an excellent article............this little blurb stood out to me.....just a fine example of his cockiness but the entire article sums up quite nicely why i think sultan's hail mary is so ludicrous and why if this jury follows the law, aaron should be convicted......

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/aaron-...ates-on-his-fate-down-the-hall-042620253.html

At one point this week, when his water pitcher was empty, he looked at a court officer and tapped its side to signal the need for a refill, like he might have once summoned a waitress for another round of cocktails at some Boston nightclub.

Also, are there any "threads" yet on these other court cases for AH? TIA!
hi niner :seeya: i'm not aware of any......i'm interested too!

Yes, that is AH. He couldnt even keep his mouth shut in prison. He knew there would be people around that would clean up the mess. He doesnt think he will be in prison long, that is for sure. Given the judge's clear affection for him, he may be right. But this is round one. He has a ways to go in terms of trials.

I have only followed this case a little bit in the news.

I have seen enough to think he is guilty and should be convicted. I think this is a fairly simple case from what I saw.

Circumstantial but solidly circumstantial IMO.

He is on video with a gun right after the murder. And even if he did not shoot the guy he is just as guilty as the rest of them because they all went in the car together.

Just like if a robbery on a store clerk ends up in death. The getaway driver is also guilty so same here IMO. We know he was present so he should be convicted IMO.

And when I see how he is acting and reading all the extra stuff about him it puts it over the top for guilty for me.

This guy was out of control and needed to be stopped. Its a sad case because he had so much going for him and he threw it all away.

I have to wonder if steroids and the PCP contributed to his poor decisions. I only suspect steroids because he was a big football player and not sure if he even was tested for steroids. The PCP I think was talked about in the news. He seemed like he liked to hang around the bad crowd.

hi hatfield :seeya: i could not agree with your points more.........he apparently began this behavior quite a bit ago.....as a freshman at florida he supposedly was involved in a shooting as well.....it was never pursued.....no handy link so i will put imo on that.....he's a madman for sure....

as i've stated earlier on these threads......even if by some miracle this jury doesn't see the light, the double murder trial awaits and they have so much more evidence for that case, there is nooooooo way he will walk......i'd bet my bee wings on it :D

btw.....have you and mccoy made up yet? spread the love :winkkiss: :floorlaugh:

The thing that bothers me about that though is EACH victim should be given the justice they deserve. From what I have been able to read this was in no way 2nd degree. I hate cases where I think the jury compromised.

This man seems to be a killing machine.

It boggles my mind that he had so many opportunities in life to better himself yet he took the murder route. Its like he has this compulsion to kill others.

IMO

Still nuthin? :waiting:

Just started reading this thread, so forgive this being so "late" -- Prayers for your hubby and your mom -- and especially for you, too. In many cases, the one who is "sick" (generically speaking) has the easiest time of all -- I went through some very tuff stuff years ago, so I have been in it from a patient's perspective as well as in other situations from a close family member's perspective. I hope you can get a breath every now & then and get rest & sleep as you can, sweet Softail. Again good, positive thoughts for you and your folks, and prayers going up. ((hugs))
hi borndem :seeya: good to see you

i was hoping softtail would pop in and update us on her mom and hubby.....hoping no news is good news.....

anyone heard from her today?

I sure hope that one or more of the female jurors aren't infatuated with this murderer.

That happened in the Jason Williams case. IMO

I'm with you Ocean on this one. I can't help but get a bit worried when a popular NFL player or any other celebrity is on trial. He appears to know something we don't, awfully smug. An infatuated juror would not surprise me at all.

The thing that gets me, all through the trial the defense said... "it wasn't a gun it was a remote". Then at the end... "he was there but didn't pull the trigger".

i know! if i was on that jury.....i would be like......okay so you've been lying to me about everything since january.......and i'm supposed to believe you now? smh.......

and hi colette btw :seeya: :D

Attorneys always say they know how a jury is leaning. So, as I stated earlier, I feel like Sultan knew the jury was lost to them when he was giving his closing and had to throw out that tidbit to try to sway them.

LOL

Thanks and Yea....I get asked a lot about my handle...LOL

Its kind of a funny story that at the time I joined WS I was watching the Discover or History channel and they were running the 3 day documentary on the Hatfield + McCoys.
It was such a great documentary and I was trying to think of a handle so Hatfield was as good as any. LOL

The only problem with that handle is I think some people automatically think I am ready for an argument when I post but I really am a nice person....LOL

When certain topics get heated, my handle doesn't help me :)

I think you are right. Thats the only explanation that I can think of.

I suspect something the attorneys picked up from trying to read the jury near the very end and they felt they had to admit to being in the car when a murder took place. Once they did that, its all I needed to hear. Guilty by association at a minimum. At a maximum, he was the one who pulled the trigger himself. And since he was walking in the home with the gun, it sure seems likely.

Ive been meaning to ask if anyone knows this.

Was the video that was taken of him walking around the house with the gun. Was that his own video security system that he had?

If so, it amazes me he didnt think to destroy his own video evidence.

Yes, it was his video, however he did destroy some video evidence. McCauley mentioned it in his closing, but I missed that part of the trial, so I don't know the specifics on what he destroyed.

He knew how to turn off or delete the basement "man cave" cam because he asked the installer guy how to do it so his fiance would not be able to watch him from upstairs. The day after the murder of Oden a house cleaner saw Arron missing with the cam. I think he did not know how to turn off or delete the other cams, so that is why we still have it.
