Yes, thank you for posting this article. Good to hear this! Also from that article is that he still will be eligible for a pension (posting this as some are unable to get Globe articles).

However, Hernandez will be able to draw an NFL pension. Article 53.6 of the CBA states that for players who began their careers before 2012, only three credited seasons are necessary to be vested in the league’s retirement plan (now it’s five years). Hernandez played three seasons before his arrest, so he will be eligible for the minimum pension payments. It is unclear whom Hernandez named as his beneficiary in case of death.

If he gets any pension....and left it to someone, would not that money first be given to pay off any types of debts, owning lawyers, lawsuits, taxes....wehave not heard of back taxes yet.

I know it keeps on being said that there will be no money from the sale of the house and that is a good question on the taxes unless someone was paying them while he was in jail. As far as lawyer fees etc. maybe that is why there will be NO money from the sale of the house as it will all go to pay those debts?
He played the minimum of three seasons so he will be vested in a NFL pension which I think early retirement for them is age 55 in which they can draw it.
I would imagine he has a beneficiary on it, especially since if he had stayed it would have been a GOOD pension.
Survivors benefits I believe start pretty much immediately I would think but in this case who knows.

Lawyers for Odin L. Lloyd’s mother will not be allowed to run or even access tests conducted on Aaron Hernandez’s brain, blood and urine in support of her wrongful death suit against the late ex-Patriot’s estate.

Meanwhile, Hernandez’s lawsuit against a Texas technology company, which he accused of negligence after some of his recorded prison phone calls were allegedly hacked in 2014 while he was awaiting trial for Lloyd’s murder at the Suffolk House of Corrections, is moving forward in Suffolk Superior Court.

How can the phone hacking go forward until a ruling is made on AH 'no longer guilty of murder because he died in prison.' If AH gets the charge removed, then IMO, it was like he was not in prison and he cannot bring charges against phone hacking. I hope that makes sense.

That makes perfect sense. All of this is getting a bit ridiculous IMO.

It seems like there is concern for his conversations with SJH that they don't want made public, wonder why?

....someone hacked into at least three of Hernandez’s recorded conversations with fiancee Shayanna Jenkins Hernandez.

Here's an answer to one of you questions a few posts back.

.... The Internal Revenue Service has a $117,395 tax lien on the property.

According to the Herald, there was a longer report...

Inmates who claiemd to be "tight" or "real close" with Hernandez said he became increasingly spiritual while in prison, one said Hernandez came to his door before lock-in and said: "Remember when you die your soul gets reincarnated," according to the report. According to another "source," Hernandez had recently mentioned a rumor that "if an inmate has an open appeal on his case and dies in prison, he is acquitted of his charge and will be deemed not guilty," the report said.

Those same inmates said they didn't notice anything out of the ordinary before Hernandez's suicide. According to the report, Hernandez requested that his laundry be ready for an upcoming visit with his fiancee and daughter, appeared to be happy about being found not guilty of a double-murder and even talked "about the NFL and going back to play even if it wasn't with the Pats."

If he became so spiritual while in prison, I wonder if the "guilt" of him being found not guilty of the 2 murders had an effect on him. He knew he did it but felt if he killed himself it would be some kind of "forgiveness" from God? I don't know, I'm not a religious person and don't believe in that stuff so just wondering if anyone who does understands what I'm saying?

Quoting from a letter Hernandez wrote to Kennedy's father, Army read, "Mr. Kennedy, it's Aaron. I'm writing to you and Pure doesn't know. He's my brother and he always will be."

State police said a review of video surveillance shows Hernandez was on the phone just before being locked in his cell. Police said they listened to the last five phone calls Hernandez made.

"Hernandez does not make any apparent indication of an intent to harm himself during any of the phone calls," the report states.

But one inmate told investigators Hernandez told him the night before he died, "When you die your soul gets reincarnated," the station reported. Another inmate told investigators Hernandez mentioned that if you die in prison and have an open appeal your case gets thrown out..

So he was trying to get rid of his conviction or somehow purify himself.

Nice job, Hernandez. Thanks for not waiting for that appeal. I've seen enough nonsense clogging up our court system.

Somehow I doubt you're in a better place. Too bad Baez isn't there with you to comfort you.

Great Post! Such a wasted life. ☹️
