Hi everyone,

Can someone explain to me why the defense only took 1 day for their whole case?
hiya aa :seeya: umm....because they got nada? :floorlaugh:

i think they would have been better off to have not put on a case at all so that the prosecution couldn't have presented a rebuttal of any kind.......and then they could have claimed they did so because they believed the prosc. didn't prove their case...

major screw up and it will be their downfall imo........although it was an uphill climb to begin with *also imo :D

"We're asking for a fair verdict, not one favorable to the defendant or the Commonwealth..." ~McCauley

Closings are finished.

Thanks geevee for the tweets.

I think the pcp argument is ridiculous, as is the "marijuana in box" argument.

All the videos show Aaron as the 'leader' of that group. He's always walking ahead and he directed everythig and seemed in charge. That is also what his personaliity/status in general seems like. He's the 'big bad NFL star' and he was also a star in high school - so he's used to that role amongst his 'friends.' Shayanna said he also had a gaggle of girls wanting to be with him, etc.. That automatically gives a guy a certain status amongst his peers.

He was driving, came back to his house, etc., etc.. Everything points to him being in charge of this whole thing.

I hate to say it, but I was not impressed with McCauley's closing. I thought it was disjointed.

ok i take 7 1/2 minutes in the verdict pool :D

seriously though..........thoughts on deliberation time? i'm not sure......quite frankly.....in my experience, it depends on how confusing these jury instructions are.....

and there are several counts to go thru........

anxious to hear them.....

i disagree..........it was disjointed a tad......but he told the whole story......without notes...covered ALL the evidence......

threw in a lot of common sense.....and passion for the case....i think he did a good job

YW aa. :)

Same here, I think the PCP and Pot in a Box arguments ridiculous as well, he was the ring leader, his behavior, texts and calls prove that (even if McCauley was never allowed to use that word or even say 'we know' [which by the way I've never seen a judge caution an attny against stating such]), AH directed the murder and carried it out with his own plan and gun, the jury would have to be deaf, dumb and blind (no offense to anyone suffering maladies of this sort) not to see that and render their verdict accordingly.

I can't tell you how much I hope you are right. I think Garsh screwed him with her interruptions.

Lunch recess and then jury instructions, back in about 40 minutes.

Yes, it seemed she kept trying to knock him off stride, I think he did pretty well going over all of the evidence though it could have been a bit more linear, but not too bad.

I wish he would have gone over what he thought happened step by step and then gone to the evidence to corroborate the steps.

i just told mr. bee thank god there's another judge on the double murder trial, garsh has driven me batty :cursing:

and i'm also comforted that if by some miracle this jury misses the mark, he's not going anywhere and surely he won't escape the next jury

and sorry for calling you shirley :D

The HLN programming is so bad now. All they do is talk about tweets and youtube videos. They should just go off air.

@BfragaHN
Note: First degree murder conviction in MA is automatic life in prison, no possibility of parole#AaronHernandez

I wish he would have gone over what he thought happened step by step and then gone to the evidence to corroborate the steps.

The judge would have probably injected herself (again) and roundly disallowed him to do that, since it's not "evidence".

Are we back to arguing over jury instructions?

Wild About Trial @WildAboutTrial

And we're back, Judge Garsh discussing whether she should advise jurors about certain closing arg testimony from Pros. #AaronHernandez -RK

Arrrggg, this judge.

It looks like Judge Garsh will stand at a podium on the bench when reading her charge to the jury. #AaronHernandez -RK

This is apparently what the sidebar after prosecution's closing was about. Wonder why we aren't also going over things the defense said in theirs? Were they completely perfect according to Judge Garsh? Good gravy.

Sultan: If there was evidence of any reason #Hernandez had to murder Odin Lloyd, don't you think you would have heard about it in 9 weeks?

UGH GRRRRRR...it really pisses me off when the judge throws evidence of a motive out, because it is too prejudicial, but then she allows the DT to PRETEND like there is no evidence of a motive.
