A Dorchester woman charged with helping to dispose of her dead 2-year-old daughter's body after her boyfriend allegedly killed her will ask a judge to dismiss charges against her this week.

Bond will be in Suffolk Superior Court Tuesday for a hearing on defense motions, including a request to dismiss the charges against her, WCVB reported.

Bassil said that Bond did not willingly participate in the disposal of her daughter’s body. Bassil has said Bond will testify against McCarthy when he goes on trial, likely later this year.

Bassil also argued Tuesday that Bond’s trial should be shifted to Berkshire County in western Massachusetts because of the heavy media attention around the case.

In court, she held up a copy of the Metro newspaper that featured a picture of Bond under the headline “Monster” as one example of the coverage. The negative tone will improperly sway Suffolk County jurors, she said.

Roach, who did not make an immediate ruling on Bassil’s requests, said the facts of the case “are sensational in their very nature.”

Bond is due back in court Jan. 26.

Prosecutor David Deakin said the state will recommend a sentence of time served if Bond testifies against her former boyfriend, Michael McCarthy, who is charged with murder.

Bond's sentence will be imposed after trial.

I am so mad I am shaking. This poor excuse for a decent human being never deserves to step foot in the free world ever again. What if she has more children?!? What about justice for Bella?!?!? She is going to get off with pinning this solely on someone else?!? She needs to admit her role in the death of her daughter and there is nothing in this world that would convince me that she didn't play the biggest role in her daughters death by being a horrible mother.
