No, it's usual for the meds and even the diagnosis to take years to figure out. People call it the "med-go-round"
I'm still not sure what his diagnosis is currently - schizophrenia? What about the mentions of bipolar disorder? Has he ever actually been diagnosed with that? Could it be schizoaffective disorder? And I wonder what meds he is currently on.

But there have been 4 doctors dealing with him for over 2 years straight now. With 24/7 access to him. And still no one seems to be able to make a diagnosis or prescribe proper meds for him and they seem to be letting him decide his course of treatment?

Interesting that despite all his apparent mental health problems LM apparently has no history at all of self-harm or suicide attempts. I guess he's too narcissistic to want to kill himself.

He seems naturally scared of his own demise. But rather enjoys watching and creating movies about other people's deaths. He was a member of those gore websites long before he decided to make his own film, about humans anyway. He had already started with the animals.

Luka Magnotta did not need constant care: jail psychiatrist

Luka Magnotta was technically discharged by the first psychiatrist who treated him at the Rivière-des-Prairies detention centre in Quebec, after he concluded the man accused of murder did not need regular psychiatric meetings.

Talbot had changed the accused’s anti-psychotic medication. After numerous sessions, he concluded in August 2012 that Magnotta was stable and he should only meet with a psychiatrist if needed.

In November of that year, Roy started treating Magnotta and soon began to see him every week.

Talbot was easing into retirement, but Roy understood that Magnotta wanted a new psychiatrist so he could return to his original anti-psychotic medication, a request she refused.

Although, transference (sexual or otherwise) IS fairly common and normal. The way the tweets are coming across, it is making him out to be some 'childlike, innocent' who is so upset and embarrassed that he misunderstood somebody doing their job and being friendly to the unstable dude who cut somebody into pieces... oh poor Luka. :facepalm:

Under cross examination, the witness admitted he had a very lengthy criminal record, which the defence used to try to undermine Rubert's credibility.

Rubert has numerous sex crime convictions, one of which led him to a stint in a psychiatric hospital.

Asked about it by the defence, the witness directed his comment to Magnotta, saying, "I did what you're trying to do today, to avoid going to jail."

He said it many more times directly to Leclair but you get the gist. The Crown really missed the boat with Mr. Rubert, especially if he was in the same hospital as LM was in Berlin.

Mr Rubert may not be a... desirable character, but nobody can say he is stupid. It seems that once he knew who Magnotta was, he had his number. Heck, even before that he didn't trust him. Funny, he may be the most credible witness so far. He simply can not be fooled, and was quite sly with his responses. He made it clear what Magnotta is up to.
