Thanks BUF!

Yes, feels like RB will be getting a swat on her hand AGAIN! It's so sad that RB was allowed to have a third child that died due to her mother's neglect. It is unforgiveable. Then to throw Bella's little body away and let her lay unidentified for months in a morgue... Bella was a human being and her mother spat on her showing not an ounce of compassion that her child was dead and Bond was now free to spend Bella's money on drugs... heroin... meth... Nothing for Bella.

I have to be honest to myself for Bella's sake. Do I think MM is the one by whose hand Bella died? No. I think Bond was capable of killing her daughter. Do I think MM knew Bella was not in DCF custody? Yes, I think he knew. He knew she was in the refrigerator. He conspired with Bond to dispose of Bella's remains. I have to say give MM life for being part of the evil that took Bella's last breath from her little body. It's not about justice for Bella with MM, it is about what is right.

Give Bond the slap on the wrist and let her be free again. Let her be free to do all the drugs her veins can suck up until they fester and bleed and corrode into nothingness. Let her be free to jump into the cold black water that she so willingly tossed her daughter's body into. Let Bond be free, but it won't be right.

You are probably correct Boots...RB will implode when she gets out...if she makes it that far. There will still be years of people yelling "baby killer" in prison & she'll have no place to hide.

Since there isn't anything new, I've been looking at old articles. Do you think this demon stuff has anything to do with MMs charge...but it was RB that said that her not yet three year old was possessed by demons...geesh, what a mom!!

Wish we had more information.

______________

When Sprinksy suggested she might be able to get Bella back now that she was clean, Bond broke down in tears, Deakin said, relaying Sprinsky's account.

"I'll never see my daughter again," Bond allegedly told him before explaining that McCarthy had killed Bella and that she had helped McCarthy dispose of the body, according to Deakin.
.......
Sprinsky told police that after Bond's confession he texted McCarthy to ask if it was true that he'd killed Bella, and McCarthy repeated the assertion that the state had taken Bella, Deakin said.

"Who're you going to believe, me or" Bond, McCarthy replied, using a derogatory term for Bond, according to the prosecutor. A criminal complaint says he called her a "cracked-out hooker."
......
Sprinsky relayed to police that Bond said Bella was possessed by demons, and other friends of the couple told police that McCarthy claimed he had the ability to exorcise demons, according to the prosecutor.

Police found books on demons and demonology in the home, Deakin said.

On the night Bella died, Deakin said, the girl was being unruly and had refused to go to bed, her mother told police. McCarthy went to her bedroom to "calm her down" and when Bond checked on them, she found McCarthy standing over Bella with his hand near her stomach; her face was gray and her head was swollen, Bond told police, according to Deakin.

McCarthy wouldn't say what happened, according to Deakin's account of what Bond told police, but he told Bond, "She was a demon anyway. It was her time to die."
.....
When police told him that his story differed from Bond's, McCarthy said Bond might be trying to "save her own 🤬🤬🤬," denied having anything to do with Bella's death and requested a lawyer.

A most excellent question!! Yes, so, what happened to the demon-possession of Bella and an exorcism by MM as being what killed Bella?

(1) At one point, they really did plan on performing an exorcism on Bella. The books were MM's and I believe he had an interest in this kind of stuff, demon possession, exorcisms, etc. Sprinsky was probably witness to this and they probably all had some fascination with the occult and all that demon possession entails. RB's former BF was evidence of RB's interest in demon possession/occult too (grave digger with a history).

(2) RB thought this story was the closest they could come to getting off from charged with murder of Bella ?? Then it was explained to her that an exorcism takes more than the possessed and the exorcist in order to perform an exorcism.

I don't know, but I am curious as to how this story by RB went *poof* rather quickly. I do think MM had some fooled with his powers of exorcism. You have to admit MM's response to Sprinsky was quite on target with what a lot of us might have been thinking. Who you gonna believe? Me, or a drugged-out hooker.

