Also locals, please chime in. I'm from Peabody and it helps immensely in other cases when locals contextualize stories and places, so I'm trying to help out others as much as I can with describing the different cities, towns, and cultures inside 495.

From Tewksbury..not too far but obviously I live in more of a suburb. Too close to home for me. My hubby works in Lynn, he sees all kinds of lovely people.

Previous children removed from the home. It was her neighbor who was interviewed that released that information. HEY everyone, please go through and if you mentioned the word FB on here, go edit it out, take down the links. FB may NOT be discussed here. Don't get the thread closed. We have enough news articles with her photos circulating to safely use THOSE links as reference now. Take it down please. They will close the thread if this becomes too much work. I've avoided this thread because the reconstruction looked so my like my three year-old. Looking at the real pictures of this little girl makes me queasy. How someone can have a child, raise a child, and dispose of them like trash is so far beyond my comprehension.

With respect, it's a fair comparison. Both kids were dumped in water. One/Swamp. One beach. I don't think its necessarily the comparison as much as the thought of how CA exposed the blueprint of how to lead the fast life without your kid cramping your style. Once you plant an idea, it grows. Like it or not. She did NOT invent it, she just had it exposed to national attention. Kids die every day to these SAME issues. Kids will continue to die at the hands of lowlife parents. The only reason this is news is because they dumped her unidentified in a public area. Tragic. You must first understand these types of people and how they operate before you understand the comparison. FAST LIFE. JMO.

Children have been killed by their parents because they no longer want them before Caylee. What about Susan Smith's boys? Many bodies have been dumped in the water. Do you have a source showing that the number of children killed by their parents since 2011 has increased significantly due to Casey Anthony? Has there been any reseach papers done about this phenomenom that I constantly seen brought up on WS?

Amazingly enough, she managed to find a WORSE boyfriend than a gravedigger, who stole a skull so he could smoke dope out of it.

I'm confused by a few things.

Bella had been in DCF custody before, RB has a criminal history, she's a drug addict and prostitute and had children previously taken away. How and WHY was Bella given back to RB? Did DCF close whatever case they had? was no one checking up on this child?

It looks like RB and Bella lived in public transitional housing. Surely there is some sort of accountability you must show to live in such a place. Did no one check up on Bella?

Probably knew he would be arrested and would rather sober up in a nice cozy hospital bed with fluids and meds and a kind nurse than on a cold, hard county jail floor.

I don't post often, but am here reading all the time. I am horrified to hear the identity, I know the mother and cannot believe this! She is not a friend, but we hung around with same group of people back in our late teens/early 20's. This is horrifying! I've followed this case all long, and to find out I know the mom!

I'm so sorry. How hard this must be for you.

i dont think one is any better than the other. i just dont think they are alike. and she is from fitchburg, it is a pretty poor area.

We don't know if she grew up comfy or not. The murdering suspect in this case is 40 years old. Casey was 22.
