A man who had spent 21 years behind bars for a murder he says he did not commit was released from prison Monday after a Massachusetts judge threw out his sentence, ruling that the prosecution's case was flawed.

Superior Court Judge David Lowy officially vacated a life sentence imposed on Angel Echavarria for the 1994 shooting death of Daniel Rodriguez in Lynn.

Prosecutors haven't decided whether or not to pursue a new trial.
