I bet she wears birkenstocks, doesn't shave, and has a 'woman power' tattoo somewhere on her bod. Not picking up the Alice vibe much. ;) She oozes manhate from her pores. I hope they finish asap and then put her back in the time machine to jettison her back to the 1970's where she lives and does all of her research.

Having lived through two abusive relationships, if I met ALV on the street or attended a symposium of which she was a part, I wouldn't have a serious problem with her. Some of the things she has shared are true, IF they are based on a honest history of the reporting party. The scary thing is that she isn't saavy enough to have spotted the lies she was fed. All that knowledge and not a lick of 'sight' to know when she's being played by a major sick player. I don't care what her lifestyle is, what she wears or what her major era is/was. She drank the JA KoolAid and that negates all the smarts in the bookworld.

Got some activity on the case history:

Filing Date Description Docket Date Filing Party
3/31/2013 MOT - Motion - Party (001) 4/1/2013
NOTE: MOTION FOR MISTRIAL: JUROR MISCONDUCT

I have a feeling #5 will be gone. Judge will give the defense this in a DP case. Defense is on its final witness, then all that's left is Rebuttal then Closings so there should be plenty of alternates left.
JMO

Could someone please tell me who blabbed that it was juror 5 that had said or done someting...which juror number should not be public knowledge. Hum could it be the dt?

What exactly did this juror allegedly do that warrants a mistrial?

According to reports, "she" said something wrong in front of other jurors.

The biggest annoyance with this juror kerfuffle is that it's gonna take up an hour or more tomorrow before they get the Brady Bunch's housekeeper on the stand. :banghead:

We'll be lucky if this is resolved by the end of lunch recess. There's also the hearing with the InSession employee.

Jodi has already admitted to killing Travis. She claims self-defense but unless this juror commented on something specific I don't see how defense will win this one. Remember Judge Perry asking potential jurors who said they thought KC was guilty if they could put that aside and judge her fairly. Some said yes and were accepted. Some said no and were immediately dismissed. The judge was right there so I would think if it were something this person could not be fair in her judgment the judge would have dismissed her immediately. jmo

I didn't disagree with you about the possible outcome. I just think Jodi runs the show as far as all decisions regarding her plea and defense strategy.

The .25 is an old caliber, following on a tradition of "vest pocket" guns. The Colt version dates from about 1905. You know, back when horses and steamships were the way to get around. It's not the sort of thing that a guy familiar with contemporary (or "contemporaneous", if you are Jodi Arias) guns but not the history of them would necessarily be familiar with.

And it's certainly not the sort of thing a shooting range used to renting out guns that are fun to shoot, would have for rent.

Basically, the .25 pistol is the gun equivalent of riding a moped: Maybe it's fun, but you don't want your biker friends seeing you do it.

Oh wait, the .25 is not fun, so even that doesn't work.

I will invent the designation "3 G Gun" for a gun like the .25, intended for girls, gamblers and grandparents.

So if granny likes likes bingo and packing heat, there you go, trifecta.

:truce: :rocker::please: With all your gun & bullet expertise I'm curious as to your impression about the GSW, i.e. Jodi claims that she shot Travis first when he lunged(cough)at her. This would have occurred next to the shower with his back to the bedroom BUT does the presence or lack of blood in that area confirm her story? And, does the location of the bullet support what Jodi is claiming?

The juror number was mentioned in the Motion.

From what was reported by Beth Karas today, she allegedly said something that showed her bias for the prosecution to some of the other jurors, or at least so that they heard. Apparently this information was found out during the questioning of the jurors over the other motion (about Martinez signing autographs etc). It is heavily speculated that another juror or jurors reported what she said.

Okay, so I read Nurmi's motion. He seems bound and determined to get a mistrial. My question is, why? He can't possibly think another trial is going to go any better than this one. Does he think JM will be more agreeable to a plea rather than starting over?

Lol she tells Flores he (travis) introduced the gospel to me. Yet she fails to tell the gospel truth. This is one of the weirdest chicks I've ever seen. She thought she could pass a lie detector test. I wonder if she ever got on Flores last nerve.

He is a rock of composure isn't he? I had never seen any of the female LE officer interrogating her until I watched the unedited vidoes (thank you David Lohr once again), and she even said her patience was wearing thin. And she was pretty calm and patient too. I really admire Flores for his reserve, but I don't think he even knew at the time what he was dealing with. Bet he does now though.

He would probably re-think putting her on the stand! :twocents:

I respectfully object to the Birkenstock Bash....*again*... ffs-not everyone has a "sex in the city" life..and I'm a hottie in a natural, country-girl, rock your world kind of way. :cow:

Agree with manhater vibe...but please don't lump us in with her....("us" being woman who may not wear what you want us to wear....)

Listening to JA interview with Det. Flores (on NG) before her arrest. She refers to AZ as the "Mormon land of opportunity". So much for her Mormon 'faith'...the only thing she saw was $$$ signs. She is the devil's spawn!

I agree. And I think that if I was truly an abused woman who killed her batterer, I would want my "expert" to be an M.D. or Ph.D. NOT just a marriage and family counselor. JMO!

It's in their motion.

I get the vibe that she has been an abuse victim herself and possibly subconsciously has resorted to manhate as a solution, which she passes on to other female victims of abuse as therapy. I would have a serious problem with her.

If Jodi wants to cause trouble, say asking Nurmi to file this Motion, he has to correct? I am wondering if Jodi is mad she couldn't get Katie, DrDrewsJuror, kicked out, then JM in trouble, could she be causing problems with the jurors. Maybe when she was trying to get her attention, Juror 5 didn't notice, so Jodi is trying to get rid of her?
