JMO but I still think Rachelle was the killer not her dumb boyfriend. It was a given that she would plead guilty and testify against stupid.

From an "inside" forensic science source (okay, another Patriots' fan @ a SB party): there was great hope by the legal beagles that the OME would be able to determine by size or DNA just who's fists pummeled Bella. Decomp & massive tissue "disorientation" made it impossible but every possible permutation of science was tried! The staff @ the OME & the State crime lab went over this case "with a microscope" (pun, intended!).
This is NOT a "slam-dunk" case....it's becoming more & more obvious that "he said-she said" will be a defense employed and her plea deal will be used to bolster his "not guilty plea". He has a very capable atty! And as we've seen in the past, juries have problems with the concept of reasonable doubt!
Pros. team trying for parental, scientific, logical thinking & "common sense" type jurors!

Yes,burking was the term I could not remember. She was so mean to Bella in the birthday video. I could just see her trying to silence her if she was sick or fussy.

I was really hoping the jurors would lock them both up and throw away the keys. But sadly, it looks like they both might get away with murder...:sigh:

My issue with this is that if RB is the only thing they have to say MM did it, I personally wouldn't believe a word out of her mouth. I would need to hear something very damning and convincing to convict him (solely) of murder of Bella.

I fear that Rachelle set the whole thing in motion for MM to take the blame, so how could I take her word for anything against MM?

Rachelle could have got drugs from anyone. She didn't have to keep him around for the drugs. One day that relationship should/would have broken down, but would Rachelle have come forward then? She only came forward because she'd run out of excuses for why the babydaddy couldn't see Bella.

I want him to have a fair trial. I want him punished for everything he's truly guilty of. I wish she was also going to be punished for her part in it, though. I would rather see hard evidence, like Joypath said of DNA or fist imprints, that would firmly point to who did what.

Thats all true. But no matter who assaulted her, ultimately, they BOTH knew she was dumped like garbage, floating dead. They BOTH knew that and took part in that.

Man. What a shame. What a crying shame this kid, and so many kids, keep slipping through the cracks here in Boston.

I agree Greenbean. When my late brother was living with his Girlfriend after treatment rehab. She had 1 other kid that Dcf took 4 years earlier because she was on heroin. She got my late brother hooked again on it after 8 years of being sober and drug free. Because it was just another drug buddy and another victim for her. She is big time mental unsafe and insane from when she was like 6 years old, her family had her committed to a psy ward for 15 years then she left the state and was missing, how she got here we have no idea. How she met my brother was in treatment. But my brother went to jail because he overdose not once or twice. The judge put him in treatment and was told don't hang around with anyone who used drugs. That's how he met this unstable mental health woman who also was in the same treatment rehab as my brother. She became pregnant again and tried to pin it on my brother. Lucky my brother got a Dna and load and be hold it wasn't his baby and she lied to my parents it was his while he was in jail. Sadly that child was taken by Dcf and sent to her father's house in Canada and her mother has her daughter which she renamed. They both live in California now and want nothing to do with her. Sadly my brother had 7 overdoses and it killed him. She gave 5 conflicting stories to my family and none of them matched. She got away with murder of my brother. But that's not all, I found out a few years ago that she is dating or now married to another heroin addict and living close to her parents trying to get custody of her kids who are now 16 and 9 and the boyfriend or husband is trying to get her kids back too. Money talks and walks with his family. I was told by dcf that she will never get her kids back. Both her father and her mother (parents) adopted both kids and was told to not come around.

MM's trial is currently scheduled for April 11 and he is due back in court on Feb. 23.
