This last section was not good for the defense.
The last video of trash dump happened during kids pick up time.

With children in the car, presumably.

My heart.

Oh I am so angry at his requested leave times. He even conned that system. Who needs 2 and a half hours to pick up or drop off their children.

Anybody thinking BW will testify in his own defense. I'm leaning toward him doing just that. JMOO

Or...

They could just rest.

Nobody is going to believe Ana died of SUDS, regardless if some people do.

They might be best to rest.

FWIW Ana had every reason to put on a happy married face on NYE. IMO she did not intend to tell BW about the affair until she saw how his federal charges fell.

However, once they were alone together on NYE, I don't think she would have welcomed BW if he tried to get cozy.

One way or another, I think he forced her hand and she told him about her affair.

I do not think the Defense can put BW on the stand. He would have to lie about the state AW was in when he found her "dead in bed".

If he dies so, it's against legal advice IMO.

I think they'll rest without a defense. 51/49%

It would be best to just rest, lol. But you know that BW ego. That's his story and he's sticking to it.

I think he told her he knew about the affair. I think he knew or his mommy knew and his panic was her leaving him and taking what he would consider His money along with her. She had the big dollar job that was floating his lifestyle and paying his court fee's. Without an alive Ana he would be just a washed up con man fraudster but a dead Ana would give him millions.

His plan was so stupid though to make it seem like she was missing. That takes years to get a record of death.

And his home detention was contingent on his caretaking of the children. She moves to DC with the children, his heels cool behind bars.

That alone could have motivated him to stop her.

I am sad that State didn't better prepare their witness to give actual voice to Ana.

I agree with others, the point was made, but I just wish we could have heard from her through him.

I still wonder what it was she said.

yes excellent point. He neeeeeeded her but she was having second thoughts.

TBF I do think AW loved BW. She shared her 3 children with him and he may have been a good father to the boys. She most likely didn't want to disrupt all of their lives (that was Brian's doing not hers)
Both Fastow and Gem reported that Ana loved Brian in very believable testimony.

It's very sad as I don't think anything could have prepared her for what was to happen in the early hours of NY Day.

quoting myself after looking through some notes. I'm sure I missed more examples but here is what Brian was doing during the above time frame.
Not in order
1/1/23 6:22pm. @ CVS buying hydro peroxide
1/1/23. ?? @ Lowes in the murder clean up aisle
1/1/23. ?? @ liquor store dumpster drop
1/1/23. 3:39. @ Walgreens buying bandaids and antibiotic cream

Why was the defense talking to the probation officer about Brian going out for dinner on Jan 1st?

Are they trying to make out he was going to the dinner with Ana and WF?

[…]

Mutlu testified that he left around 1:30 a.m., the last time he saw Ana. He said he received a call several days later from Brian, who said Ana had left for a work emergency in D.C. on New Year’s Day and asked if he’d heard from her.

“I was incredulous,” Mutlu said. “I said what work emergency could there be on New Year’s Eve? What could it be? I said listen, did you guys have an argument or something? Did you have a fight?”

“What was his response?” Mutlu was asked.

“His response was, I do remember this vividly as well… His response was ‘No, did it look like we had an argument? You were there.'” Mutlu said.

Yes, and if he hadn't COMMIT FRAUD, they wouldn't have been separated by distance and they may have stayed married. That case had to be a HUGE STRESS on their marriage, and ultimately IMO he killed her over it.
