling above the shower "was out of focus as though the camera was moving at the time it was taken."

Elsewhere I read that while most consumers are unaware of it, digital cameras have an internal clock that cannot be changed by the consumer, so that any photos recovered from a deleted memory card are the actual date and time the photos were taken, not subject to change by the user.

Detective Flores wrote that Enrique Cortez told him that when he saw Travis in the morning on the morning of June 4, Travis mentioned he had only 45 minutes' sleep. [However, it's clear Enrique had some of his dates confused as he recalled seeing Travis Wednesday evening (June 4) and thought Thursday, June 5, was the day the front door was locked and the pet gate blocked the stairs.]

Detective Flores noted that roommate Zach Billings said Travis had purchased a floor cleaner several weeks earlier but had not yet assembled it. When he arrived home on Tuesday or Wednesday, the floor cleaner had been assembled and some of the furniture was up on the sofa as though Travis was about to clean the tile floor.

Detective Flores noted the last activity on Travis' laptop computer was email activity at 16:19 hours (4:19 pm). At trial Detective Melendez testified the computer activity ended at 4:54 pm, a total of 35 minutes on the computer. Just 28 minutes later, Travis would be photographed in the shower for 8 minutes before Jodi murdered him.

Detective Flores attended the autopsy and itemized the wounds to Travis' body. He listed 11 stab wounds to the back.

1. Eleven punctures to his upper back between the shoulder blades.
2. Two large lacerations to the top and back of his head.
3. One puncture to the back of his neck and ear.
4. Four punctures and lacerations to chest.
5. Three lacerations to belly.
6. One laceration across throat, which severed the right carotid artery and airway.
7. Four incised lacerations to the left hand (defensive wounds).
8. One incised laceration to right thumb (defensive wound).
9. One single gunshot wound to right brow; Projectile recovered in left cheek of victim.

The autopsy report lists a group of 9 wounds to the back, but then lists two more also on the back, a total of 11 to the back. So the autopsy report does conform to Detective Flores' itemized list. (The autopsy report lists Travis' eyes as brown; his eyes were green).

Even before he arrested Jodi, Detective Flores told her he had been talking to the prosecutor "every day" about the case. It's taken 4 1/2 years to bring this case to trial.

In his report, Detective Flores wrote that Clancy Talbot called him and related that Ryan Byrnes had told her during a conversation that Jodi had left California on Tuesday June 3rd but didn't get to Utah until Thursday June 5th and that Ryan had lost contact with Jodi for over 20 hours during the trip, and that people tried to call Jodi while she was on the road but her phone was shut off. "When she finally showed up on Thursday, she seemed to be acting a little odd. She thought maybe it was because she was tired or something...Clancy also mentioned that Jodi showed up with brown hair, when normally she had blonde hair."

"I asked Clancy about Travis and Jodi's relationship. Clancy said that ever since Travis told Jodi he no longer wanted to be with her, she has been 'very clingy.' She described her as acting very 'Fatal Attraction.'"

Jodi Arias did not file a motion for an Order of Protection.

Jodi Arias filed a motion for a Protective Order which is an order that prevents the disclosure of sensitive information except to certain individuals under certain conditions.

Methinks the defense team spends more time watching JVM and NG when they should actually be going through the discovery documents so they aren't caught with their pants down again - i.e Tesoro and that mess of a report Doc Samuels put out. Perhaps it is too late for that.

My guess is it's an intentional ploy to affect at least 1 juror into thinking her weight loss is due to: her guilty conscience bothering her, jail food too horrible to eat, extreme fear of her unknown future, i.e. to indicate that the 5 years in jail have been harrowing for her and perhaps punishment enough to at least spare her life. Also, if most inmates gain weight in jail, being thin would set her apart and make her feel "special".

Somebody in the last thread wanted captions for this picture;

Here's mine; Don't worry about Dick's testimony. No jury will ever convict me.

I never saw this! When was this taken? Was this in front of the jury?

Did you see the part where she asks if the interview is being recorded, then grabs two items off the table behind her, tells the detective they're voice recorders, and asks if they have batteries???!!!