I wanted to post this link to an inmate recently executed in Texas.

Texas executes man for killing 12-year-old boy

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — A South Texas man was executed Wednesday for the 1998 slaying of a 12-year-old boy whose blood the convicted killer said he drank after beating the seventh-grader with a pipe and slitting his throat.

Pablo Lucio Vasquez told police he was drunk and high when voices convinced him to kill David Cardenas in Donna, a Texas border town about 225 miles south of San Antonio. He also told detectives in a videotaped statement that he drank some of the boy's blood.

...

Court records showed Vasquez, his 15-year-old cousin, Andres Rafael Chapa, and Cardenas, Chapa's friend, all attended a party in Donna, a Texas border town where Vasquez and Chapa lived. Cardenas was from nearby Alamo, also in the Rio Grande Valley, and was spending the weekend with Chapa.

The killing occurred April 18, 1998, after the three left the party. Vasquez told authorities as they reached a wooden shed, he started hearing voices telling him to kill Cardenas.

"Something just told me to drink," Vasquez said in the statement to police.

"You drink what?" a detective asked.

"His blood," Vasquez replied.

Police received an anonymous tip about the slaying that led them to Chapa and eventually to Vasquez, who was arrested in Conroe, a Houston suburb more than 325 miles north of Donna. Authorities found the mutilated body five days later under some scraps of aluminum in a vacant field.

---

Vasquez declined an interview request from The Associated Press as his execution date neared. His statement to police about the devil and drinking blood fueled speculation about Satanism, but the subject never came up at Vasquez's trial or in appeals.

This guy's story about drinking this young boy's blood went *Poof* too. However, it was a border town and a lot of people are into Santa Ria worship, so it doesn't surprise me this guy wanted to drink his blood. Scary stuff!

The other guy, Chapa, is serving 35 years. 3 relatives who helped cover up the crime received a small fine and probation and 1 was deported back to Guatemala.

I had also read about his recent execution and his confession about drinking his victim's blood. I hadn't followed this case, but the little I read, there seemed to be nothing else about drinking the blood...gruesome!

I am still questioning whether they will use the demon thing against MM. There hasn't been really any mention of this other than at their initial arraignment. Matter of fact, there hasn't been anything on MM. I still check for any updates daily and nothing. Surely MM has had another hearing, but unfortunately the press doesn't seem to be covering it. I can't understand that in a case like this that had so much media attention that now has gone completely dead.

Has anyone seen anything reported that I may have missed?

Here's a surprising article from Vinton, LA;

http://www.sulphurdailynews.com/

"Brinson said that Bella’s Voice has been online for the past nine months until recently when the local chapter was formed. “Our goal is to eventually have a chapter in every state. A child has no voice, we have to be that voice. If at the end of the day we can save one child, then all this heartache is worth it,” she said."

Massachusetts Office of Child Advocate could become independent
"Maria Mossaides, from the state Office of the Child Advocate, addresses reporters after the release of a review of the Bella Bond case"
"Massachusetts has recently had several high-profile incidents of children who were hurt or killed while under state supervision."

The dude is probably on drugs. But he never killed a baby so, there is that.

Again??!! Good lord. I feel like a fool for taking his born again Facebook posts (when Bella was originally identified) as hope he had turned a new leaf and was trying to make amends. Boy was I wrong!

  • #256
I gave him one chance. He failed. I believe he and Bond thought they had cooked up a plan to fool LE and cash in on people's sympathy with regards to Bella. They were so wrong.

So second theft charge in a year. Is he looking at any decent amount of jail time?

  • #258
No matter what Bella's bio father's failings or how he lacked or checked out as a father of any sort to Bella, I agree with cvaldez, he has never been charged with killing a baby. So, yeah, I may find him to be a not nice guy,I may have lots of personal opinions about him and his life and behaviors and decisions. The main focus here remains Bella and the murder of this beautiful baby girl.

I can't help but think this little girl is in a better place than she would be with either of her "parents".
