I stand corrected they did a modified sexual assault kit! ~good for them~

Thanks for this.
It seemed to be a cursory exam of kidneys, bladder, and prostate, and basically noted all were normal.

Doesn't seem like they can tell if he climaxed shortly before death.

Fascinating that it was noted that his "urinary bladder contains no urine", as they make a big thing out of the same finding in Reeva Steenkamp.

Read this at another site : 'April 1, 2013 – 9:45 pm
Got some activity on the case history:
Filing Date Description Docket Date Filing Party
3/31/2013 MOT – Motion – Party (001) 4/1/2013
NOTE: MOTION FOR MISTRIAL: JUROR MISCONDUCT
3/31/2013 OBJ – Objection/Opposition. – Party (001) 4/1/2013
NOTE: DEDEFENDANT’S OBJECTION TO ELICITING TESTIMONY OR MAKING ARGUMENT RELATED TO AGGRAVATING CIRCUMSTANCES FOR WHICH PROBABLE CAUSE HAS NOT BEEN FOUND"

Does that mean this misconduct and Juror #5 thing is over for now?

BBM - Is this trying to preempt JM on cross or during penalty phase if she's convicted of murder-1 or both? This goes back to that determination we heard right at the beginning over how it was qualified to be a DP case and whether Flores's mistake re what the ME said should take DP off the table. Been too long - those details are all foggy now....

I had one tell me Mary was a virgin and Jesus was female.
Mary had impregnated herself like a mouse in postpartum estrus.:floorlaugh:

Yes there is one in every crowd!
If I was truly an abused woman...
and I drove 1000 miles to kill a guy that dumped me.
I am beyond help at that point... ~jmo:seeya:

Thats the most bizarre thing ive heard in a long time, are you sure this wasnt ms LaViolette that said this? :floorlaugh: You know since she appears to hate all men, just waiting for something to come out like men are good for nothing but sperm donors

Maybe that is standard protocol. I have no idea! It does seem odd...
It was not done in the autopsies I attended but none were homicides so my vote doesn't count! lol

No, it was a guy. A VERY ODD MAN! I was in college.
A pretty religious one at that! We were all like :what:
"dude has lost his last nut!"

I am still
:waitasec: about that one!

Well maybe they just cant tell re climax from an autopsy on a male--or too much time had passed?

Ooh, glad I never attended one of those--autopsies.

I've considered the possibility. Because:

1) She bought two cans of highly flammable (almost 50% alcohol) aerosol sunblock, a known fire hazard, since discontinued, at Walmart, along with the gas can.
2) The aforementioned gas can.
3) She could have set the fire and gotten out of town before the neighbors even realized there was a fire.
4) A fire, with his body burned in the shower, may have obscured his actual cause of death. Which would have gone a long way to absolve her of any suspected involvement in her death. As it was, everyone immediately suspected Jodi, beginning with the 911 call after his body was found.

She would have no way of knowing his body wouldn't be found until 5 days later. She must have been mystified it wasn't found sooner.

Guess that would be my fifth question to her. I'm saving them up!

It's also possible the 3rd gas can was for burning evidence on the road. Who knows? That brings me to one thing I don't quite get....
  • On the one hand, I got the impression that JA may have panicked thinking her car would be checked near Hoover Dam. That makes me think she would have disposed of all evidence before then. (Well except for the "kool-aid stains".)
  • On the other hand, she still had the 3rd gas can in SLC. There's a lotta miles o' nuthin in Nevada between SLC and Yreka. That stretch would have been an ideal place it seems to find somewhere off-road to start a little bonfire.

That sure would get it going and hope he does exactly that. I also think this Matt M has some important stuff he needs to say. Maybe he did help her (only in getting rid of the gun, knife, bloody clothes, rope etc) If he did help her by getting rid of it, I am sure she told him what really happened and he knows more than Jodi wants told, Maybe just maybe he has told where it all was disposed. All to in sure his freedom if he talks. Boy that would cook her goose for sure. Remember Martinez does not have to show all his hand at the beginning. Could prove interesting.:great:

Actually I would like to see Juan just blow off Alyce in Wonderland completely. Maybe ask her one or two things and just dismiss her like she is NOT EVEN CREDIBLE. That way by him dismissing her that would tell the Jury he thinks she is irrelevant. That way to move this case on and get to the real meat of the case and that is the Rebuttal Case with Closing. Enough is Enough with the Defense dragging this trial out like this and shame on this Judge for allowing them as well as her terrible court scheduling. Over a MILLION spent to defend this lying murderer. Ugh....

