i think it's required that anything like this be the originals too. i read somewhere that's the law.

we had a very informative discussion awhile back with AZ lawyer about these letters and what happened with the DT withdrawing right after it was determined they were forgeries (and i think that's according to the FBI.)

i wish AZ were here to remind me of it, but his (her?) legal opinion was that those letters will not come in and that some of her old DT got in big trouble over them too.

BBM
If this is true then why were photocopies of Jodi's "ripped" out pages of her diary admitted without the originals?

It is just incomprehensible to me that Jodi never did anything (that we know of) to better herself! Nothing against waitressing; I had to leave my day job and waitress for a while when my kids reached a certain age and needed me home. But waitressing isn't a career goal, I mean really.....get a GED and attended a community college! Do SOMETHING to improve your circumstances!

Travis was ambitious and I am sure he wanted a wife who was willing to participate in building a solid life. Jodi just wanted to latch on to a meal ticket and she just wasn't "all that" so she could be someone's trophy wife. Just drives me crazy when I see people who have there hands out for a freebie but are not willing to put in time to earn it! Rant over.

She somehow got enough money to get a boob job/possible nose job. She could afford manicures and hair bleach, bling and nice clothes.

I think most of us can guess what her occupation really was.

I think that's how we know he didn't know. Why would JA got to all the bother and stealth to hide the fact she's going to see Travis, but tell Travis???
I can't make that work.

ITA. She would have been risking Travis mentioning it to someone else and blowing her cover.

He was MISLEADING! He said 3-8 out of 100,000..

then said something silly WRONG...then said 3%-8%........ but actually, what was on the slide would be calculated as 0.03%.....of folks that (mostly fake!) have it. ..jeez......

see this great article I just tried to post for Katie, and is a MUST READ IMHO! http://kristinarandle.com/blog/jodi-arias-essays/

According to the literature, 3 to 8 per 100,000 would not be out of line. Some say it is between 3.4 to 5.2 per 100,000, others have it as low as 1 per 100,000 or as high as 10 per 100,000. The main thing is that it generally involves MEN between 50-80 years old, and during the (rarer than being struck by lightning) attack, they can't remember WHO they are or WHERE they are, and even after being told, they STILL can't remember. So that was a laughable 'trial balloon' Dr. Samuels should be ashamed of even floating. It has pretty much shredded any reputation he may have had.

OT quick questions,
what is msm? usually see this refering to the media in posts.
what is <3? is it a hug?
tomhanks! :seeya:

Hi! MSM is mainstream media, and <3 is a heart. :seeya:

Don't know about that but Travis disliked Spiderman, so her tale is not even remotely believable. :rocker: MOO

I agree but I am arguing elsewhere with someone who actually believes she was abused. S/he is saying there is a text to back up the spiderman underwear claim and I can't find what that text really says. I have the video showing Nurmi asking JA if exhibit 442 is a text about the underwear and JA stating yes, but I cannot disprove the underwear story is corroborated by the text. HELP! It looks like there is a text backing up the witch JA.

Yet despite this evidence she wants us (the jury and the public) to believe he had invited her to his home? Wouldn't the phone calls be longer? And despite her story of losing the phone charger, there is no communication with him letting him know exactly when she would arrive?

:waitasec:

MOO

he also never called her again after those 2 calls on the 2nd. all the calls on 6/3 are from her to him.

Is anyone in the world convinced by Dr <mod snip>? I have not heard a single talking head give him any credibility and most of his testimony has been completely ignored or mocked by MSM. It was hard to even follow what on earth he was doing up there, except to make himself appear incompetent and one-eyed. Usually these witnesses make some impact on the people who are watching a trial, this one not so much.

Confusions abounds.

The Motion for Protection filed last week by the defense lists Sue Stodola as the Mitigation Specialist.

Just getting caught up here...TY for some incredible posts. You all keep wowing me. I have no doubt that JM is gonna rock the courtroom again tomorrow.
Am I correct that JM will be grilling FoggyDoc first thing?

I doubt Jodi had a key. One of the roommates said the doors were never locked... I believe it may have been on the Flores report.

JA said she new his garage code also.

OMG, just realized that court is back tomorrow and I'm out of ibuprofen.... seriously. This trial does give me headaches. I can't imagine how it is affecting those involved.
I heard that even more questions were handed in by the jury, is that true also?

he also never called her again after those 2 calls on the 2nd. all the calls on 6/3 are from her to him.

Correct. And even if one were to think she left voicemails as to her time of arrival, the calls weren't made when she was anywhere near AZ. Bottom line is I do not believe he knew she was en route.

MOO

After watching JA in court and her antics and then the relationship she had with TA, all I can say is the reason she and TA would be so hot and cold, IMHO, was her. IF she didn't have his FULL attention, she wasn't happy and would cause some drama.

They break up as b/f - g/f when she lived in Palm Desert and she ups and moves to Mesa.

She comes into his home, when they're not even exclusive, and another girl is there and she runs out to her car and speeds away. TA runs after her.

Another person going on a camping trip takes her back pack and takes her make-up out and she runs upstairs and TA runs after her.

She {ACCICENTALLY} sends a text or email meant for another man, to TA.

They're not b/f - g/f and she spies on him making out with another girl and confronts him as if she has a right to.

She makes dates with all of these guys within TA's social circle.

The last written messages from TA where he was going to out her and her evil ways to everyone, her family, their friends, the church. He calls her names, tells her she's evil and the worst thing that's ever happened to him in his life. Conveniently HER messages from that day were {LOST}, just his side of the conversation. again!

Next thing we know her grandpa's gun disappears, she rents a car, dies her hair, gets gas cans, goes to Mesa and TA ends up slaughtered.

The next thing she does is leave a voice mail AFTER the murder, telling TA she wants him to accompany her and a friend to see Othello. (have you looked up the story of Othello?) {{subliminal}} not to mention down right SCARY!

There's a pattern here.

JMHO of course!
fran

PS...and I do NOT believe he knew she was coming to Mesa that fateful night. She tried to get hold of him several times later that evening and he did NOT answer.

PPS... oh, about her journal, you know where she said 'something's wrong with this boy and I don't know if I can marry him?' or something like that. Well, my theory is that was at the beginnnnning of their relationship where he wouldn't have sex. After they broke up and she moved to Mesa, my theory is she finally broke him down and that was his downfall. :( She thought she had him! But she kept up her control MO and caused constant drama and the rest is history. fran

i think the reason she stuck with serving----and she even told JM she never thought of doing anything else----is because work meant nothing to her. she could make some spending money and she liked that. for big ticket things, she relied on ex-BF's, grandma and mom. did she ever have her own place? didn't she always live with someone?

also, you can get a job and quit a job whenever you want if you have experience as a server. it's a good thing to know how to do because you can pretty much get a job. she liked that but the part she REALLY liked was that she could quit when one of her 'trips' came up if they wouldn't let her off.

i bet there are servers all over california who hate her guts because they had to work with her.

Frankie...ask for a link to this text. ETA Travis himself says in the audio recording that he hates spiderman.

Common sense is all it takes, let's hope the jury uses it. Time was of the essence. JA was told that TA was looking for a marriage partner. She knew it was never going to be her. She mistakenly believed that the Cancun trip was a step in that direction for TA. She had to intervene before he chose someone else. The timeline seals it. The DT is trying to bury the facts and common sense under a load of psychobabble and pith. It's horrible the things the DT is allowed to do to save JA. I respect the law and due process but it sure isn't fair to the victim. Not even close.
