SO far it seems they have been deliberating about 6 plus hours. I think they are deliberating throughout the breaks too. I didn't hear about them taking a lunch break today??

This case is like 2 cases in one ( though connected) so have to figure out how connected IF connected. There's also 8 charges to consider so have to go through each charge. I would love to be a fly on the wall during their first "Straw Poll" :eye:

Agree. Some do a first vote on each and count. If they did and all agreed all they do is sign verdict form for that charge. No reason to go through anything unless NOT all in agreement. I would like to be a fly not a juror in there.

The two from the SUV, OH, Shayanna, and Bradley are the ones with immunity deals. What one of these other than Bradley would give enough evidence for conviction? The two who couldn't remember anything, the guy who gave AH guns, or the woman who can't remember what's permanently inked one her... don't think so! I would imagine the defense team and AH may not be having a great weekend. Baez will be busy with his new TV show though.

yes not a great weekend for the defense team..I think it has to be AB and if in fact a guilty vote is returned he will be 100% happy with himself...less prison time due to the "deal" and the ultimate revenge that he sought...might even be sweeter for him than the money...after all when he gets out he will once again do what he does best and money good in the drug business.

He might get some $$ from CNN for using a photo of him, while he was unconscious in the hospital, without his permission. But I agree, he'll probably go back to his former 'occupation'.

Here's an article from Yahoo Sports regarding today's question by the jury:

above article pretty much sees it as I do...not good for AH....and if indeed this jury can agree they believe enough of AB to convict then I say it is AB who should have the TV show not Baez!!!

No way to know what going on in jury room. And AB not only one with immunity. We also don't know how many but if there wasn't a slip or unsure wouldn't have asked.. Jmho both knows not a slam dunk. Way question was asked no doubt concerned.

But the other people with immunity were the ones who couldn't 'remember' anything. I don't think any of them said anything that would make the jury believe a crime had been committed. The survivors from the car, Shayanna and the gun dealer---none could remember much of anything. I doubt any of them are the subject of the juror question.

Here are all the charges the jury is weighing against Aaron Hernandez

The jury of seven women and five men who are deliberating in the Aaaron Hernandez double murder trial must make multiple decisions as they reach a verdict in the high-profile case.

MURDER:

Hernandez is charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado on July 16, 2012 as they sat in a BMW stopped at a traffic light in Boston’s South End.

On the murder counts, the jury has two options if they vote to convict: First-degree murder or second-degree murder. First-degree murder carries a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole. Second-degree murder carries a life sentence with parole eligibility after 15 years.

For de Abreu’s death, prosecutors are alleging first-degree murder by deliberate premeditation, as well extreme atrocity or cruelty, for the pain he endured from his chest wounds. Jurors can convict on one or both legal theories.

Did AH settle with AB in the law suit for shooting him in the face or is that 'fake news'? I don't remember hearing that in the trial.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...d-friend-says-former-NFL-player-shot-face.htm

They weren't allowed to discuss it in the trial, but I am 99% sure that there was a settlement, the terms of which are legally required to be kept secret. Which is usual in settlements like this. So we don't know how much AH paid or didn't pay.

ETA:

Settlement reached in Aaron Hernandez lawsuit over shooting friend in face

February 15, 2016,

MIAMI (WPRI) — Convicted killer Aaron Hernandez has tentatively settled a lawsuit filed by a friend who claimed the former player shot him after an argument in a Florida strip club.

In the lawsuit filed only days after Odin Lloyd’s body was found in June of 2013, Alexander Bradley alleged Hernandez shot him and caused permanent damage to his eye. The lawsuit asked for damages to exceed “the sum of $100,000, exclusive of interest and costs.”

If he didn't pay anything, wouldn't that be a 'case dismissed' outcome?

No, I didn't mean he didn't pay anything, I just want we don't know how much.

Did Baez just lose his murder case on his new Fox Show? I think he did....

  • #554
So I just watched the 'You the Jury' show. And Baez did a pretty good job, doing what he always does. He tried to dirty up the detective, accusing him of not being honest or credible. Then he went after the 'victim' in this case---turning it back on her, accusing her of being the one going after the life ins. policy for her dead sister, and not the accused murderer who had taken out the ins. policy. And he tried to 'fix' some of the bad facts, trying to make them appear as innocent reasons for suspicious things/ ...

But at the end of the show, after the public voted, Baez LOST. His client was found GUILTY as charged. I hope this is a trend....

I think Baez is very lucky that the Judge told the jury NOT to watch this TV show tonight. Because they would have seen Baez making the same arguments that he made in the Hernandez case. And it may have seemed insincere to them.

Besides that, he LOST the case. lol

So what did you think of the show? I watched it for a few seconds while there were commercials on during the show I was watching. From the few seconds that I watched it, it seemed really scripted---like Baez practiced in front of his bathroom mirror before he actually did the show.

That SUV hidden in AH's uncle's garage is one of the key pieces of evidence that corroborates AB's testimony. It was totally cleaned and hidden away for over a year. AH wasn't going to hide it to protect AB, after all he shot him & left him for dead.

Totally agree with BUF! Why hide the truck to protect AB?!?! And it was nice and clean.... well, except for the spider webs! :D

I have a question and am wondering if anyone knows - was AH ever charged with attempted murder for AB? Or is that in the works?
