Interesting point! I'm ASSUMING that she was covered by MassHealth(Medicaid) and probably RB was receiving WIC.

Most Medicaid patients are "suggested" to receive services at a FQHC (federally qualified health center) aka "Community Health Center". The nearest one is http://www.massleague.org/findaheal...?hcid=25&lat=42.281649&lng=-71.08149600000001 (Directions to Codman Square Health Center). IF this agency practices in the same manner as my FQHC (yeah, I volunteer & work with the living patients also! ), then BB would/could have been seen by multiple providers (MDs. NPs, & "floaters").

BUT......RB could have "shopped" at 26 other FQHC sites, all within 5 (FIVE) miles of Maxwell Street!

Wow! That is nice coverage. Where I live, we had one peds option who took medicaid and she was 20 miles away. And dental care was 2 hrs away.

I mean, providers were listed in the book, but when you actually call to make an appt, they say, "oh! Medicaid? We don't take those patients".

That was the worst year. My ex was out of a job and 18 months behind on child support AND the healthcare as ordered on our divorce agreement. And still, Medicaid was almost ZERO help. . That was the first and hopefully last time I seek assistance. It was not very "assisting".

What family money? MM was an addict living with his mother in an apartment until she died. Then he went downhill.
I don't see any family money there.

Here the Medicaid system is very "user friendly", even for adults. I've had to be on it for a time and I never had a problem finding anywhere to take it, and they covered everything. I was able to continue seeing my primary doctor from when I had group coverage through my previous job as well as all the specialists I was seeing for a serious medical issue I was having. I'm sorry it was so difficult where you are. It should not be that hard to see a doctor when you truly need it!

I wonder if he has tried other murder cases? Was it simply his turn on the roster or does he believe MM is wrongfully convinced. Another option is that Mr. J. Shapiro is fully aware of MM's guilt but stepped in to make sure MM wasn't overcharged??? Maybe?

I doubt if it has a thing to do with Occupy. They were homeless and taking advantage of a situation, I feel. I doubt if they had any philosophical things to contribute,

I bet it was free food and someplace to stay other than a shelter which segregates males and females.

Are the attorneys in some kind of rotation where they provide free services because they are so well established and money is not an issue?

Just wanted to come here and be sad. A Caylee all over again. I'm angry. I'm sad. How a mother can stand by and cover up for someone who does this to their baby is beyond my comprehension. I would be in jail if my boyfriend did something to my baby the way he did to Bella.

And shame on everyone who didn't step forward. Now people are coming out of the woodwork saying " Well she looked a little familiar". A neighbor shared a wall with Bella's bedroom wall and hadn't heard the child in months and saw this photo on the news and didn't put the pieces together. Sickening.

I don't care whatsoever what the bio father's opinion on this is, as he doesn't even seem to know the child or care...forgive me.

I don't think my heart can take another trial. I pray for sweet Bella, that her troubles are over and that she's not hurting.

I thought the artist's composition of Bella was almost spot on, except the eyebrows. In some side by side photos you can definitely see the resemblance.

Rotation usually happens in DP cases.. no DP in Mass. Shapiro is a legend in Mass. and well into his 70s i would imagine.. RB's lawyer says in the clip posted earlier that she likes being a public defender.. so she may be one who does PD work and also has a private practice. Even if you are court appointed ( and have a private practice).. you get paid.. not an hourly rate of 500 or better that you would get from a private client but you get paid by the state. In Shapiro's case i am going to bet he was privately hired..JMO

What fame? The mystery is over and the circumstances of the case now resembles hundreds that happen every year, the lowlife mother and the deadbeat boyfriend killing the child.

As much as it pains me to say it, the picture of McCarthy that looks like a dmv pic- (not the pic he looks stoned in abd has a pony tail in) looks like a clean cut Irish preppy guy. He looks like trouty mouth from Glee. Maybe he is from a well off family and was once a spoiled before he got mixed up with drugs? He must be if they hired this legend for him??
