Watching video now...

Sounds like the Judge is sniffling too!

Loved the exchange between Judge and Baez!

So - anyone know "why" they are delaying trial until Noon? Something from the DT - Baez in particular?

Okay - I just realized they will be starting at Noon today, so that is 7pm my time, and I unfortunately, won't be here to do tweets! Sorry! I'll just have come back tomorrow and read all yours! :)

Thanks for the info on Sullivan BUF!

I keep forgetting I'm NOT in the U.S.! LOL! And that I'm 7 hours ahead of you all -

Sorry! (about not being able to do the tweets).

a number of the jurors are not feeling well...there is a virus going around and now in the jury box. this is exactly what judge hoped would not happen by having the long weekend...honestly not so sure judge does not have it too!!

I have a hard enough time following trials with up to a three hour time difference, never mind seven hours! Hope you are doing well there Niner.

Ok I have this thought ... tell me what you all think.

The "friends" of AH in the SUV that night after leaving Tootsies ... that AH "seemed" to know but AB did not.

Do you think that AH planned to kill AB and spoke earlier in the evening to his Miami/Palm Beach friends and said he needed people to help him "get rid of AB".

(AH told AB he was "running his mouth" about Boston.)

And that is how they all came to be in the SUV that night. They were never friends of any kind of AH but strictly assistance in murder.

Also didn't one of those "friends" testify" that he (the friend) fell asleep in the car and when he woke up, AB was no longer in the car?

How do you SLEEP through a GUN SHOT and such close range?

I so hope the JURY sees how SHADY all this is!!!

I think this is a VERY good theory. The guy that fell asleep, however, SAID he was dropped off at his father's house before the shooting, then met up with all of them later at the driver's baby's mother's house.

In a "strange coincidence," he said he left his phone in the car. So, even if his PHONE showed up at the industrial park during a cell tower dump, he put HIMSELF somewhere else and said he didn't know what happened...

Yes, quite convenient that he 'remembered ' that he left his phone in the car. Couldn't remember much of anything else, but he did 'remember' that little fact.

What we haven't heard yet is why AB was 'not there' when these guys returned from their little errands. What is Baez going to say about how AB ended up leaving that vehicle? He cannot use the testimony of these witnesses because they don't remember or know anything , according to their recent testimony.

And AH won't be taking the stand. So how is Baez going to weave that story for the jury?

Jurors in the double murder trial of Aaron Hernandez will not hear a jailhouse conversation he had with his mother in which she made reference to the “bad things” he told her, a judge ruled Tuesday.
......
The call was recorded days before Hernandez’s prior 2015 murder conviction for the fatal shooting of Odin L. Lloyd in North Attleborough two years earlier.
.......
“There’s so many things I’d like — I would love to talk to you [about] so you can know me as a person,” he said. “But I never could tell you, and you’re going to die without even knowing your son.”

Missed most of the first part...

Michael Haag firearms forensics testimony this afternoon discussing the bullets and bringing this back to the double homicide. This testimony must be terribly difficult for the families. Some were taken out by the victims advocate.

Five bullets!

Travis Andersen‏ @TAGlobe
Haag: can account for 5 shots w/this ballistic damage/injuries #AaronHernandez

  • #872
Kenny Baden doing cross. Have a feeling this is going to be rough.

Have you noticed how Locke always says Ms Kenny B'ay'den, not B'ah'den?

Cathy‏ @courtchatter
#AaronHernandez - I am sure the jury is as bored/lost as most of us.

I've tuned out

Awwwe BUF.. I love things like this! I'm a forensic type gal I guess. Though Nursing career ( 45 years) I had wished that I pursued Forensics by end of first 10 years
By then, I had a family and couldn't afford to go back to school to change my career path

This witness was a very good one. His descriptions were very easy to understand by laypersons. He didn't speculate like a lot of "Experts" often do. He just gave common sense answers that explained what was available in that Bullet ridden BMW!! Kudo's to him and his expertise!

Anyway~ It took a long time for this first video to get posted of today's witness but here's Day 19 Part 1~~

Yes, you are right LindyLoo. From the little I watched he was a good witness. So can you 'please' paraphrase it all?

Get ready for Baez & Co...urgh

Cathy‏ @courtchatter
#AaronHernandez - The prosecution could rest its case on Friday.

He covered the entry wounds. Some were direct versus entry while tumbling due to projectile having gone through an intervening object, Entrance wound would be circular ( including skin or clothing) and unstable or tumbling entrances were uneven, and having edges more ragged and elliptical in shape.

He could basically only account for 5 projectiles but could NOT rule out 6 because of possible going off target ( automobile) like passing through window or into the air.

LKB was desperately try to claim it was 6 bullets because of Aaron's tat which depicted 5 bullets in the chamber. She definitely met her match with Mr. Haag, because just like him, she knows she cannot PROVE there was 6 bullets.. but trying to deflect away from his body diary of events he chose to commemorate ;)

She was trying to assign the graze wound on back seat passenger to a 6th bullet.. but He said it was also very possible it the bullet that passed through the headrest that had gone the upper arm/chest area of Front passenger victim. The graze wound however had never been photographed..so he could not even verify if it was actually a graze wound..

Hope that helps.. :winkkiss:

Ohhh yea~~ He also described the projectiles retrieved and explained all the striations and damages to them and how they occurred. He really was very very good!
