Yes, this appears to be a he said/she said case. RB's trial has been set for December, but there has been no trial date set for MM. RB's attorney said she is going to try to get RB's case dismissed by the November 10 hearing. Why? Is she trying to work out some kind of a plea for testimony? Is there really not much of any evidence other than the weights similar to those in MM's father's plumbing shop and RB's stack of lies?

IMO RB should have been charged with first degree murder along with MM. It is already a horrible injustice to Bella that this did not happen. "IF" some kind of plea were to happen that makes it so much worse.

A judge later set Rachelle Bond's trial date to December 1, 2016.

(A great re-cap in Wikipedia if anyone needs to refresh on this case)

She said she plans to ask a judge to dismiss the case against Bond in time for the next court hearing, which is set for November 10.

Rachelle Bond's attorney questions credibility of tipster in murder of 2-year-old Bella Bond, whose body washed ashore

Bond's next court date is Thursday, Dec. 1 in Suffolk Superior Court. Her trial had originally been slated to start this month.
.....
The documents said Sprinsky acknowledged his sister sent him to a hospital for drug problems, Bassil wrote. Bassil added that he also checked himself into the psychiatric unit at another hospital.

"During this time period Sprinsky was a user of heroin, cocaine, alcohol and abused prescription pills," Bassil wrote in court documents seeking to obtain his medical records. "On the day the defendant told him about Bella's murder, he downed a pint of vodka in front of her to ward off delirium tremors he had from his abuse of alcohol."

If Rachelle Bond's case goes to trial, Bassil wrote that Sprinsky's credibility is "one of the most important issues" that will surface in the trial, in part because he is the "only witness to imply" that Bond helped McCarthy as an accessory after the fact.
...
McCarthy's trial, which would occur separately from Rachelle Bond's trial, could happen next year. His next court date is Dec. 22.

And what about Rachelle? She's a druggie and she, unlike Sprinsky, has a reason to lie.

I find this really like trickery. Just because someone's a junkie or an alcoholic, that gives them reason to lie about the drugs and alcohol use and things associated with them, but it doesn't necessarily mean they lie about other things that are not associated with their drug/alcohol use. Even before trial, Bassil is biasing the public against Sprinsky.

I hope the birthday video gets admitted.

They are all drug addicts, not just one, so the jury will have to decipher through the evidence and facts and IMO will be able to come to a reasonable conclusion and conviction.

Exactly.

When I think there is no way for someone to be more of a self serving low life, she just went and proved me wrong. What a completely worthless excuse for a human.

How about taking responsibility and paying the price for your crime? She makes me sick. I want to punch her in the throat and I'm not a violent person. Bella knows what you did, oh mother of the year. Bella knows.

I wouldn't even want to live if that happened to my kid and I allowed it, or worse yet did it.

Me either. Yet, Rachelle lived on and partied on and did heroine and continued to accept $1400 of welfare income. . . We don't even know if Bella was murdered in May or June because these 2 were so effed up and stored her in the refrigerator for weeks. Then dumping her little body in the water....

I'm not a violent person either, but I don't think I could be in the same room with Rachelle for even 5 minutes without throttling her or wringing her neck!! God forgive me!
