Yes, The Farm, I wrote that in all seriousness. The image was low-definition but not difficult to make out. (Speaking of Arias reflection at the shower)

Tuba, or anyone who may know, can you tell me where to find the picture where you can see JA in Travis' eyes? TIA!!!

She probably just said she would like his autograph too or that he is a good looking man...

I doubt she said anything having to do with the case!
I am :please: they keep her! Can you imagine how ticked JA would be?
:twocents:

BBM

Oh, yes. ALV is doing her level best to give Mr. Martinez all the ammo he needs to take her down.

That will be such a satisfying moment!

She triggers rage in me--she just reminds me of out-dated, frumpy, educated-but-ignorant, 1970's-feminist-Man-Hating waste of space.

Men are not "The Problem" in every situation. Women are capable of everything a man is--look at how heinously Travis was slaughtered. A WOMAN did that.

When she said "Patriarchal Terrorism" my mind shut off to anything else she spews from her mouth.

If you think that men are the problem 100% of the time, then you are simpleminded, ignorant and useless as a counselor. JMOO.
:goodpost:she makes my blood boil!!!!!
I cannot wait to see her be crossed by JM!!!

Isn't this why there are alternate jurors? Why on earth would dismissing a juror need to result in a mistrial? Put another in his/her place. This will fail, also unless they heard it themselves or from another juror, I doubt this will go anywhere.

Of course this DT is going to try throw everything they have against the mistrial wall and hope something sticks. It wouldn't surprise me if they had moles following the jurors around during breaks just waiting to hear something.

Sounds like Juror #5 made comments in favor of the prosecution. :moo:

I was on a jury where a juror was dismissed for commenting to another juror he thought the defense attorney was a "putz". He later made a comment to all of us that he basically already made up his mind halfway through trial (only a 4 day trial); which we were instructed is a big no, no until you're in deliberations.

Many years ago there was a summer ABC show that was shot during jury deliberations, there were only a few episodes. I thinkit was called In the Jury Room

In one trial they go in for deliberations and a black woman announces from the start that she will NOT convict a black man, regardless of testimony. It was pretty sickening for those of us who think people will take their responsibilities seriously.

It was like seeing sausage made. A couple of them were truly interesting, but the whole thing made me wish for special judges to sit in deliberations and make sure that kind of stuff doesn't happen (the race thing, jurors ignoring evidence, jurors taking a stand becasue they don't like another juror.....)

Didn't see what you were talking about (but will look) but that thought occurred to me a while ago. Reflections in any photo can be a source of important info and I did wonder whether anything could be seen in the tile reflections.

Glad to see someone else did the work I was too lazy to do! :) :yourock:

His name is Paul Stern. I don't believe he stated how much money Jodi borrowed. He did say she paid it back. Here is the video: http://www.hlntv.com/video/2013/02/06/man-who-gave-jodi-money-visit-travis-speaks-out

I'm gonna call this guy's bluff and put him in the same category as Gus Searcy, someone who is seeking attention out of this matter.

It just does not make sense. If what he said in the video is true, that he lent her money for a trip to see Travis and that she was frantic, he most likely would have been called as a witness. JA's version was that she called Travis en route to SLC and Travis was compelling and talked her into "swinging by Mesa"; his testimony would further bolster the PT's pile of premeditation evidence, including the rental car, gas cans, cell phone, etc.

For him to have been repaid, there would either have to be cancelled checks, sending cash through the mail, or trips to Big Sur from Yreka to pay him cash. Just does not sound plausible, IMHO.

Listen to his other stuff and it just comes off as bogus.

so what i get from this is,juror #5 already thinks jodi is guilty as sin from the evidence already shown and they want him/her dismissed...ok then

To quote FCA: "Surprise. Surprise."

Jodi already admitted to slaughtering TA and yet Wilmott and Nurmi will stop at nothing to end this trial. Did they REALLY believe even one juror likes Jodi or believes up her? Would one juror EVER like Jodi or believe her? They make me ill.

I agree. I do not believe this guy. JA testified exactly where she went on her fateful trip and this guy was no where in there.

When the verdict is handed down, she will want ALL the jurors dismissed...too late..

Poor Nurmi!

There's just such a contrast between Juan Martinez & his panther-like pacing and rapid-fire questioning (and sharp suits and handsome face! OK, OK...I'll stop) and Nurmi with his pregnant belly that keeps the back of his shirt perpetually untucked and makes him hitch his pants up all the time due to not having a rear-end.:floorlaugh:

After watching a Nurmi replay the other day, I was ready to scream "GET ON WITH IT" before he finished his first sentence.

I wonder who told him he had a career as a trial attorney. Seriously, you'd think some sort of law school counselor would have said "you know, maybe patent law is for you." You've got to have some things going for you to be a good trial lawyer and the inability to get a sentence out is one of them.

You want jurors to base their verdict on evidence but when it is presented in such a way that the jury can't pay attention long enough for you to make your point, then trial law isn't your forte.

Wilmott was irritating but not in the way that made me want to stand up and scream. I'm not blessed with patience and would have been a poor juror on this case or any case Nurmi tried.

Last ditch effort to get a mistrial. With the recent revelation of the bucks it's costing AZ taxpayers to try the murderess, Nurmi and Co figure they can get a 2nd degree plea deal if they can get this trial cancelled. Nice try Nurmi!

I'm wondering in the event of a juror being dismissed, are they still required-by-law not to speak in public about the trial or can they discuss it freely. Thanks in advance.

  • #895
Didn't she tell Martinez "Well, I am single" when he asked her about seeing/grinding Ryan Burns right after leaving the slaughter?

For me that was one of "the" lines of the trial

Can you imagine how frightening it must have been for Ryan Burns to realize that Jodi caressed his face with a hand that was just covered in the blood of her last boyfriend? PSYCHO.

Miss Arias is requesting juror 5 be removed from trial.

Wonder if this was the cackling juror?

This doesn't surprise me that little Miss Arias is behind this. We've seen her and Wilmott whispering to each other and looking in the direction of the jury before. I'm sure Jodi believes she can read lips also.

I could not make it out myself but some people seem to be better at seeing low-definition than others. I could not make out Caylee's outline in the trunk until a poster highlighted it in color and outlined it. I wish the jury in the Anthony trial had that advantage of the enhanced photo. Things may have turned out differently.

Is that picture posted anywhere? Will that show that to the jury.
That pretty much says it all.
Where can I see it?

I remember I could not make it out either.

I don't know!
I hope so!

Does JA not realize this IS court and not TV?
She can't start "voting" people off the island until she is the only one left.
Geez!