Anyone else think JA's mother and other family members are being paid by the DT to attend trial every day?

  • #1,670
It would depend on if it was available in the jail's store/commissary. Casey Anthony wore a little make-up, but that was in FL.

I have a feeling, knowing what I know about Sheriff Arpaio, that makeup is not available in his jail! I am guessing she might be allowed some for court, though -- just like she gets to wear regular clothes.

I agree "lotta miles o`nuthin" on that trek. She might have burned the clothes off road but for some reason my gut says she stashed the stuff, in a crevise or such never to be found. Then again any dumpster in a busy place and it is off to the dump.

I don't know, those twinies look like they are really enjoying it. Like they are at the movies even.

They're not made of money, they're in Arizona living in a hotel probably paid for by the DT. Probably the first "vacation" they've had in several decades.:floorlaugh:

:dunno: I would not think that is legal.

After some major soul searching... I am certain (if it were me,
my daughter, that I could NOT be there EVERY day.)

I am not sure I could be there at all.
It is just so against everything I stand for and everything
that I have taught my kids...

Bless her heart. It must be very hard to sit there and hold her head up at times.
I wonder if this is why we see odd behavior.

I am pretty sure if my kid killed someone like this I would just die right there on the spot when I found out.

Her dad was hospitalized the day she was arrested.
I have to wonder was it relief that she was behind bars?
That his family was finally safe, the reality of what she had done?
After all they did tell detectives they thought she was capable of doing it....

:banghead: agghhh can't think about it anymore!

Why wouldn't it be legal to pay the mother to attend court?

Something tells me her mother/father aren't very distressed that she's heading for prison. I think you're right that they feel some relief.

ETA: If it were my daughter sitting in JA's spot right now, I can guarantee you I would NOT be in that courtroom. LOL

Agree. I hope JM keeps his cross short and sweet (or rather fiery!).

My opinion is that Jodi took her own nude photos with the timer. The look on her face is of quickly getting into position before the timer went off, it was not a facial expression of posing.
It appears that Travis is asleep and woke up to the photo taking.

Jodi made sure to mention on the stand, that she did not know how to set the timer. Right there tells you she is making that up to cover up for the timer photos. What professional photographer can't figure out how to set a timer...

On another note, today, someone on HLN asked Mark Eiglarsh why Jodi did not just kill Travis when she arrived at Travis's home. She came with a gun and knew a roommate was home. She could not kill Travis with a gun with a roommate nearby.

I have had those same thoughts on the pictures.

I watched that a couple of times.

Detective walks in and says a few words, then says - did you take any paper?

Jodi - yes

Detective: where is it

Jodi pulls it out of her pants

I heard that when you are being interrogated, there is always someone watching - especially if you are in the room alone. There were eyes (IMHO) behind the camera watching to see if she would say anything when she was alone...or just in case she did something stoopid.

The detective (IMHO) already knew she stashed the paper in her pants before entering the room.

It's a good interrogation tactic, too, to observe someone you arrested while alone. Folks give off body language, and are more apt to talk out loud. Jodi, on the other hand, gave them so much more to observe. I wonder if they were LOL when she stood on her head?

:floorlaugh:

MOO

Mel

That's a great point, and makes me think she did not know she was being watched/taped when she did the "yoga thing" in the chair, sang, laughed, and did the handstand. That, to me, is more evidence that she is a sociopath -- meaning, she wasn't performing; that is the real Jodi.

Good morning all......today will be good! I have a question that has probably been discussed here at length and I just didn't see it.....but....in one of the tapes with Flores, he mentions about GPS on the rental cars....not talking about the GPS for the driver to use, but more for to track the car......did I hear this right? And I wonder what they know as far as her trip goes.......has this been discussed already?

My, My, My....... I just read the full autopsy report. On pdf page 4 under the heading "Gunshot Wound of Head" the wound track trajectory was "right to left and downwards".

http://cnninsession.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/redactedtravisautopsy.pdf

The operative word here, MOO, is downward. I do believe we have 1000 and ONE lie from Arias. If I am remembering correctly, she testified she ran out of the closet with .25 gun to the opposite side of the bathroom. She went on to say she pointed the gun at Travis to "scare him". When he came towards him, the gun "went off." (Guns don't go off, the finger on the trigger makes gun go off duh).

Well, if this was anyway a truth, the trajectory would not be downward. Bullets do not turn corners. Up and Down, Left and right are the directions of bullets. The only way the bullet Arias shot to go downward is for Travis to be below her and Arias to be above him.

Another lie to add to vault of lies!!!
