The wheels of justice are turning very slowly for Colleen and her family. I can't believe that the trial in this case is just starting given how quickly the questions of who and what were answered. I hope they find justice soon.

Unfortunately, this is the pace most murder cases are handled. I will say, it does take time to evaluate all the evidence in a case this significant, plus line up all the expert witnesses on both sides, and then you have the psych evaluations - add that into the court's other cases it is handling, and it's unsurprising that cases can take years to progress.
