Have not gone through all the posts but the predominant thought is that they look inappropriate and improper.

Maybe, but that's kinda the point. Improper to who? The people that call in to Nancy Grace? They have no say in this.

We all know about the attorney-client privilege and the attorney-work-product privilege; so we are not entitled to know anything about what goes on between Mr. Baez and Casey that is covered under the attorney-client relationship. I think we all get that, don't we? :book: :grouphug: We also know that the Orange County Home Confinement Officer approved the frequency and duration of those trips to Mr. Baez's office. The amount of time may be stretching it a bit. :stretch: The Judge is the one who ordered home confinement at the Prosecutor's request. If the Prosecutor has a problem with the liberal attorney visits, the Prosecutor can bring another motion and have the judge clarify the restrictions. :gavel: In the meantime, she's working hard on her defense as she has told the story so far. :floorlaugh: With her spare time, Baez is probably having her read WS so she can get a dose of reality as to what the public thinks of her case and her story. cguru: The little things don't bother me so much because at the end of this case, IMHO, Casey will have new surroundings. :behindbar

I agree with you and on the bright side....at least she wont be able to say she was denied ample time with her attorney and that her constitutional rights were violated.
I'm kinda looking forward to seeing what they can come up with during all this time together. Should be good! :crazy:

Right. :clap: The prosecution won't bring that motion because they want to protect the record and protect the due process that is going on here. The prosecution can have an excellent case factually, prove every charge beyond a reasonable doubt and lose it on a due process technicality on appeal. Better to give Casey and Baez the extra time, no? Excellent point! :clap::clap:

Thanks so much. Agree with the appearance of impropriety is an issue and probably also trying to take some stress off the Anthony home so his client doesn't explode and make her case worse. However, considering the balance and trade-offs, it's not so bad.

I don't wish them to change the Baez scenario. It would be refreshing TO ME however, if Baez would alter his own conduct. It is just my humble, non-factual, opinion which is neither right nor wrong, but I'm pretty sure not grounded in delusion.:waitasec:

Since this thread was posted, I have given this subject a lot of thought.

After seeing Casey arrested again today, I thought, wow ! This gal is a suspect in the disappearance of her darling 2.5 yr. old daughter, yet she remains to live, with minor restraints in our society, as if she did nothing at all.

I noticed what a gentleman Jose Baez was when he opened her door for the car, as he always does. Gentleman ? Yes, but let her open her own door ! She is no Princess !

IMO he holds her too close, and smiled when he saw her today, before he delivered her. Has she hypnotized him with her BS ? I hope not. I understand he has a beautiful wife.

She baked him brownies ? HELLO :bang:

When she was bailed out of jail both times, Jose held on to her as if he were holding on for dear life.

Whether there is any hanky panky involvement or not, it does not look good professionally for him to act so caring towards her.People will talk. Where there is smoke, there can be fire.

I do not recall any clients in the media,
spending 6 hrs + with her atty. Use the phone, or write letters. I do understand how any client would need 6 hours 5 x a week to discuss her case. Whether the situation at the Anthony house is tense or not, they asked for that, they chose to have Casey in their home. IMO this is all too much freedom for Casey. She does not deserve it. IF they did not bond her out, and allow her these long periods away from home, and IF she were still alone in that for 23 hrs. a day, perhaps she would talk, sooner.

Remove the "spotlight" from Casey and maybe she will pout enough and talk for some more attention !

After her visit with her confinement officer, Casey, who was joined shortly after by her attorney Jose Baez surrendered to authorities, and was charged with uttering a forged check, fraudulent use of identification and petty theft of $100 or more. This time the total for the bond for the new charges is $1250.
