I don't have the patience to go back and read but did anyone hear that Travis bought a ring not sure if it was a friendship or engagement ring for someone. From what I understood it wasn't for Jodi. So I wonder who it was for? Anyway it turned up missing after Jodi kept coming over uninvited. Wonder what happened to it?

Well, legalmania, I don't wonder what happened to the ring. I believe 100% JA stole it. She was a thief, a liar, an abuser, a murderer. Would a little "stealing" concern her? I think not! Hating h-r forever......:furious:

Most definitely hope they all have a Happy Easter and enjoy their long weekend!

;)

It's gotta be worse than a big pink elephant in the room. They can't talk about a story that is probably the main topic in most peoples households. Imagine trying to go out to eat and every table is talking about it. They don't want to go to the store because the tabloids have the story right at the check out counter. If they visit family they have to leave the room if they start to talk about it. I'm glad it's not me. I don't know how, but I hope they are able to have an enjoyable weekend.

Me too. I made it through 10! At the end of 10 JA has been begging to see the photos again. The detective says she'll find out if JA can see any of them. As soon as she leaves the room, JA's waterworks turn off.

I just know I'll have nightmares tonight.

It's easy to spot when she is lying, or rather when her answer is not given because she can't say the truth, so she is thinking.

"was it a surprise that you showed up that day?"

".....................no answer........dead air........................."

That would be a yes...

Well...see they were about speedy. Yeah they were sequestered and speedily wanted to get back to their lives. So yeah everything went fast...but my point is that things moved along but there was not a lot of time to stop and really look at through evidence....since they ended up having some major misunderstandings of their job in the end. The whole rush-through thing backfired. At least with this case there is so much time to process and REALLY see all the evidence

I get what you're saying, but I don't think that verdict had anything to do with the speed of the trial. I think the problem existed with the jury's misinterpretation of what reasonable doubt means and not the result of not being able to adequately present evidence. The trial did take six weeks, so I'm not convinced that either side was not given a fair opportunity to present their evidence.

Im watching 20/20. On ABC. The second story is about a stalker.

I figure she took it also just wondering did she throw it away or did she hide it somewhere and wear it to places where people didn't know her. Did she have it on her finger the night Travis died and he broke her finger trying to get if off?

I haven't heard anybody talking about it unless I bring it up. fwiw

eta: I also haven't seen the newtimes anywhere I've been even though I've looked after that cover story.

Watch 20/20. ABC its about a stalker.

I'm watching the unedited interrogation tapes that were posted. On the first tape, 14:00-ish... she asked if his family was aware that they had a sexual relationship because she was "interested in protecting how he is remembered as well."

That's really rich. So much for that, huh Jodi?

Yeah, she was already thinking about blackmailing them for a plea deal!

What STUNS me is that she acts like she's being interviewed by Redbook when, in fact, she has just been ARRESTED! Her demeanor is so at odds with reality. She is so obviously a sociopath. And yet these tapes supposedly helped ALV decide that JA is a victim-survivor. Crazy!!!

I'm still of the opinion she showed up unannounced that day maybe not even 4am...

I think he even played off the several hour surprise encounter as if nothing was wrong.

But he was afraid. He was just doing what he had to to see how it would end, and the heck was going to happen.

It just reminds me of a scenario I am familiar with that happened. And fortunately that person got out alive but if you had seen that person during the encounter, you would think they were fully engaged in the events taking place. When they really were not.

Yes. Exactly. Travis was a human being and made mistakes like we all do, but was taking corrective actions for the mistakes and trying to clean up his act.

(Avoiding Jodi mainly). She then went into destructrive mode -- worse than tire slashing and stalking and started to hack into his accounts (email, Facebook) to find out what he was doing. (The Bishop, Cancun trip). Travis found out and wanted her gone for good.

As far as the Hughes' emails go these were in Jan/07. Obviously, this was before they asked Travis not to bring Jodi back to their house.

In her sociopathic ways, i'm certain she had Chris & Sky sucked in with her "charm" at the beginning and perhaps were looking out for Jodi as, sure, Travis was a "player" so to speak.

But they realized real quick she was an odd duck. MOO and started to look out for Travis.

Yesterday I was discouraged after hearing about some of the emails. But, today I realized that I had put Travis on some sort of a pedestal. So what that I was wrong? It just means that Travis need not be idolized just because he was a victim of a horrible murder. He was a "guy". A human being with worts and everything like everyone else. He may have fallen short of his Mormonism, but he was still a pretty great guy.

So what if he was a "player"? So are half the young men his age. By no stretch of the imagination is this abuse, IMO. It is what it is.

The point is, Travis NEVER physically abused Jodi to cause her to fear for her life and butcher him like she did.

I feel better now that the emails won't matter to the jury. Speaking of emails, I learned last night that it is possible for someone to hack into another persons email account and send fake emails, making them look like they came from the real account holder. I've read that JA hacked TA's email and bank accounts, but I've never heard what she actually did with those hacked accounts. Was it just reading his email and looking at his financial situation? Or did she do something worse?

That is exactly why I am hoping none of them MUST report to work on "off" days. It is bad enough they can't discuss anything with family, let alone having co-workers know what case they are deciding and ultimately know the verdict.

:(

MOO

I forget what station but they have a stalker show, that comes on weekly. Quite a few end up in murder. Now they are starting a new one, I forget the name of it. Great source of information aren't I. It goes to show you though there are so many stalkers out there that they can have a show.
