The name Isabella has been in the top 10 in the Social Security index for a long time now. It's just one of those names that people loves...even before Twilight.

Yep :) I was just pointing out to another poster that there would be more likely reasons to call a child Bella than a link to CA

he is gross looking.

No. I have been looking. I assume he is the one in the pictures on her FB account. She called him hubby.

I am so happy this child has been identified. Bella. I saw this on my FB feed and my whole stomach dropped.

I see something very different in the pictures and videos than some others though. I don't see a child that was loved. I see a manic mother who at times would become obsessed with mothering and her daughter. I do think Bella had at least a few happy times though.

Did you hear "Mom" talking on the video? She is stoned out of her mind:-( That poor sweet baby

im hoping that she does. i dont thnk she is as pathological as lonzie's mom. she hid her death which is freakin awful but she seemed to love and prioritize her before. please mom! have a concious!

Add me to the list of those questioning drug involvement/accidental death of Bella. Basing this on some of Mum's pics and her voice in that video. I hope the truth comes out. She owes it to Bella to lay it all out on the table.

Ikr ?
Maybe they were told that Bella was "in foster care" ?
Or do people who indulge in illegal substances -- drift in and out of reality... and not really notice someone's child doesn't seem to be around any more ?

It was actually quoted and linked up thread. People asked and were told that DCF had the child. Other neighbors reported that they didn't recognize the picture. I think the artist and all of LE were fantastic, but it's not an easy task.

A lot of speculation by many fantastic sleuthers early on had determined that the mom would be lying and that the picture didn't register with relatives. Still 150 kids were ruled out (I don't remember the number lol)

Having said that, my browser keeps changing "sleutherts" to "slathers" and then it just closes.

So at this point there are no arrests therefore I will not post names or SM links.

Hope my post goes through fellow slathers.

The mom and the FB postings remind me of someone in my extended family. She was into drugs and bad boyfriends, but then suddenly would “clean up” and be the perfect mom, to the point of going overboard. She doted on her son, focused on housework and cooking, did all sorts of really fun things with the child….and then she just couldn’t hold it together and would disappear. (The child’s grandparents had custody.) The attraction of drugs and a druggy boyfriend were stronger than the mundane routine of being a parent day in and day out.

I don’t know if Bella’s mom actually left physically, but I think she “checked in and out” of parenting.

I think a bad boyfriend/husband, drugs, and lack of self-discipline led to this horrible tragedy. I do think Bella’s mom loved her baby, but she wasn’t fit for the mundane attention that’s required of parents.

Well, the truth is about to come out and we’ll know for sure.
I'm not a drug user but back when I was still insecure about my parenting skills, I did very much the same thing. I needed everyone else to see me as a good mom because at that point, I couldn't. If you look closely though, you can see the cracks - her concern isn't really over Bella, but herself. She leaks things like 'I wish I could afford this for myself...' or 'I wish I had this...'

Very telling where her priorities actually lie. It all seems about making her, not Bella, feel better.

Ugh. The "mother's" voice in that video...harsh! And she seemed to get irritated with Bella when she wasn't looking at what she said to look at. Just UGH

She has 93 friends now. Didn't she have 96 when this all started? And people are sharing her photos from her FB page

This is just so unbelievably sad!

I don't like the sound of Mom's voice in the video...something off about it. MOO

RIP Bella

Anyone else having Caylee flashbacks? Same age, same hair, same eyes, mother goes on as if nothing happened.....

The neighbor said she had never seen the Baby Doe image but when it was shown to her she immediately recognized it as the girl that lived next door.

It is unfortunate that she did not see it earlier.

What kind of person would criticize the forensic artist today? Shameful.
I guess this is aimed at me. I would because I carefully examine each and every artist rendering of the missing/unidentified when they are found to see if the likeness is such that it warrants the amount of time it takes to ID them. I look to see what could be done differently. I look to figure out what, if anything, could have prevented an ID from being made right away.

It is easy in hindsight for the neighbor to recognize the rendering. However, she probably would not have been so certain if she had seen it before.

Granted, I don't know exactly what the artist had to work with upon finding this beautiful little one, but I have to wonder if the eyebrows were intact or not. It would have made a huge difference in this case (imo). Her hair is another thing I have to assume was there and yet the rendering was not even close to consistency or color, imo.

Like I mentioned, I found another child who looked exactly like this rendering and it wasn't Bella or even the same ancestry as Bella, imo.
