Add in that Doc Samuels (I know, I know) testified that Jodi told him that once she got away in April she no longer felt suicidal, she felt much better... sniff, sniff

She no longer felt suicidal because she switched to the 'murder Travis' plot! She was energized/manic just thinking about it!

TRUE.

I'm going to make a prediction about the juror questions. I think at least one question will be just that:

How does a woman who lives 1000 miles away, has no children with the man, no formal ties, no financial dependence upon him, is not married to him, and
does not work with him, ----how is she trapped in any way in the relationship?

Does anyone know the ruling on the motion filed by the defense to prevent the Prosecution's psych expert from discussing "SARA" evaluation?

The way she explains it "I found the charger, plugged it in, no reception, I began to drive, only one little bar, tried to check VM, no reception".. And she did all this on a DEAD phone she had JUST plugged into the charger? It would take some time to get enough charge just to turn the phone on. If my phone is dead I cannot use it until it charges at least to 10%...
If the liar had left her charger at MM's, how did the phone stay charged long enough to make all of those calls after leaving DB's and arriving in Pasadena. I believe the Helio phones from 2007-08 were reported to have battery issues ...

And the only reason she probably felt suicidal in the first place is because TA didn't want her for a wife.

The 'sideshows' highlighted in the article:

"Late Wednesday afternoon, a mobile phone rang suddenly in the middle of testimony in the Jodi Arias murder trial in Maricopa County Superior Court.

Its ringtone, literally, was the hee-haw of a braying jackass. Whether it was set off on purpose is unclear, but the young woman who owned the phone was escorted out of the courthouse.

It had been a long day of stop-and-go testimony about whether Arias truly cannot remember how she killed her secret lover, Travis Alexander, and a day of interminable sidebars, with the judge and lawyers arguing at the bench, their voices masked by the judge’s much-used white-noise machine.

And just when it seemed that the proceedings could not get stranger, a spectator in the gallery vomited loudly and copiously in front of her seat and again as she ran toward the hallway."

Good question. I have not heard yet and I don't know if it has been answered.

I believe you are correct about that. I do find myself wondering, she only remembers the gun going off and there is no doubt she is aware of the consequences of that, just who the heck was next on her "list". I mention list because she liked lists. The mere fact that she went out and bought a 9 mm, after having used a gun on Travis, tells me she had further intentions. Add in where she hid the weapon in the engine compartment, I just tend to think someone got very lucky that LE picked her up before she made another road trip.

I read somewhere that the Protective Order was to keep the Defense Billing Statements under seal. So we can't see what they are getting paid

Wth how can the dt do this on tax payer money? Geez!

Jurors will have the opportunity to ask questions of Samuels today, but Samuels has failed to convince at least one legal and mental health expert who has monitored the trial.

"Saying Jodi Arias has dissociative amnesia is like saying Casey Anthony would make a great babysitter," said Dr. Steven Pitt, referring to the Florida woman who was acquitted of murdering her daughter after claiming that the girl had been stolen by a babysitter.

"This guy, he got bamboozled by Jodi Arias," said Pitt, a forensic psychiatrist from the Phoenix area who has testified and consulted on several high profile cases across the nation. "He drank her Kool-Aid and now he is finding out that it is a toxic mix of 'BS.'"

Arias, 32, is accused of murdering Alexander in 2008 with 27 stab wounds, a slit throat and a bullet in the head. She could face the death penalty if convicted in the marathon murder trial that has captivated a national audience and inspired a Lifetime movie.

Samuels testified that he believed Arias suffered from PTSD, that the killing -- which she claims was in self defense -- was so traumatic for her that she developed the amnesia, preventing her from remembering what took place.

I wonder how many times she pulled that trick on TA ?

That's what I want to know. It could be that they might be granted this protective order until the completion of the Trial. This is what the Judge did with one of the side bars, or hearings. She ruled it will be under seal until the trial is over, then at some date, it will fall under the normal freedom of information act type... you can see it now item.

This could happen with this too. Nothing leaks now but after the conclusion of the Trial we will see the billing records. I think they have to make them public at some point because the Citizens of Arizona are basically paying for it.

The single most infuriating thing "Dr." Samuels did IMO is to say that pedophiles are good at covering up, with assistance from their families, and that it shouldn't be surprising that nobody was aware of this alleged part of Travis. He seemed to me to be acting as if it was a foregone conclusion that of course Travis was a pedophile. It was a sort of throw-away line and I think it's too late now for JM to question him about it. I agree that ALV has some hard work ahead of her.

Iirc, JM thoroughly debunked the pedo lie using Jodi's journal entries + the texts exchanged that day. Wasn't that "swap cars" day, except after TA had inconvenienced himself to accomodate her schedule, Jodi texted that she needed to sleep-Zzzz? Wasn't that the "TA called me continually after I saw him pleasuring himself" - except JM showed there were few, if any, calls from Travis, since he was attending the Family Home Evening at the time? And weren't the texts initiated by Jodi with TA's response centered on trying in vain to get his car back? JM will take great delight in reminding the jury again why Jodi's vile pedo lie couldn't have happened as she claimed.

wow. You know that scared look in TA's eyes in the shower? I wonder if he looked up, after thinking she had already left, and she is there, holding the gun to her own head? She might have messed with him at first, then pointed it at him instead. [ gun and/or knife]

What is Jodi's view of Travis' Family and her own? Can they have direct eye contact? Is Jodi allowed to have any contact with her Family? Does she make any contact with the gallery?

My guess is that the protective order is not to protect "how much" the DT is being paid, but rather, the details on "what" the money is being spent on. Those details could reveal DT strategy, and that's what they don't want publicized.

Thanks, Allyne. Just realized this footage was never broadcast. The episode I can't find is the one where she talks about 'smiling - and saying cheese'. Perhaps that was also part of this interview but was never broadcast. I thought there were two 48 Hours interviews, but could be there was only one. I'm confused....

Here you go Colt, Is this what you are looking for? She starts talking/lying at 0:12

I hope that ALV has broken the rules by watching this trial. If she saw that part,
and then she saw Juan destroy the doctor on the stand, AND if she saw how assertive and aggressive and self confident and arrogant that JA was --then maybe ALV would decide to tell the truth about the key points. JMO

The difference between JA only remembering the gun going off and remembering NOTHING about the stabbings is the difference between 1st degree premeditated murder and manslaughter. I'm sure the DT wrote the 'fog' script for her.

From what I understand about 'premeditation', all of JA's actions before she arrived in Mesa are 'off the table' because she and Travis had a romantic/sexual interlude before the murder. Premeditation kicks in the seconds when she uses both the gun AND the knife to kill him. This is why she is so adamant about not remembering the stabbing.

MOO

***I am not a lawyer and I would welcome the expert opinion of one of our legal eagles. Thanks!

My husband says the exact same thing - says she looks very manly.

The masculine features and heightened sexuality make me think that Jodi has too much testosterone in her system. :moo:
