(May 5, 2017) - Bampumin Teixeira (30) arrested (5/5/17) & arraigned (9/12/18) of 2 counts 1st degree murder, armed robbery & kidnapping & 1 count armed house invasion. Plead not guilty. No bond.
Trial began on 11/19/19 with jury selection. Trial could start 11/21. 2 week trial.
11/19/19 Day 1: Six women & two men were seated on the jury Tuesday after prosecutors & Teixeira’s attorney, Steve Sack, went through 95 prospective jurors at Suffolk County Superior Court. Jury selection will resume 9 a.m. Wednesday, 11/20, with an anticipated two-week trial starting Thursday.

This will be interesting to follow. I know they keep stating that there was no known connection between the victims and perp, just wonder if the State has found anything. I know he used to work in the building, maybe he just saw them and hated them for what they had. Or it’s random....who knows what possessed this creep. What an awful way for them to die, tied up but together and unable to save each other.

I still wonder how RF was able to text his friend without the perp knowing. At least I think I remember he sent a text, but it’s been a long time since I followed this case.

Authorities have said they believe robbery was the motive. Police recovered a carving knife in the apartment as well as a bag containing Bolanos' jewelry.

Teixeira's attorney has not commented.

The 38-year-old Bolanos was a pediatric anesthesiologist at Massachusetts Eye and Ear.

The 49-year-old Field was an anesthesiologist at North Shore Pain Management.
