The toddler found dead on the shore inside a garbage bag and known only as Baby Doe since her discovery on June 25 has at last been identified, and the girl’s mother and her boyfriend have been detained for questioning.
Boston police today ID’d the deceased child as Bella, and her mother as 40-year-old Rachelle Bond. Bond’s boyfriend is Michael McCarthy, 35. She has been placed under arrest. McCarthy is also under arrest. He’s being treated at Beth Israel medical center in Brookline for drug problems.
In June, Bella was found dead on Deer Island, a peninsula off Boston, by a woman who was walking her dog. Since then, the child’s identity has remained a mystery, until today when cops revealed a break in the case. Bella’s body had no obvious signs of trauma, and her exact cause of death is unknown. She was just shy of her 3rd birthday when she was found dead.

Why do people keep bringing up Casey's tattoo? Or even Casey, in general? People have got to stop accusing her of being indirectly involved in every child under age 5 murdered since 2011. Children have been murdered before Casey, and will sadly, continue to be killed by their parents.

With respect, it's a fair comparison. Both kids were dumped in water. One/Swamp. One beach. I don't think its necessarily the comparison as much as the thought of how CA exposed the blueprint of how to lead the fast life without your kid cramping your style. Once you plant an idea, it grows. Like it or not. She did NOT invent it, she just had it exposed to national attention. Kids die every day to these SAME issues. Kids will continue to die at the hands of lowlife parents. The only reason this is news is because they dumped her unidentified in a public area. Tragic. You must first understand these types of people and how they operate before you understand the comparison. FAST LIFE. JMO.

i didnt think at 40 this was her first kid. i figured they were w dad or taken.

^the neighbor in that interview also said that Bond told her she had lost custody of her "other children", so Bella may have a brother and/or sister out there.

I wish we/media would stop calling her "mother"...she is NOT a mother. Regardless of what happened to sweet little Bella, this woman didn't even care enough to claim her. I know if ever my child was found in a garbage bag deceased you better start looking for my body as well.

I agree. I would feel much more comfortable calling her "mother" with quotation marks than mother. She's not a mother. She's a monster. I know when more details emerge, it will be shown. But even knowing as little as we do....to me, she's a monster. A real mother wouldn't just go on living life like nothing happened while their child is nameless on a slab. Monster.

There's one man being questioned st police station and another that is an ex of the mom that was around during the time Bella died, he's being questioned in the hospital.

Just a thought....but if mom did in fact have a drug problem, it is possible that the abundance of love on fb could be for potential "viewers" of her page. I feel her comments are almost over worded, sounds somewhat forced. RIP Bella!

What do you mean? Like I said weeks back about not wanting the SNAP benefits cut off? Agreed if so. Some people sell their benefit cards for cash instead of buying the groceries. JMO.

however this statement is completely false, it doesn't seem anyone, RB or someone else, tried to hide Bella's little body! Instead she was dumped in a trash bag!!

Previous children removed from the home. It was her neighbor who was interviewed that released that information--along with DFCS. HEY everyone, please go through and if you mentioned the word FB on here, go edit it out, take down the links. FB may NOT be discussed here. Don't get the thread closed and don't bring names from her FB over here. We have enough news articles with her photos circulating to safely use THOSE links as reference now. Take it down please. They will close the thread if this becomes too much work. Remember WS admins are volunteers!!! Help them out!! JMO.

Oh wow, I just heard the news on twitter. I have a lot to catch up on in this thread but oh god I am so happy this baby girl has her name back! And her mother and mothers boyfriend are in custody, I also read? Probably suffocated her and then got rid of her. Like I said, I haven't caught up with the thread, but is it safe to assume these were not great people. Poor little girl. Drugs were probably in the mix. I'm disgusted at them, but I hope she can rest in peace now soon.

They arrested the ex at the hospital but her new bf was being questioned. They said the guy at hospital was the one around when bella died. Wonder why he was in hospital? Drug overdose? Suicide attempt?
