I'm looking over the map and can't understand why he would have walked over by the wgby building. If he were headed home it would seem he would have picked up the bus stop at court square. Did he have any friends out that way, could he have been headed to Peter Pan bus lines?

excellent - i was hoping someone would get those details into an article so we could talk about them!

2 hours at a bar is not much time to get so drunk you are asked to leave, unless he was well on his way before he got there? idk

with the facts we know now i will just say that we have seen this story play out many times before

I think we are on the same page drjones. I had just thought that prior to your post. If he was sober getting there, not much time to get himself in trouble IMO. He might have been intoxicated prior to getting there. again IMO

He didn't look intoxicated to me in that video. He could have been escorted out for a variety of reasons. Doesn't sound like he went there with friends, so I wonder how he intended to get home. From his walking route, it looks like he was going to meet someone. There is another bar out that way, maybe he was meeting with friends to get a ride home or head to someone's home?

Thank you for posting this @drjones! I’m going to try to catch it if I’m able to. I think about Achim a lot. It’s so baffling.

Thank you! It’ll be interesting to see what the comments are, too. I feel so badly for his family. This is going to be a case that latches on to me for some reason. I hope there’s news soon!

this is the area they talk about where he entered the dirt parking lot then appeared to turn around and head south along the train tracks back towards where he had come from;

very hard listening to his parents talk about him and how hard this is they seem like really good people and achim seems like a great guy.

i hope there is still some way this can end well.

i agree, if someone followed him from the bar with ill intent they wouldnt walk for *miles* before acting.

edit - achim walked about 1.7 miles from sam's to the parking lot then back past sam's to the area of balise chevrolet
