According to various posts on twitter, today the jury will see the video. I am not sure how accurate this is, but I thought I would post warning just in case.

Same. I have been avoiding recaps because of the images. I have seen one back when this started, and I can not unsee it. I don't want to accidentally see something, although it does appear that the journalists are being as tasteful as they can be with the images they do show.

SPEAKING OF TAKING ONE'S MEDICATION:

Something tells me that in Canada we cannot force a person to comply with meds. I recall a doctor friend of mine saying that one of the biggest problems doctors have is getting the patient to comply with the meds' directions. (In case you're wondering about me, the script was only for antibiotics!! He said "take the whole bottle, all 10 days." and I said "of course!):blushing:

Same here. But, I think Leclair is trying to find the smallest discrepancy in the testimony - ie Witness said LRM turned left in the post office when in fact he turned right. Little picky things to blast a hole in the testimony. :thinking:

Well I'm pretty sure that since his client has confessed, the difference between a witness stating in a preliminary that there are 18 cameras in the drug store and claiming 21 in the actual trial is irrelevant. And makes Leclair look like a fool who has nothing and is digging for everything he can find that has nothing to do with his client's state of mind. Derstine (in the Michael Rafferty trial) had "no questions" a lot of the time for witnesses that the prosecution put on. Or just one or two. No need to replay the video to ask the witness if LM was wearing sunglasses at 7:12pm. Short pointed questions are much more effective in making the jury think about his client's actions.

I am unsure if all of the footage was found, but the camera was. I would be surprised if the footage was NOT found. I will see if I can find any information about additional footage.


ETA: "Earlier Monday morning, the chief homicide investigator on the case, Sgt. Det. Claudette Hamlin, told the court that they were able to retrieve information from a discarded video camera found amid Magnotta's trash showing that there were two different men shown in a gruesome murder video that was posted online of Lin's killing." http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/..._movements_in_testimony_as_trial_resumes.html

It appears that there may have been additional footage, but that isn't 100% clear.

LE did find extra footage which had been edited out of the one seen 'on-line.

I'm thinking on PC/hard-drive from the apartment or trash but this is just from memory.

I suspect the jury will see both.

As for why 5 boxes, I suspect LRM was contemplating mailing one/all of the intimate parts.
