Believe it or not, I'm a 35 year cancer survivor. So I guess that makes me an expert on . . . something, not sure what. But whatever it is, I'm better at it than him.

Comets? Asteroids? Rings of Saturn?

How the Grand Canyon formed? Coral reefs?

Meteors and craters are already taken, so it can't either of those.

I think he led her to believe that he was coming to visit her because he didn't want her coming to see him. jmo

Exactly. She asked him if she could stay at the house while he was in Cancun? Really??? You live 1000 miles away and you want to just drop over and housesit?

Has anyone noticed the times that Travis talks the longest to Jodi is the wee hours of the morning? I think even the sex tape was around 3 AM. It must be the time that he is less resistant to her. ODD QUOTE]

And that was used against Travis by the defense. Poor sleepy Jodi being kept awake by a selfish Travis calling at all hours of the night. Jodi sure didn't seem sleepy or tried in that phone tape. Just the opposite. Travis was very tired and sleepy sounding and Jodi was keeping the talk going and returning to sex and fantasy about him having sex with her breast.

Poor Travis sounded like he was asleep when she called him and it was Arias that was chipper and chatty as a parrot on the sex tape. He even fell asleep during the conversation.

IMO

Cannot wait for court to reconvene tomorrow.:banghead:

Yes Juan will start...he will pick up where he left off with Dr Fog. Yes the jurors are still asking questions. Yes there is a chance Willie can re-re-direct (if JM brings up new evidence based on juror questions). Yes there is another defense witness. Yes it will go the same way (DT asks ALV questions, prosecution asks more, jury asks their questions, rinse and repeat).....). Yes there will be a rebuttal. With rebuttal witnesses. Yes Juan has an expert. Yes there will be closing arguments. :banghead:

Yes jodi is psycho. Yes Travis is an awesome guy. No they haven't found the gun. Or the knife. No our Katie is not Dr Drew's Katie. Every answer known to us at this point is searchable.:truce:

Yes I'm cranky.

Yes I love websleuths.

And yes, I'm awaiting a time out.:blushing:

You must have never seen the Jessica Simpson version that should be named O 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬-y Night. I won't paste a link, but it's absolutely horrible. Go listen to somebody like Carrie Underwood do it to get JA's version out of your head.

Jodi's version just reminds me that Travis called her a 3 hole wonder ..

Rings of Saturn! I like that. Interesting, pretty, sure to keep me busy for years to come. Can I use you as a reference? Shame about the craters, though. :juggle:

i think it's required that anything like this be the originals too. i read somewhere that's the law.

we had a very informative discussion awhile back with AZ lawyer about these letters and what happened with the DT withdrawing right after it was determined they were forgeries (and i think that's according to the FBI.)

i wish AZ were here to remind me of it, but his (her?) legal opinion was that those letters will not come in and that some of her old DT got in big trouble over them too.

Were they proven to be forgeries or just not proven to be authentic? I thought it was the latter.

That business is weird anyway. Who makes a copy of a handwritten letter?

HLN will continue to air this whole trial (with copious commercials) through it's duration. Not sure on the sentencing phase but I will check on that this week.

Thanks, I was looking for a TH prog, but went back to the trial vids.

Found this, and I think I may watch it several times before court tomorrow.

Juan is really cutting into her 'fog' in this sequence.

I am going to assume you are trying to prove this to geebee2. Don't waste your time. That person wouldn't believe evidence against Jodi if it hit her in the face. That person makes every and any excuse in the book for Jodi. MOO

Ha! You are correct. But you have to give her credit here because it is impossible to disprove what s/he is asserting. The fact is, I can find several other texts but I cannot find a screenshot or transcription of exhibit 442 anywhere. If it is true that the text explicitly mentions the underwear, that is a big deal for the defense. It's not a case winner, IMO, but it would at least be some kind of corroboration. Considering they have nothing else, it would be a pretty big deal.

