Jurors in the Bella Bond murder trial got a first-hand look Thursday at the Deer Island shoreline where in June 2015 a dog walker discovered the body of the little girl known then only as "Baby Doe."

It was one of six stops on a court-organized viewing of several locations that are central to the testimony in the case against Michael McCarthy.

In addition to Deer Island, jurors on Thursday were taken to Rachelle Bond's apartment in Dorchester, where McCarthy allegedly killed the girl in a back bedroom.

They stopped at the Reserve Channel in South Boston and were taken two by two down to the water's edge to see where prosecutors say McCarthy dumped the child's body. They were also taken inside a Quincy plumbing shop owned by McCarthy's dad, and a park near the Gillette plant.