:silly:

I haven't been able to find this or have seen it. Does anyone know where it is? :waitasec:

Ya, I was kinda curious about that too when JM asked his how much he was charging per hour. $250 is a lot - but I would think the norm in a high profile case. Wonder if JM knows something....

Oh, by the way, good morning.

Great post - my comments (purple) added w/in yours - respectfully. Adding my comments at the bottom seemed to just invite confusion and I don't know how to multi-quote. I hope you don't mind! If you want me to remove them, Allyne, please let me know and I will do so immediately.

Thank you for your comments! Great additions, and I appreciate it! :)

Have a few questions:

1) Has the gun that was used to shoot TA been found? If so, I haven't seen a picture of it.
What kind of gun was allegedly stolen from the grandfather's house? Is it possibly to get a rough estimate of the firing pin of that gun and match it to the casing found at the crime scene?

2) Did TA have .25 ACP ammo in the house? There's back and forth the she brought the gun, and her allegedly using a gun that Travis owns. There is a picture in evidence of .22lr and .22 mag ammo, but where is that picture taken.

3) Does the grandfather have .25 ACP ammo in the house, and if so, does it match the casing found at the crime scene?

4) Do any of the knives found in the house match the profile of the wounds in TA? (In other words, did she bring her own knife? Was she planning on just using the gun?)

5) Are there any side view pictures of the casing? IMO, it would be preferable to shoot TA first as using a knife for the initial attack would be easier for the victim to defend. I understand the casing is on top of blood, but could have been displaced during the altercation. If it was displaced, there may be blood on the sides of the casing in which we can't see from an aerial view. The entry is also angled, right to left downward. Possibly shot when TA was sitting in the shower.

6) Why would there be pictures of him and then apx one minute later the camera is in the hallway during all of this? Did she have the camera in her hand the whole time while stabbing him?

7) There's tassel from a pillow on the staircase, and talk about a knife was used to cut rope. Where is that knife, any rope residue on the knife? and where is the rope?

1. No, because it's never been found they can't test it. Jodi says she threw it into the desert. It was the same caliber of gun used to shoot TA.
2. No
3. Good question, I don't know.
4. No knives that would fit the evidence or have DNA on them were found in the house. Jodi says she MIGHT have put it in the dishwasher. There is no evidence that this was done.
5. As far as I know, all the evidence points to it landing on top of the blood. I think the final shot was to make people think there were two intruders. The final shot, IMO, was a :censored: YOU!! I win shot.
6. Another good question, I don't know. I believe that it's possible she wanted to commemorate his killing for herself.
7. I don't know about any tassel evidence being found. I think the defense has said that there is a piece of tassel on the bathroom floor in blood. There has been nothing to convince me that any rope with tassels was used.

I agree she isn't even remotely like most people, lol. And she obviously didn't love Travis unconditionally either. Only on the condition that he took her to Cancun :what: And that she didn't move on and chose to butcher him to death instead, had nothing to do with low self esteem. It just shows what a compulsive, psychotic killer she is.

BBM

I think there's a lot more to it than just that. She wanted to be Mrs. Travis Alexander and hold a high position with Prepaid Legal along with him, if not a higher position.

I saw that part, I figured she wanted her own copy of her performance. I suspect since she was involved with PPL, she thought she was a lawyer...:floorlaugh:

I thought this was interesting. The article is about KC but pertains to JScaria$$ too

http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/evil-deeds/201107/did-casey-con-her-forensic-psychologist?page=2

I do not know whether Casey Anthony conned her forensic psychologist. -------But it is important to recognize that this scenario is possible, and that it does happen. That there are individuals who are that good at deceiving and manipulating people--even skilled mental health professionals--to get what they want. Who have real expertise in talking themselves out of trouble for committing evil deeds and presenting precisely the charming persona they choose while masking their true selves. So good that, despite close calls with the legal system, they still walk among us. How scary is that?

This was an interesting read also.

Yes, it was during redirect after JM finished his cross of Jodi. It was supposed to show her finger was indeed bent, or something, as JM had showed the jury a pic of Jodi with her sister in that same position with her "broken" finger looking fine.

Oh that's right - to recreate the picture of her and her sister! I listen to this at work on my phone but don't watch it so I never saw it. When Steely posted it I thought she was just giving Jenny a hug in court and I was wtf is going on?