The problem I am having is it was introduced as evidence and it is Exhibit 442. I don't think I can prove anything one way or the other without having the transcript of the darn thing. S/he continues to state it is evidence the spiderman underwear story is true and is corroborated. Why do I get into such debates?! I just feel so strongly about this case I couldn't let someone who thinks JA was a victim go unchallenged.

I have looked everywhere and I cannot find anything more than vague references with regard to this exhibit 442. I don't suppose Nancy Grace would return a call from me, huh?

Ok, worst case scenario there really were spidery undies - in that case it is more likely that they were a play on the Cameron Diaz movie; maybe she and TA had seen that movie and he sent those as a joke in reference to the movie. That is more likely then the uncorroborated story that he was a pedophile.

I seem to recall that there was a juror question about TGA -- 3 or 8 people vs. 3 or 8 percent -- and he said the point he was trying to make was that amnesia is a real thing. Although frankly I think you nailed with "making this up as he goes along." He certainly doesn't give the impression that he knows what he's doing, for all his 35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.
What was really weird about it was that I think he said he was trying to illustrate that amnesia was a common thing ... by using a version of it that only a handful of people per 100K have??

]I think he did answer the phone. She called him at 1:51 pm on June 3; that call lasted 2 minutes 5 seconds. She called him again at 8:16 pm; that call lasted 2 minutes 9 seconds. She called again 18 minutes later and that call lasted 49 seconds. [/B]

His friends say he didn't even get very upset after she slashed his tires, two days in a row. Only 3 1/2 weeks before he was murdered he was recorded on the phone telling her he was planning to come visit her before he went to Cancun, even going as far as to say, "You are at the top of the list." Why wouldn't he welcome her when she came to visit him in his home where nobody else would know?

BBM:JA could have been leaving messages, listening to them over and over again before they were "perfect", like the message after she killed him. She could have been listening to his messages too.

IF Travis wasn't answering the phone, I believe this added fuel to her rage. JMO

Thanks for the tip. No I hadn't heard Jessica Simpson. Someone upthread mentioned Pavarotti. He may be the one I listen to who would definitely get JA out of my mind. Not until Christmas however.

:D

Thank you!!! I also think, without doubt, that this man is watching the trial and the coverage. I also think he's winging his testimony and it won't get lost on the jury. I wish Juan would ask him two things : the definition of the word "veracity" (I know, that's totally gratuitous but I would love it) and why he went on and on about TGA only to say she doesn't have it. To clarify that for those, like me, who are still confused about his confusing testimony.
Another illustration of how bad he was winging it was when JW asked him a rapid-fire series of leading questions about Jodi's history. He was answering "Yes" before she was even close to finishing the questions. I could see a parody being made of it:

"And did Miss Arias tell you she was held captive --Yes!!-- by a bunch of aliens after they teleported her to their ship?"

Court starts at 10:30 Phoenix time.

What's on the docket? Is Dr. Samuels still being crossed by JM?

Knowing where she was living in Yreka, it is rather amusing to think of Travis visiting her there. What an embarrassment to her if he had arrived and seen where she lived? That she wasn't anywhere in his league? That everything with her was pretense? Or would she have "borrowed" someone else's residence as hers during his stay?

:D

When I was a field social worker, I visited clients in their homes. They would cover tables and dressers and chairs with blankets, telling me that everything was a mess because they were packing to move to a better place. They would say they were living with relatives temporarily while looking for a place near where they planned to work. What was really under the blankets was drug paraphernalia and beer bottles, dirty dishes, clutter.

Jodi would meet Travis in a motel room so they could have privacy from grandparents for sex. She might even point out somebody else's house as her grandparents, who can't be disturbed because they are recovering from illness.

She would take Travis to church where she could introduce him to all her dear, dear friends, whom she hardly knew and who didn't really know her at all. This is how she would appear normal, having "work" and "church" and her profession as an artist and photographer.

By the way, when I did career counseling, virtually every single unemployed and drug-addicted pregnant woman told me what she really wanted to be was an artist. "So I could draw all day...."

Only one person had talent and actually was able and willing, with guidance, to gain skills and earn a living painting Persian rugs on hardwood floors for people with asthma.
