No matter what Bella's bio father's failings or how he lacked or checked out as a father of any sort to Bella, I agree with cvaldez, he has never been charged with killing a baby. So, yeah, I may find him to be a not nice guy,I may have lots of personal opinions about him and his life and behaviors and decisions. The main focus here remains Bella and the murder of this beautiful baby girl.

Thank you and yes, despite all else unless he is charged in relation to Bella he falls in the victim category.

I do hope Mr. Amoroso finds peace. Giving credit where credit is due, if not for Mr. Amoroso's return to Boston, I do not know if we would have ever known Baby Doe's real name, Bella Bond.

The two defendants have another court hearing on July 11. They won’t be there and neither will Amoroso. He failed to show at a recent court hearing on shoplifting charges.

How was he responsible for us knowing the name? He didn't report the disappearance to the police. What would he be getting credit for?

Baby Doe was identified as Bella Bond due to MM's friend Sprinsky and his sister. When JA found out from RB that Bella had been murdered he didn't contact authorities.

The breakthrough came when Michael Sprinsky, a man who had lived briefly with McCarthy and Bond before Bella was killed, told investigators that the child’s mother had told him what happened to the girl.

Suffolk Assistant District Attorney David Deakin said Sprinsky told investigators that Bond broke down in tears and told him “I’ll never see my daughter again. Michael McCarthy killed her and I’m an accessory after the fact because I helped get rid of the body.”

Sprinsky contacted his sister, Laura, who told him about the case of the child found dead on Deer Island, the prosecutor said.

Also siting in the first row of the courtroom was Amoroso, who said that Bond told him about Bella’s death last Wednesday.

Amoroso did not contact authorities with the information, the Globe has reported.

I didn't say he reported it. I said without him asking to see Bella there may not have been a confession. His sudden appearance did make a difference, like it or not.

Blame game over Bella Bond's death in full swing ahead of the coming trial

He persistently searched for drugs, hitting up his dealer over 306 times in August and September 2015, until his arrest for the murder of Bella Bond.

She has a history of neglecting children before she even met him.

But a review of legal filings in Suffolk Superior Court shows the case devolving into a "he said, she said" affair as Bond and McCarthy, through their attorneys, blame each other for the youngster's death and seek each other's medical and psychiatric records.

He continued: "At a McCarthy family reunion in Nashua, NH, that Bond and McCarthy attended in July 2015, Bond was relaxed and acted normally, and even went swimming in the pool."

McCarthy also maintained a regular schedule, going by himself to a methadone clinic and attending Mass at Sacred Heart Parish in North Quincy with his father every Sunday that summer, according to Shapiro's filing.

Bond even asked McCarthy to get drugs for her in June 2015, he added.

The next court date for both Bond and McCarthy is Sept. 27 in Suffolk Superior Court.