Somewhere, somewhere Jodi dumped all the bloody clothes etc. It could have been in the deset, buried, a dumpster, who knows.
I know one thing, I would not believe a thing she says.

JW finishes her last Question for her expert witness, and before she even can grab her stuff and leave the podium, Juan jumps up and asks the witness:

JM:Remember sir, you said ‘I would have re-administered if I thought about it?

And you provided us with some raw data right?

DS: No, I did not provide the defense team with that data….

Jm:There is raw data associated with this test, rght?

Ds:Yes

Jm:Lets take a look at it –ex 550 -PTS test, circles filled in…

Obj/SIDEBAR

[ during sidebar, juan goes to his desk and retrieves other papers to show the judge—she leafs thru them/while JW fights hard to distract her…]

[ After sidebar,Juan goes to the evidence clerk, gets a paper]

Then he angrily goes to the overhead and shows that exhibit of the raw data—

Exhibit 535: LOOK AT THIS, these numbers are different…right?

DS; Yes, I scored that twice…

JM; Compare to ex. 550—look, the numbers do not correspond—you changed this, right?

DS;... I misplaced that particular wksheet, so in preparation for testimony I rescored it. But …both scores meet the criteria…

JM; you are making all of these changes aren’t you sir? one is totalling 17 pts the highest she could score…

DS; No, I scored that twice…

JM :u did tell us that u didn’t need to retest her on this, right? Cuz according to u she would stay the same..right?

DS; yes…..I think I said that..

JM- But isn’t she already at the maximum of 17? On 550…

DS; yes..but…

JM;Sir, did you ever tell us that you had misplaced the original raw data sheet? You didn’t tell us that did you?

DS; No, I don’t think I did.

[He says his first visit w/ the killer was “ 2, 3, or 4 hours…” he seems rattled.]

[Exhibit submitted= definition of compassion. LOL ]

DS:“ My nature is to help people who are in trouble..”

JM:So that is part of your bias…

DS;“ My training of 35 yrs has taught to be nonbiased, and objective....”

JM; “ let’s look at that 35 yrs of training, shall we … the PTS report..”
“ You left out pertinent information, correct?
“

{ rewind to 44;00 to see Doc getting really upset w/Juan.] lol
[You can see some real anger there.. the doc has a hissy fit...]

JM; ...with the PDS test; u were asked, why didn’t u do it again? right?

You said, the answers would have been the same---

This hypothesis was formed at the first meeting, wasn’t it?

DS; No, it was not. It was months later…

JM; Ok, u say it does not matter what the triggering event was, correct?

DS;For the scoring, it did not matter…

JM;Ex 540; non sexual assault by a stranger, not important, right?

DS;“ in both of her stories, someone was killed and her life was threatened…”

JM; Both of those stories were told by the same person, so doesn’t 1 of them have to be untrue?

DS;Yes..

JM;So doesn’t that make her second version suspect?

DS; no..

JM;So her answers on 16 to 21 are considerd VALID to you?

Even tho one was based on a lie?

DS:That’s right…

JM; Isnt it true that you consider them so because you have compassion for her?
Isnt it true that you have changed exhibit 550/and 535, because u are biased towards the D?
Isnt it true that it is an ethical issue for you, that you have ex 535 as the ONLY raw data, but then u had exhibit 550, calculated differently…

[Look at 53;50===look at the 3 faces at the DT table…when Samels is trying to justify his major ethical gaffe..]

[@5500= Juan goes in for the jugular… ex 534…]

from 55:00 to the sidebar at 59:00, Juan is leading the doc to his trap. And Doc’s mouth is so dry he cannot even swallow. It is worth watching it again for the lolz.

JW MARCHED up the bench like her hair was on fire. She couldn’t stop this line of discussion fast enough.
Court adjourned. :denied:

I was looking at the interrogation w/ Flores videos and did anyone else notice? her finger even a week after the murder wasn't even very bent, cut....she tries to tell him that she has a scratch but she uses that hand actively. I don't even think that finger was injured in the murder...or in a fight with TA. I bet it was some double joint or child hood boo- boo.
