golly they look silly!

The foreperson was "devastated" when she heard the news per Boston CBS. So that is 2 jurors who have spoken out that I am aware of. And as you stated and posts upthread, the other juror confirmed it.

Sorry I have to laugh but I seriously doubt that they would be pulling up to the funeral home with a charter bus. Maybe for comfort to travel from Boston to Bristol, but not to the funeral home. JMHO
I have no doubt they were shocked as the rest of us were. And as the other juror stated they had spent the past xx time in courtroom it was AH. I could see someone reaching out to extend their condolences. I can't see the lawyers reaching out to the jurors. JMHO

And lawyers from both side often reach out to jurors after a trial. To get their thoughts on where they may have went wrong on things. Judge usually states this to the jury as well as media. They don't have to speak to anyone though unless they choose. So anything they say is on their own choosing after dismissed.

Legal, yes. But it's sort of an ethical gray zone.

It could result in a bar complaint and as the juror himself stated, he found it strange.

Hence the adamant tweets that the jury contacted them and not the other way around.

This is not the name of the foreperson that Judge in case called out but here phone interview with juror Rosita Londono

golly they look silly!

what is so silly looking? They are locked out and trying to break in a door that was jimmied shut.

I'd like to see some people try to do a job as tough as this and not 'look silly' themselves doing so....

Respectfully, this is an investigation into a prison death. As with any death, one would want transparency. JMHO It would not matter whom the attorney for the deceaced or family was/is same thing would be happening as it is currently. Some just choose to love to hate Jose Baez no matter what. The State prison has its own problems and one right now is from what has been stated that someone committed suicide and was found at roughly 3 am. Unknown how long between the missed 2 am rounds until was found at 3 but no matter whom the inmate or attorney I as a concerned citizen would want answers. I do not find that ok. I do not understand how some want to blow it off. What if a prisoner had used that time to set up an ambush and a CO was killed?

AH family has every right to have his property. And to investigate, and know the truths. JMHO

You aren't wrong. Some things do strike me as odd.

But like his jury and Casey's jury, I see plenty of reasonable doubt here pointing to suicide.

Then there's the fact that he was so successful at hiding the fact that he was suicidal that his own attorneys found it "preposterous." So other than that missed 2 AM round (which I'm sure they have a great explanation to muddy the waters with), how was the jail to know?

If I was on the grand jury, I just couldn't send this to trial.

I'm just giving the prison the same benefit of a doubt that Hernandez received. Judging along that high bar, Baez's rantings don't meet the burden of proof required.

And I'm not being at all sarcastic when I say this about the ambush conspiracy theory. I find it absurd. I believe that at most the prison was negligent.

The juror watched AH demeanor each day to determine that he was not guilty. What about the evidence presented by the DA? Did she listen to those presentations or only watch AHs, in court, body language?

golly they look silly!

The guards/Correctional Officers are trying to get the cell door open. An inmate (Josephe Druce/LWOP murder) was in there strangulating and ultimately killed another inmate (John J. Geoghan, 68 (the former Roman Catholic priest who was convicted of sexually abusing children, and who had also been at the center of the Catholic sexual abuse scandal), Mass doesn't have the death penalty so he got another life sentence added to his already LWOP.

Help me for I do not understand why AH thought he needed to be naked in death. That is just weird to me. Why would he remove his clothes prior to killing himself?

JMHO going to get really interesting in days and weeks and years to come :silly:

Aaron Hernandez asked to shack up with prison ‘lover’: report
By Danika Fears April 25, 2017 | 9:59pm

“Aaron Hernandez had requested to the prison that my client, Kyle Kennedy, be his cellmate,” Lawrence Army Jr., managing partner of the Boston law firm Army & Roche, told the Daily Mail.

Kennedy, who was one of three people for whom Hernandez left a letter before hanging himself in his cell last week, wasn’t opposed to moving in with the ex-football star, Army said, adding, “If he was going to be in with someone else, why not Aaron Hernandez?”

Hernandez’s cellmate request, which he made last September, was initially approved — but the prison’s superintendent ultimately decided the former New England Patriots tight end shouldn’t share a cell with another inmate.

Hernandez’s lawyer, José Baez, has insisted, “Rumors of a letter to a gay lover, in or out of prison, are false.” http://nypost.com/2017/04/25/aaron-hernandez-asked-to-shack-up-with-prison-lover-report/

I don't take you at being sarcastic. Prison if what is true so far about the 2 am rounds, definately is negligent. I am unsure how you could possibly "not send this to trial", as you nor I nor even the State Police who are doing the investigation have all the facts yet. That is going by emotion. I rather not do that, jmho.

Could have been something contemplating or not for long time. On outside looking in it appears odd, as we were all shocked. But if there possibly was more to it, hopefully it will come out. Prison inmates have nothing but time. They know the routines. Curious what the corrections officers union has to say.

**Interesting

Long Planning Is Cited in Death Of Former Priest
By FOX BUTTERFIELDAUG. 26, 2003

John J. Conte, the Worcester district attorney who will be prosecuting the case, said at a news conference this afternoon that there was only one guard on duty at the time and that inmates from all 22 individual cells had been allowed out just before the incident. A second guard who should have been on duty was away helping a nurse give medication to an inmate, Mr. Conte said.

Mr. Pingeon said the inmate who had observed Mr. Druce standing outside Mr. Geoghan's cell said that when another prisoner alerted the guard to the altercation several guards came running.

State prison guards and Mr. Conte, the district attorney, questioned the low level of staffing in the protective custody unit at the time of the killing. The Massachusetts prison guards' union has complained about staff reductions, as the state prison budget has been cut in recent months, like prison budgets in virtually every state.

Mr. Flynn said prison staffing was normal at the time of the killing. ''Whether or not normal staffing is appropriate or absolutely preventative is something we're going to have to take a look at,'' he said.

Mr. Conte said Mr. Druce had prevented guards in a control room from opening the door to Mr. Geoghan's cell electronically by jamming a book he had cut in two into the upper track of the door. He had disabled the bottom rail by putting a nail clipper and toothbrush in it, Mr. Conte said.

Mr. Druce used a T-shirt to tie Mr. Geoghan's hands behind his back then threw him on the floor, Mr. Conte said. Mr. Druce had also stretched socks to strangle Mr. Geoghan, and he used a shoe as a garrote.

Mr. Druce then jumped off the bed, stomping on Mr. Geoghan's chest, breaking his ribs and puncturing his lungs. An autopsy performed in Boston this morning by the state's chief medical examiner found that Mr. Geoghan had died of ''ligature strangulation and blunt chest trauma,'' Mr. Conte said.

I agree De. I watched the witnesses demeanor and the evidence CW presented and they didn't prove their case to me. But not by watching AH demeanor. Really makes one curious even more of what went on during deliberations. I bet $$ there will be some cashing in on this whole situation. Books and interviews. I putting some $ on the member whose taking sidebets up thread :silly:

I thought that was odd also

I would think we will be able to tell a lot about the relationship by the letter.

They could have just been having sex for sex

Somewhere it was mentioned that he was high ==on what?

A spokesman for Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said Tuesday that, in addition to three handwritten notes addressed to specific people, Hernandez, 27, left behind “some writings” that were shared with his family Monday.

A spokesman for Early declined to describe the content of the other writings, but said they contained “several pages’’ that were not addressed in the same manner as the three notes found by investigators next to Hernandez’s Bible in his cell.

JMHO I find it very likely someone may have requested or sent condolences.

interesting..."devastated" to be honest not the words most of us would use to describe our reaction to this suicide. Again...I think AH had some boosters in the jury.

You know, some of the Casey Anthony jurors came by their verdict the exact same way. Interesting, isn't it?

That outlook really annoys me. Those people honestly think they are better at reading body language than the seasoned police detectives who interrogate people for a living and saw probable cause to arrest them?

not the foreperson at all...tape posted below.

boy listening to this juror is disheartening to say the least...it also reconfirms my suspicion that we had some on the jury that were fans of AH...but unlike OJ in this case I think they did follow the law but I think even if cw had a stronger case that foreperson may have not gotten them all on one page very easily.
